Malikul Ashtar

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

How many times have you said here that Shia are rafdi
Not once. I am not even sure what rafdi means. Does it mean idol worshipper? Cause that I have said many times.

More fundamental than any of the concepts you have mentioned is the belief in Allah, whose existence you have denied. So, what does that tell you about yourself? The word "hypocrite" comes to mind. Suitable isn't it?

Maybe you guys do not deserve anything better than bending and folding hands in front of a conman!!
Oh, come on, Mullah Saheb (LA). Please be truthful at least. How many times have you said here that Shia are rafdi, expressed opinions contrary to most fundamental aspects of Shia and Bohra, like being against the concept of Imamat, the dua't mutlaqeen, the concepts of Ismaili philosophy. Please, stop lying at least. I know you for 15 years! Every opportunity, every turn, you have opposed Isamili and Bohra beliefs. Every turn you have used gutter like language to drive out well-meaning folk. Every opportunity you used to attack fundamental Bohra and Shia beliefs, so much so, that people have turned away in disgust. And now, you are acting all offended and want to show you are a white knight! I mean, I really think you are loosing it. How can one sound so earnest and lie so well?
oh come on bits dar!!! what sane person wouldn't challange the concept of imamat?

One last question before I apologize for calling you a kafir. Is that God, Allah, or is it some generic god?

Allah, Khuada, God. All the same. I have said many times that I consider myself a Bohra, an Ismaili, a Shia. I may sometimes may make fun of some aspects of religion or may appear sarcastic, but honestly, we are too serious on this board. Thats why I think people like Al Zulfikar are valuable as they poke humor in uber-serious Abdes, Qutbis and other assorted fanatics.

But, no hard feelings, my friend. I do not consider you my enemy. We are just two people with very different views of things. We need more views and more people with your passion. Even though I was rude to you (for which I apologize) I really do not mean you any harm. You sometimes bring a valuable view here, even though it is main-stream Sunni view and not acceptable to most Bohras.

Do you include the greatest scholar on Quran, Islam and Bohras, al-aleem, al-rasheed sheikh-ul-faazil anajmi among 'assorted fanatics'?

Then I am all agog waiting for Al Zulfikar to poke his caustic humor at him. :D

Well, I apologize for calling you a kafir.

As far a humor goes, I make fun of people and their idols all the time. I also make fun of the "Bohra religion" all the time. As the old timers are aware, I used to be a bohra and much of my family is still bohra. Now, the only reason I am not a bohra is because I no longer bow down to the Dai or consider him the center of the universe. Heck, he is inconsequential as far as Islam is concerned and actually harmful to those who seek for follow Islam as taught by the prophet (saw).

Now some people say that belief in Allah is not suited for the modern man. These ignoramuses do not realize that you do not need to be a modern man to reject Allah. Even 14 centuries ago there were people who rejected Allah and his angels.

Coming back to something more serious, what do you think of the ayah 18:26 of the Quran? I gave my understanding of that ayah on a different thread.

No need to reject Allah and his angels at all. Why, we would then have to reject Dumbledore, Gandalf, Superman, Santa Clause et al. Think what a poor world would that be!

We have fanatical following of all the above characters. That makes for a rich cultural mix!!

That is the difference between a smart modern man and a stupid modern man. Dumbledore and the others are fictional characters identified as fictional characters by their authors. You would've sounded a little less stupid if you had given the example of Rama or Krishna cause the creators of those at least identify them as real!!

when I was a kid used to read about prince charming, handsome and ripped ( India calls them six pack)

now when I see QJ and Chuster the word prince or Shezada is completely abused definition......argh

the princesses or shezadis god help us if we saw them ...

now that their brother is the lord ...when do QJ and Chuster drop their titles for the real princes ?

now on the other hand some of SKQ sons still fit the eligibility of handsome princes

And some may forget QJ and SKQs princes are like cousins...right...must be odd arguing wit a 70plus year old prince cousin

The one sitting next to Chuster is his pet dog Kutub Lokhandwala who though stays in Kandivli but tags along his master wherever he goes !! Kutub was once a nobody and a vagabond who was famous for his dadagiri but Chuster spotted him and elevated him to higher ranks. He now owns a huge automobile showroom on the main M.G. Road at Kandivli and dabbles in real estate. No prizes for guessing who finances him !

Chushter was in Chicago some time back where he received such a lukewarm response that the Amil's wife kept on calling and messaging amtes requesting them to somehow give Ziyafat to chushter. She even offered huge discounts upto 50% and said that although his charges are 12,000 USD, she will manage to bring it down to 6,000 USD, she even gave the option of hosting Ziyafats in restaurants in case if hosting it in the house was a problem....... Chushter must be saying "Muffy Sarkar mein na jaane acche din kab aayenge" !!

from the previous picture; there was a comment as to what was he holding in the red handkerchief? My answer" the family jewels.
It makes me sick to see our young generation folding hands to this chuster 420. This new generation should be full of confidence in their own selves and face the world but instead here you see them with their tails between their legs asking for mercy , and for what? This guy they are folding their hands to, is not going to give them anything? it will purely be their struggle in life to make something of them selves and when they do then this leech of a person will try to suck the fruit of your hard work that really is for you to enjoy. Allah blesses you for your hard work. do not waste it on these corrupt and conniving leeches of your religion. These are not and never will be the leaders of your religion.
Praise Allah and bow to none other.

the whole idea of this ghulami is based on patriotism. Patriotism is desirable but is based on ignorance. It can lead to abuse and that is what is happening. One does not know what he or she is standing up for. It is all about past traditions and cannot produce useful knowledge. Our religion thrives a lot on superstition and social evils that are holding up progress.

I am sorry I do not usually comment but I wonder if these Houston-ites are blind to their optics? They are living in an environment very unfriendly to Muslims, in a state where Muslims are frequently protested against (http://www.chron.com/news/politics/texa ... 048881.php) and in a city where mosques are burned to the ground (http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/2 ... -love.html) and in a town where mosques are the target of possible terror attacks (http://articles.latimes.com/2014/apr/02 ... k-20140402). Despite that, they are parading around, at night, in full traditional gear, wrapping themselves in Saudi type shawls and carrying ceremonial Yemeni knives on motorcycles, exploding things in the sky? Now... I'm all for celebrating your holidays, and being proud of your culture, but at some point you just have to be safe and have common sense!

They may have hired private security guards. Looks like MA has lots of money to afford such arrangements.

Maybe he is contemplating coming clean on the conspiracy to make MS dai or could it be that he just cannot stand his older brother?

He visited our city once after Burhanuddin Moula's wafat and it was obvious to me that he was not his brother's most enthusiastic supporter! I am sure he has his reasons. A secret can be a big burden to bear...
