Re: Learning about the Qur'an from a Catholic archbishop

There is no one Islamic Salat. There is Salat. Each Tariqah has has its own take/interpretation on how to offer prayers. As for where to face during prayers: To ALLAH belongs the East and the West; so whithersoever you turn, there will be the face of ALLAH … (2:115) You see Ismailis faith (and gene...

Re: Learning about the Qur'an from a Catholic archbishop

Agakhani Ismailis recite "Du'a" instead of the Islamic Salat, facing any direction, in their Jamatkhanas. There is no one Islamic Salat. There is Salat. Each Tariqah has has its own take/interpretation on how to offer prayers. As for where to face during prayers: To ALLAH belongs the East and the W...

Re: Save the Bohras from Bahai Cult

Interesting. A non Bahai masquerading anti-Bahai site with Bahai affiliate sounding site names. A very clever and crafty approach. Many use this technique, it is like putting out honey pot to attract flies. Couple of interesting tid bits from one article of the site: At the outset, since the Bahais ...

For the one who keeps saying ' I am ok with them as long as they do not use violence', what about other Tariqahs who are currently using violence and are a disgrace to humanity let alone the legacy of Holy Prophet (pbuh). Is violence part and parcel of the so called pure Islam (Wahabbi, Salafi, ISIS...

One thing has sure come to the light that the self-proclaimed Atheist is definitely no Atheist because it is evident he has very strong feelings (fetishes???) about how certain people should act or not act.

Cool down guys. :)

This faith thing is very personal that is why even members of a single Tariqah have difference of opinions let alone people from different Tariqahs. (Or someone from 'No Tariqah' ).

Re: Learning about the Qur'an from a Catholic archbishop

Beliefs are fetishes. They are desires for somethings to be so. Religious beliefs in particular are like childhood fetishes. They are desires to remain attached to infantile indoctrination which is very attractive because it offers security in an imagined paradise of childhood. But you too have tho...

Re: Learning about the Qur'an from a Catholic archbishop

Ahle Sunnah are stuck in 1400 years old traditions. Some of them are very anachronistic. Only Prophet and Allah can change 5 founding principle of Islam. If you change it then it Is Bidah (Innovation) and forbidden in Islam. Salat and fast is no burden. I even pray in Public. After Holy Prophet(pbu...

Re: Learning about the Qur'an from a Catholic archbishop

You will find all kinds of denominations praying in Makkah and Madinah. You do not wait to be invited there. To clarify, azaan is a call to prayer heard five times a day in all masjids (not sure about Jamatkhanas). It is in fact an invitation to prayer for all Muslims. It is not true that all mosqu...

Ahle Sunnah have to keep performing prayers and other rituals in the same way as they were being performed 1400 years ago because they chose not follow Imams Actually there is no order in Quran to follow heridatory Imam from prophet's progeny and Prophet did not clearly appoint Ali as next leader. ...

Re: Learning about the Qur'an from a Catholic archbishop

While Muslims differ in minor ways in their prayers, they all follow qiyam, ruku, sujood and juloos reciting tashahud and ending with Salaam. These are outward forms of the salat. The real substance of the salat is in what is recited (surahs, ayats, supplications, durud etc) as part of it. Ismaili ...

Just because you have never heard of Aga Khan leading a prayer does not mean he hasn't. At the age of 7 or 8 he led Idd Namaz in Nairobi Jamat Khana. When he came to the seat of Imamat he led Friday prayers at Sunni Mosque in Tanzania like his grandfather had done. Just because you haven't heard th...

al-Baghdadi wants to lead prayers in the Grand Mosque in Makka. That would be a symbolic and crowning glory for Radical Islam. I have never heard of Aga Khan leading a prayer in any mosque in any country. A pesh-Imam leads prayer. Al-Bagdadi needs to do that to legitimize himself. Otherwise he is a...
