We kept on perpetually getting the notice " an error has occured, we are getting this fixed as soon as possible".

The rough translation of the Address in the Gujarati language is:

"Asghar Engineer, he will die a dog's death". Among other things, he is also called a swine or a pig etc.

This type of the Address and its contents tarnishes the FACEBOOK's otherwise excellent image and goodwill and it's popular name.

Please consider cancelling this address and banish its 289 members and all its office bears together with all the associated groups forthwith and orer them to cease and desist from indulging in such filthy practices in future.

This is a slanderous and derogatory group to insult and defame Dr. Asghar Ali Engineer, a well-respected scholar and intellectual from India.

This group violates the privacy and dignity of Dr. Engineer by publishing his distorted -"demonized' - photo and writing abuse and profanity against him (most of in the Gujarati language). The persons who have organized this group probably have done it out of hate against him because Dr. Engineer is a prominent leader of a reformist group which challenges the powerful priesthood of a small Muslim sect, the Dawoodi Bohras.

Dr. Engineer is a peace-loving, gentle and renowned public intellectual who is invited to speak on Islam and religion all over the world, including the USA. Only last month (April) he was at UCLA Riverside and in Toronto, Canada as a keynote speaker. He is a voice of moderation and understanding and does not deserve to be treated in such a shameful way.
