The state of Bohras today

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

Bohras-Worst Mushrik, Nastiest then Qadianies

To
The Ulema, Intellectuals, Human Right Activists and Journalists

Sub: Dawoodi Bohras-Worst then Mushrik, Nastiest then Qadianies

For at least last 50 years, following blatant and sacrilegious acts have been imposed on and practiced by Dawoodi Bohra Clergy - not necessarily in any order:

1. Salwaat, which up till now recited on the prophet and his Ahl ul Bait are being recited on Tahir Saifuddin and Muhammed Burhanuddin. Kufr & Zulm

2. Two Rakaat Salaat, which is not offered even for Nabi, Imams and Ahl al Bait is now being prayed for Tahir Saifuddin, Muhammed Burhanuddin and Mufaddal Shai**nuddin

3. Matam on the Zikr of Tahir Saifuddin and Muhammed Burhanuddin.

4. Compulsory dress code of Saya for all Bohra males, to degrade the dress of Ulema. Compulsory colorful Surti Rida for all Bohra females. Promotion of the Surti culture.

5. Darees, coined for earning of mullas, by devil brain, Dr. Yusuf Najmuddin, the champion rascal and master mind Amir of Jamiatus Safiya. Continual source of income

6. Numerous mandatory Taxes. In past there was merely the nominal and almost voluntary Sabil and Sila Fitra, while at present ikram fund(for the luxury of so called Haramzada Royal Family), Haj fund (an imposed Bidat, introduced for the enjoyment of Mullas on the name of Haj), Establishment Fund(it is a pure Gunda tax, for the utilization of Aamil and his associates). The Dai said: "Khuda Wajebaat Ada Karnar Nay Ghanu Apay ....Ek Na Sitter (70) Apay ...Ek Na Hazar Apay Ghani Anay Ghani Barakat Apay..." I have heard this phrase many times from beggars. Except they do not use word 'Wajebaat'. Sydena (May Allah Guide him to Straight Path and forgive his habit of committing Shirk) is a high class Beggar. He grants Dua usually Tamay Ek Paisa Apsu Tu Khuda Lakh Apsay. Exploitation of Priest.

7. Issuance of dreaded E-Jamat identity cards like the government. Full Exploitation

8. ‘Al Vazaratus Saifya’, Bohra Administrative despotic rule by appointments of the paid local criminals, rather than the honorary local office bearers. Postings of the Qasre Aali/Baite Zaani, the Haraam Royal Family (Rescale family of the Dai) as Aamils and managing executives to the choicest Jamats around the world, rather than qualified. Treat the bastards Royal Family as superior blood lineage. Lavish and luxurious lifestyle of the so-called She-zadas and She-zadis on the hard earnings of the poor community members. Lifestyle of Muawiya and Yazid

9. Waqaf - Every Masjid, Markaz, hospital, musafirkhana or Jamat properties are on the name of Royal Satan Family Members. Renovation of all the Masjids and institutions round the year is a part of business. Demolishing of the good condition Masjids and other Heritage Buildings (just to remove the name plate of its builder) and re-building new structures with the name of the Holy Father Muhammed Burhanuddin or his puppy. Even UNESCO has condemned this ill practice by the Dawoodi Bohra clergy. Permanent Gold Mines

10. Imposed Lisane-Dawat: an adulterated Gujrati, and hate to talk in Urdu. Dawoodi Bohra clergy condemned Urdu speaking class and force them to talk in Gujrati. Policy of Lord Micaville

11. Name changing- 11 Haram She-zadas can change any child's or adult’s name (especially those names which are sound common Muslim to typical type name ,like Bharmal, Tarmal, Jiwanji, Jew, Ratan, without consulting the person or their parents at his own will. Method to rule over the fools

12. Impose compulsory permission of “Raza” from the clergy (Permission of Mulla) for everything that you do in your personal life, just to pocket the money. Even for sexual intercourse with wife, blind followers obtain the permission from Dai, She-zada/Aamil, as a token of sacred blessings/Barkat. Perpetual source of earning

13. Round the year get to gather with different names, to make busy the fools’ members of the community. Controlling policy

14. So called infallibility of the Dai. Tahir Saifuddin's claim that for all practical purposes the Dai is God on earth. See for References: Chanda Bhai Gulla Case, Burhanpur Dargah Case, reported by A.I.L.R. Shirk

15. Persuade people by several manners for Lavish Ziafat and huge Salam for Dai and his puppies, not in millions but in billions. Perpetual source of income

16. Waqaf - Every Masjid, Markaz, hospital, musafirkhana or Jamat properties are on the name of Royal Satan Family Members. Perpetual source of income

