Syednas donation to Tsunami Appeal.

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

Syednas donation to Tsunami Appeal.

In light of the recent tragic events in Asia and the desperate need for aid and money, anyone have any suggestions to how much the priesthood should contribute?

Dear Smoothie,

Whether Syedna contributes or not, I think it is our duty to contribute for the benefit of the victims of Tsunamis. Sending your money to your local Red Cross or other credible charities as soon as possible would be best. We should not expect others to contribute when we ourselves do not do anything. We should also offer prayers for the victims and their families. That is my thought.

Dear Brother Africawala,

And what makes you think that smoothie or humsafar or anybody else for that matter hasn't contributed anything?

We obviously first need to do what we personally can to help the victims...as far as the Syedna, I am assuming it will happen if there is a proper photo-op with some politician that can be used ("sold") as propaganda on mulumaat or mumineen websites. Until then, they will continue to focus on global toilets. The community will not lift a finger until there is a "farmaan".

I hope I am not being unduly unfair here....

Guys, please desist from giving ideas to bhaisaabs and bhensaabs (sic) about raising money to help the tsunami victims. I am now waiting, with bated breath, for summons to contribute; the money inevitably disappering down the black hole of daawat-e-haadiya.

Perhaps, we will avoid the fate seeing that no "mumineen" appear to be affected by the tsunami due to the dua-mubarak of our beloved moula!

Dear brother anajmi,

It wasn't my intention to presume anything about brothers Humsafar and smoothie or anybody else on this site. I apologise if I came out sounding like that. I am sure people have sent their monies in to credible charities. Most of our friends, family members and ourselves, have already sent in. Hope all Muslims will give generously in the tradition of Islam. Salaams.

Dear Brother Africawala,

Some people may choose not to say even if they have helped in one way or another. May peace be upon them. As far as hope is concerned, let us hope and pray that Allah helps them, instead of hoping that other humans will help them. Muslims who die in a natural disaster have an easier road to heaven than you or I do inshaallah.

One can always hope and pray that Allah helps them, or one can roll up their sleeves or open up their wallets and try to help the best way they can. Unfortuntely, hope is not feeding the starving and Allah's help may not reach them quick enough. Think of it as an "Act of God" testing what humans can do on their own.

Dear Average Bohra,

You said it all. Thanks.

Brother anajmi,

You say: "Muslims who die in a natural disaster have an easier road to heaven than you or I do inshaallah."

Not all the people who died were Muslims. So where do the non-Muslim victims of disaster go?
And what about those they left behind, Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

They have a choice: Either wait for Allah to throw food, clothing and shelter from Heaven, or get relief from Non-Muslims (as you can see most of the countries that have pledged MOST money so far are non-Muslims).The most money coming from Japan - 500 million, and U.S. 350 million.

Allah's other creation is human nature. Human nature will dictate to choose the latter, i.e. accept whatever relief comes your way.

So let us not find an excuse that Allah will help them and there is no need for human beings to help them.

Salaams and Peace.

I am sorry I am not a part of great folks like you who along with their family and friends and thrown some dollars for the victims and cannot wait to announce that they have.

Infact from today I am going to stop praying to Allah to help them and am going to start telling people how I, my family and friends have helped and they should help too. In fact I am going to announce this at the mosque.

Am I talking to complete idiots on this board?

First, how do you know that you are the only ones who have opened up his/her wallet and the others are just praying and not paying at the same time?

Second, you are the only people who seem keen to announce that they have thrown some dollars for the victims, I think it has more to do with showing that you have helped rather than helping. Just as the western nations who announced a meagre sum before been ridiculed all over.

Even India which has suffered a lot actually gave more money to sri lanka and indonesia than the US when they announced the hefty sum of 15 million dollars. And 350 million that you mention is a pledge, hasn't been paid yet and may not be paid ever. They seem more eager to announce like the two of you that they are going to help rather than just helping.

As far as muslim victims are concerned, the righteous will go to heaven according to the prophet saw. The death of a righteous muslim in a natural disaster is similar to that of a shahid. As far as the non-muslims are concerned, they will go to hell as has been clearly mentioned in the quran. Consider it to be the beginning of their punishment.

