I grew up in Bohra family and always followed Bohras traditions. In Dar es Salaam, Tanzania while eating a meal from thaal, I was actively discourage to eat anything with a spoon. I was told to make use of my five fingers or right hand. I was also told that we need to sit and eat in thaal.
However, seeing the photograhs of "top shots" it reminds me of a book by George Orwell, the ANIMAL FARM.

It is unfortunate that our present so called religious leadership has taken us far from true religion of Islam and now they are taking us far from our tradition.
