How Does The Bohra Priesthood Justify Their Own Ayyashi.

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

How does a religious leader justify his actions which are diametrically opposite to that of the founders and torchbearers of the religion ? The answer is........... Simply distort/fabricate history as per his personal agenda and/or attribute certain lies to the torchbearers in the present times by creating a false aura/an awe and make the followers believe it to be true.

When the bohra clergy shout at the top of their voice on the pulpit 24x7 by giving examples of Panjatan Pak's simple and austere life minus the pomp and glamour but when they themselves do not want to follow these examples but lead a totally opposite life then they need to provide some justification. When they want to make an ultra grand mausoleum for their leader which is more like the Taj Mahal built for a King and at the same time want to justify it by giving it the religious overtures then they construct a Gold Zari for the shrines of Panjatan Pak (a.s.). Needless to say that this itself is a highly lucrative business for them and the money collected for these schemes are enough to build 10 Raudat Taheras and 1000 Zaris.

Recently MS has embarked upon another scheme which is the "Ghilaf" for the shrine of Mola Ali (a.s.). Details of one of the most expensive Ghilaf ever made has been doing rounds on watsup which is as follows :-

Statistics of Molana Ali's Ghilaf :-

Cloth is 30 metre procured from Germany @ Rs.18,000/- per metre.

The Gold thread used (Kasab) weighs 15 kgs.

The grapes on the Ghilaf are made of 9.5 kgs, pure 24 carat Gold. There are 7.

Bismillahs on the Ghilaf studded with rare jewels, they are written by the following Dais:
1. Syedna Ali Shamsuddin (Yemen).
2. Syedna Idris Imamuddin (Yemen).
3. Syedna Ismail Badruddin (Mota Bawa - Jamnagar).
4. Syedna Dawood bin Ajabshah (Ahmedabad).
5. Syedna Abdeali Saifuddin (Surat).
6. Syedna Taher Saifuddin (Mumbai).
7. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (Mumbai).

The Ghilaf is inlaid with 1000 Maneks (Rubies) which are in unique princess cut and channel setting.

The Borders are decorated with Green and Red Akik grapes which weigh 10 kgs.

Inlaid are also 1200 Best Quality South Asia Pearls.
Emeralds inlaid are 216 pieces.
Total Rubies : 34,225 Nos.

On the 4 corners of Ghilaf are 4 crowns which weigh 26 kgs (Total) in Pure Gold and the inside fittings are of 9.5 kgs of pure Silver.

Mola Ali (a.s.) shunned richness and luxuries. He never ate a meal bellyful. His clothes were covered with patches and he repaired his own shoes. He fasted for most of the year and ate rough oates flour. All this even though when the revenues of Fadak were at his disposal (Fadak was an extremely large estate). The revenues of Fadak financed the early Jihad so one can imagine how big it was. Mola Ali (a.s.) was the proper embodiment of an Islamic leader who gave his own personal ring as charity while he was in ruku.

The tragedy is that we are all very much aware of these above facts but still we do not question the waste of money in creating the splendour around his tomb. A simple Ghilaf would have made no difference. The money spent on the Ghilaf alone could have helped fund education and jobs for the unfortunate. Mola Ali (a.s.) does not need gold and rubies to create such an awe, Firaun did that !! Mola Ali (a.s.) lived a humble life and it is his humility that has to be shown and not a false sense of luxury of gold and pearls that was lorded by the Ummayads.

In order to justify their palatial abodes and fleet of luxury cars it wont be surprising if in future they come up with Ahadiths saying that Mola Ali (a.s.) lived in a palace and had a fleet of horse carriages made from pure gold.

The bohra priesthood has been collecting Gold for almost 30/40 years from their slaves (abdes) for supposedly constructing a Zari to be covered on the shrine of Molatena Fatema tus Zehra (a.s.) and the quantity collected could be easily 2 tonnes or more. However it is a known fact that the wahabi government of Saudi Arabia will NEVER allow this to happen, how on earth can a government who is demolishing shrines and holy palaces left, right and centre could ever allow a tomb, leave aside a Gold Zari to be constructed ?? The gold collected in the name of these great souls will always remain in the dungeons of Saifee Mahal and divided between the zaadas who are constantly making designer jewelleries for their wives.

GM. - They would justify Ayyeshi as following in the footsteps of the Fatemid leaders, who apparently lived in palaces and enjoyed luxuries of fiefdom too. Remember our friend Aqs?

I was at the discotheque in Karachi Holiday Inn. It was during the time SMB came to Karachi for collections or whatever. His family had occupied most of the Hotel. The children were amused by the loud music that came from the discotheque room. Whenever the door opened I could see the faces of the children of the Family, who just couldn't get enough. Living in and out of masjid with no teachings or care taking parents the kid were on their own. I saw children signing dinning room bills to their room. I wasn't concerned for the children of the man who knows it all, sees all and talks to Imam without the help of modern day communications. Children looked so out of place with their stupid garb.