Of course by saying the above I hope I am not taking over Allah's job ;)

Boy, have we touched a raw nerve! If it would make you happy, Saudi Arabia has donated 10 Million dollars!!!! Pakistan has sent a plane of shipment and I won't mention what India has done because you might get indigestion. I wish other Muslim countries would "just pledge" even if they do not want to pay, like you say, the U.S. will probably not pay!!! In the meantime, Americans are pledging, pledging and pledging, without drawing a line between who will benefit from their donations.

That is what I am trying to get through your thick skull, why care about what or how much others have done or will do. Just make sure that you do what you can and then pray to Allah for the rest. He may cause the Americans to pledge or the Saudis to pay.

But I don't think I am having any success getting the message through.

Consider this to be my last post on this topic.

I did not see your second posting. Again, I ask how do you sleep at night with so much hatred for non-Muslims. You probably went through a very troubled childhood or have suffered a lot in your life. May Allah have Mercy on you. All your postings are on Iraq. You have taken over all the listings. Why don't you open your own site on Iraq. I normally do not read what you post and I regret I ever read your posting on this thread because as usual you do not make any sense.

Yes, you have definitely taken over Allah's job by saying that non-Muslims have gone to Hell. I hope you realise it is a Sin. Have you visited Hell or are you living in a Hell Hole? Sounds like you are because a person who shows so much hatred is a person who is burning and has no peace. How can anybody talk sense to you. You are not only pathetic but unreachable. May Allah help you.

Sometimes I even wonder if you are a Bohora or a former bohora because Bohoras are not so ignorant, neither are they so hateful.

For haven's sake, let us show respect for all human beings who have been created by the only CREATOR. His other name is LOVE. Oh, why am I wasting my time. You don't know what Love is. Goodbye and Good Luck brother.

Brothers and Sisters

I will not comment on my personal contribution for the aid and relief for the people affected in the Tsunami disaster. To this day im still contributing, through many fund raising efforts and seperate charities. It is not the amount that is important, its the thought.

I raised this question because there maybe Bohras who are not in a postion any contribution at all but have the victims of the disaster in there thoughts.

I thought it would be a nice gesture for Sayedna to donate a lump sum on behalf of Bohras all around the world.

Africawala,

I thought it would be advisable to post my response to your idiotic post. I am posting from Yusuf Ali's translation of the quran. I know that you have chosen to ignore what Allah has ordained and have chosen to be with those of other religions in the hereafter rather than those who follow Islam.

2.165
Yet there are men who take (for worship) others besides Allah, as equal (with Allah): They love them as they should love Allah. But those of Faith are overflowing in their love for Allah. If only the unrighteous could see, behold, they would see the penalty: that to Allah belongs all power, and Allah will strongly enforce the penalty.

2.166
Then would those who are followed clear themselves of those who follow (them) : They would see the penalty, and all relations between them would be cut off.

2.167
And those who followed would say: "If only We had one more chance, We would clear ourselves of them, as they have cleared themselves of us." Thus will Allah show them (The fruits of) their deeds as (nothing but) regrets. Nor will there be a way for them out of the Fire.

2.211
Ask the Children of Israel how many clear (Signs) We have sent them. But if any one, after Allah's favour has come to him, substitutes (something else), Allah is strict in punishment.

2.212
The life of this world is alluring to those who reject faith, and they scoff at those who believe. But the righteous will be above them on the Day of Resurrection; for Allah bestows His abundance without measure on whom He will.

3.10
Those who reject Faith,- neither their possessions nor their (numerous) progeny will avail them aught against Allah: They are themselves but fuel for the Fire.

3.11
(Their plight will be) no better than that of the people of Pharaoh, and their predecessors: They denied our Signs, and Allah called them to account for their sins. For Allah is strict in punishment.

3.12
Say to those who reject Faith: "Soon will ye be vanquished and gathered together to Hell,-an evil bed indeed (to lie on)!

3.106
On the Day when some faces will be (lit up with) white, and some faces will be (in the gloom of) black: To those whose faces will be black, (will be said): "Did ye reject Faith after accepting it? Taste then the penalty for rejecting Faith."

4.150
Those who deny Allah and His messengers, and (those who) wish to separate Allah from His messengers, saying: "We believe in some but reject others": And (those who) wish to take a course midway,-

4.151
They are in truth (equally) unbelievers; and we have prepared for unbelievers a humiliating punishment.

So I am telling you again - the non-believers are going to hell. Allah has made it amply clear in the quran. There are hundreds more such ayahs in the quran. Go read it.