17. Minting money by selling Tabarrukat(pieces of stones, wood, Burhanuddin’s grave cover pieces to weak-faith people all over the world. Perpetual business

18.Religious feasts arranged by individuals or by collection, but Amil has to chant that "Syedna Na Ghar Nu Sau Izzan Chey" all people are invited on behalf of Syedna. Lavish feast – Run around the world to collect the money. Feast festivals on every occasion – at least 4 saltiest dishes and 4 sweet dishes, as it is the order of the Dai to do Fakhir feast. Zikre Husain on Dastar Khawn e Muawiyah, Rule over the Fools

19. Slave making custom of Misaq taken when one is not mature mentally. See some points:
If a person taking the oath breaks it, all his possessions, i.e. moveable, cash, housing, utensils, jewels, ornaments, carriages, horses, cattle, milking cows, she buffaloes, slaves- males and females and all worldly materials become unlawful for him. All his property is liable to be confiscated (and to be distributed among the members of the Royal Family /Baite Zaani, the sacred fuckers). When he takes the oath again and accepts all the terms of that covenant then his things become lawful to him and then only he is entitled to get his things back...say yes.

All the benefits which he had already enjoyed (from his possessions) becomes unlawful i.e. with a prospective effect unless he takes the oath afresh (the past enjoyments) do not become lawful. Say yes. All the slaves- males and females of the breaker of the oath become free and the defaulter loses all ownership over them until a fresh oath and he keeps faith with the covenant...say yes.

And if the breaker of the covenant has a wife that wife becomes forbidden to him. The breach of covenant has the effect of three divorces against the wife, irrevocable. The woman can never marry him again; neither can he take her as a wife. Say yes. If the breaker of the oath performs Haj thirty times with naked feet even then God shall not forgive him his sin (in breaking the covenant) nor shall God accept his Haj. But if he takes the oath again by the true Dai’s covenant, his master, then and then alone God shall accept his Haj, his prayers, fasts and other good deeds. ... Say yes.

And the breaker of the covenant accursed of God by that curse which was inflicted on Iblis, the Satan the effect of which was that paradise was lost to Satan and hell became his inheritance.

And the breaker of the covenant shall face God as Kafir and apostate after death. He is beyond redemption by the power of God. He will be thrown on his own soul and shall curse him and shall extend hell to him which hell is the worst of all places. There is no God but the Merciful and Benevolent. The Defaulter turns away his face from the worship of God and turns it to the worship of idols. All Kafirs worship idols and thus shall become attached to the idol and the grace of God shall destroy the breaker of the oath with rapidity and shall confine him to hell in which there is nothing but torture...say yes.” In past it was never intended to be binding for all time by Misaq. Why is the Kothar and their agents forbidding the public to use the translation, is it because they are trying to hide something? During the Misaq ceremony one is shown a piece of paper and you have to sign it, of course no time given to read it and one is not to ask any questions. Why? What are they hiding? You only hide something you done

20. Several innovation occurred in past 50 years among Bohras, which are more than Shirk.
Discrimination and isolation - towards another Muslim community – non Bohra cannot even step to Bohra Markaz or Masjid. Promotion of Sectarian Hatred

21. Families with girls are abiding with all rules and regulations, since they are worried about the girls and would like to get them married only to Bohra boys. For the sake of the girls they have to bear all the torture of the clergy. I say some of them, Allah is your protector. Even if the girl is married in a non Bohra family (like it is in so many cases around the world) as long as the girl is happy that should be your concern. A Bohra boy does not necessary mean a good boy. Our Prophet married Abubaker’s daughter Aysha and Umar’s daughter Hafsa,Umme habiba-sister of Muawiyah. Follow his Sunnat. Do not bear the atrocities of the clergy because you are afraid for daughter’s future. Trust Allah and if He has bestowed you a daughter then He will provide her companion. Have the faith in Allah not in the Mulla Dalla .Exploitation

22. Dai Mufaddal Shaitanuddin force to send Lanat on Umar, Abubakar and Usman. Promotion of Sectarian Hatred, lead to riots.

23. Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). In Bohra hospitals, clinics and set up this heinous crime has been practice. Every community girl is forced to remove her upper vagina portion. This crime has been done under top secrecy. Violation of Women Rights/Sexual Crimes

24.Wadhana/Arti has great importance in all ceremonies. Kurnish/Qadambosi,Namastey style of Salaam with folded two hands, in front of even a petty Mulla. Hindu Tradition.

