A straight forward answer to the question is that Muffy uses SMB as a marketing tool as he is aware that abdes in general have very high regard for SMB and it is very easy to surcharge them emotionally and lighten their pockets in his name. He is also unsure about the verdict in the ongoing court case so he wants to loot as much as he can before the judge delivers the final verdict.

No matter what the abdes or Muffy's marketing team says but the fact remains that Muffy is not confident of winning the case or else why would he keep on taking adjournments on one pretext or the other ??
