Bro dawedaar,

Personally, I don't give a religious color to yoga but the timing is questionable as the emphasis on Yoga started after Narendra Modi's campaign so its more about pleasing the butcher of Muslims and his Hindutva agenda rather then its health benefits. There was no such thing during the era of earlier Dais although the origin of Yoga is almost a thousand years back. Even the wadhavni rasam which is similar to Aarti was introduced during SMB's time and not by earlier Dais.

Also, the yoga campaign is very strong but only in India. Havent heard anything about it where I live - maybe others can correct if this is not true for their jurisdiction..This is contrary to the uniform policies applied globally for all other things.

Therefore, motive is certainly questionable.

Yes, studying in jamea these days is a fad. It is a status symbol to show off among abdes to get their kids into jamea. Talent or aptitude to excel is not a criteria. If u have right connections, then u get a seat.

Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (RA) was known to practice Yoga every morning! A yoga room was also made in Saifee Hospital long before Modi came to power... Stop equating everything to Modi rule! Congress ruled this country for more that 60 years. What good it did for the muslims? I do know most yoga practices are neutral and nothing to do with religion, but there are many things which need to understand, example surya namazskar is purely worship of sun, and to be honest for a muslim NAMAZ is best of all...preach people to start praying full namaz instead of wasting time in yoga.