And no I do not hate the non-believers, I don't need to, they're screwed in any case, I just pity them. Don't be amongst them.

And I think you've been watching a lot of bollywood movies, what with love and all :) .

anajmi,

You know very well that I was referring to your nonsensical rhetoric and not the Qur'an.

Danish is right in that Kaba has become the symbol of worship. You say people go there to invoke Allah S.W.T. You can do so staying at home or going to Mosque. After Allah S.W.T. says that he is closer to you than your jugular vein.

We all know that Muslims believe that when they go for Hajj their sins are forgiven. Who forgives their sins in Mecca? What guarantee do they have that their sins are forgiven. Allah S.W.T. told Prophet Dawood that he could not forgive his sins that he committed against another person, so what makes anybody think that by going to Kabba or on Hajj their sins will be forgiven, especially those committed against other human beings?

I know an alcoholic bohora relative who goes for Hajj every other year. He is a very good man and is very devoted to his faith but he has this one habit. He believes his sins will be forgiven. May be and may be not.

Why go to Mecca to throw stones at the Shaytan? Why can't you stay home and kill the Shaytan in you. In the process of gathering stones people trample on each other. Are stones that important?

And what about the ladies who are harassed by unscrupulous men during the tawaf. Please spare me your nonsense.

The only person stooping low here is you because you claim to know so much and you are quoting Qur'an at every juncture, but do you know the meaning?

What good is a load of books on the back of a donkey!

You sound like somebody fresh out of a Madressah somewhere in Taliban country.

Africawala,

It is obvious that you and danish are a couple of donkeys with a load of books on their backs. That is probably the reason why you haven't been able to refute a single ayah that I have posted. You would need to understand them first.

As far as muslims believing what they believe in is because the prophet Mohammed told them it was going to be so. Had they believed in donkeys like you and danish they would've been doomed like the two of you are.

As far a unscrupulous men in Hajj are concerned, is it a problem with those men or with hajj? Obviously a donkey wouldn't understand the difference.

Go to a maddrassah and get some knowledge before professing to know Allah and his quran. But as far as I know, donkeys are not permitted.

Just one question, out of the millions of muslims going for Hajj all you thought about was a couple of unscrupulous men? Is that what you are most interested in during Hajj?

And as far as stoning of the Shaitan is concerned, I do that over here on this board too, however, doing it during Hajj is required by Allah and his rasul.

brothers salaam,

Muslims gathering at Hajj has more to do with the universal message of Islam where people from different lands, colours, strengths, cultures, languages, rich or poor assemble.

Its main intention is Unity among ummah and if its meaning is well understood by muslims, such a platform can help in solving the global issues that we are facing.

Dear brother anajmi,

Charity begins at home. Look inside yourself and throw stones at that shaytan. Just mind your own business and keep your pig snout out of other people's business. I am sure they can take care of themselves.

With all your judgemental and hate postings, you need to shake your own house first and take a stock of the shaytans inside you and deal with them. Hate is shaytan, judging others is shaytan, and the biggest shaytan lives inside people who have no compassion. Get it?

Donations and contributions are one's personal thing. To give or not to give and if to give how much to give, no one should ask that question.

As far as nations or countries go - Japan, USA, Holland, Canada are the front runners. Australia, Germany, China, England and Israel have been sending donations.

Where are the Muslim countries? that is pitty. Saudia, Kuwiat, UAE, no one to donate. Where are Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Malaysia with their help?

For bohras, alas! donot ask. Plz do not give ideas to lotters and thugs. someone has very rightly said, they will push for donations and that will go the pockets to dakoos of dawat-e-hadiyah (BS). bait-e-zaini are a bunch of clever but cheap thieves headed by old jokker burhan.

Bohras will even not raise a finger if there is no farman..!!! they do not have any fingers (or for that matter anything else!) to raise..!!! The Royal Family Finger is up their ....!!!!! and they are have fun and pleasure in that only.

Bohras always say Lanat to Awal, Sanee and Salis.

You know who these three guys are??

Awal = Dai (Burhan)
Sanee = Mazoon (Khozema)
Salis = Mukasir (Hussain)

AND lets we all togehter say LANAT to Awal, Sanee and Salis ....!!!!!

REMEMBER those bohras who are chmachas of burhan and reading this - who Awal, Sanee and Salis are.
