Prosecutors in Australia decide not to seek for retrial. They showed mercy on the children. A retrial would have caused the children to take a witness stand.
Justice system would have been seen as unfair and recommended a retrial after the national High Court contradicts state supreme court. What is interesting is how the court of appeal got it wrong.
Before Abdes celebrate fake news that will spread think carefully. Dawaat did not win, they were spared a retrial which would take years and with High Court ruling on prosecution side would have resulted in guilty verdict.
Prosecutors have made their point they won at national High Court, the laws are intact and adequate. Media and trial showed how abhorrent Dawoodi Bohra practises are.
If Dawaat thinks this is a strategy to prolonging a case and create mistrial or take a chance to score a win. The world has changed, Bohras are no longer that discreet community that the world only saw the good side. It has an ugly underbelly on several aspects that the world is now very aware of.
We move on .

So it's not yet over. There are hundreds of cases under investigation across the globe , and when time is right and evidence is sufficient they will charge and public will know.
