The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

It is said in the hadis of sahih bukhari that the rasool had declared unlawful for himself and his family anything given by the people by way of zakat or sadaqa. The rasool was so particular about this that he would not appoint any member of his family as a zakat collector.<br>But we are well aware as soon as ramazan approaches mumineen are called one by one to the local amil to empty their pockets for all kinds of money and typical bohri bargaining takes place between the local amil and the mumin to reach a final figure acceptable to both parties

Isn´t it time for a sensible bohri to start thinking, that, just the idea of bargaining must be wrong, when it comes to paying ones zakat. Open your eyes and help other bohri in opening their eyes too. They can always give their zakat directly to the needy themselves without having to go thru a middleman or an agent (kothari or amil in this case)