25. Interference of Aamil/mulla in all personal matters of community member is routine. Prsecution among families. Exploitation by ghunda force of the “Burhani Guards”. Ghunda Raj

26. Installed Galla-treasury boxes in every Mazars in India and Yemen to pocket the billions of rupees for the higher clergy. Perpetual source of income. Spent millions of dollars in Ruzat Tahira, Bhindi Bazar. Destroy hard earned money of the community unnecessary. Self glorification of the holy father by the holy son

27. Properties and investments of Qasre Aali/Baite Zaani in abroad. The holy father and his thug family are vacationing in West and enjoying earning fat bucks, private jet riding, money making Ziyafats, sightseeing and the list can go on and on. For the past several years Holy Family(Dai’s Family) have invaded the Western World, Africa, Middle East and Far East for the obvious reason - to make easy money in these rich countries and same time they can get away from the legal problems and lawsuits etc. that have plagued them for many years in their native country of India. Exploitation and Corruption

28. Holy Father-Syedna has declared forbidden to read Quran's translation in English, urdu,Gujrati or any other language. Exploitation

29. Holy Father, Syedna sale the title of Shiekh to increase his wealth and control to lose character, notorious drunkard, rapist and so on. Any criminal, third grade person can get honour in Bohra Jamaat from the Dai to pay his demanded amount, which is 20 lakh to One carore Rs to get the position of Sheikh. Some 100 years ago this position was given to the Aalim and Muttaqi person only, without money. Today if “Hijra” pay the amount, Mufaddal grant him position of Sheikh. Degradation of the Ulama /literates

30. The team of Dai and his international Mafia are remaining busy in brain-washing the Bohra community for their own malicious interests. Exploitation and Corruption

31. Around the world, Bohra Clergy is collecting substantial amounts of money from their followers through various funds with new tactics. This exploitation of the public hard earnings is not for community welfare but it’s for Dai’s family. If they utilized public funds for community’s education, research, hospitals, or the creation of new jobs for everybody (not just for the select few) than it would make much more sense. Syedna and his punters are imposing unnecessary rules and regulations. They are mimicking a dictatorship type system in this 21st century. In turn, followers cannot ever question the accountability of monies collected and address any issues or suggestions without being ex-communicated from the Jamat. Exploitation and Corruption

32. At every event and after each Salaat in Masjid the Pesh Imam force to do Matam. This is wrong because Matam should only be set aside for the month of Moharram only. The Mullas do not have to preach much and spend the majority of the time sitting on a cushioned chair watching everybody else doing Matam. After hours of exhaustion, the Mullas are ready to fatten their pockets. If you haven't noticed, the Mullas are insisting that Sayedna should come to your city for Waaz in Moharram. This is another scheme to get your hard earned "mighty" finance. The Holy Shaitan Family is more eager to collect dollars than any other currency because his wealth can be increased at a much faster rate. Why should our money go to an investment without any return? In light of the above statements something must be done to change the corrupt system implemented by the Sayedna. We must all unite together and struggle for a major change against these "Blood Suckers" and save our community from their evil tactics. Why our community is centered so strongly around one goal- the collection of money? Insult of Matam and promote Phobia

33. Bohras are not part of Ummah at all. They are cult that uses the principles of Islam to make money. They quote Ali and Husain in their lectures and do Matam without any knowledge of the true meaning behind their actions. The Team of Shezadas and Mufaddal profits heavily on the name of Imam Husain. Did past Imams and dais make a business out of Islamic teachings and values? Insult of Matam and spread Phobia. Exploitation on the name of Husain

34. Corruption in the Bohra community has been prevalent for more than 60 years. It all began when late Dai Tahir Saifuddin was instilled with power. Once in power the atrocities gradually became the mainstream of our society. Mufadal Saifudin began to exploit the public by imposing ridiculous Fatwas, the Un-Islamic Misaq, attaining property from the public and transferring the title of the private property to his name, money making Ziyafats, exonerating people upon receiving huge sums of money, increasing the status of an individual with financial payments, or heavy taxation (Sabeel, Khumus). When Burhanuddin’s son Mufaddal became the so-called “Moula” he followed the footsteps of his father and increased the corruption to staggering “levels”. Mufaddal started the “dreaded” collection of money for every step of one’s personal life, name changing, and running to see him wherever he is during Moharram. Mufaddal Saifuddin is the sole person responsible for the development and implementation of his corrupt practices. The local Aamils, Bhaisahebs, and etc implement the orders dictated by Mufaddal. From every Bohra Jamaat (round the world) CEO of Mufaddal wants to see profits trickle into their massive bank accounts. Therefore, to ensure a constant flow of cash Dai puts Aamils, Sheiks, etc to manage the operation. Remember, they report to children of Mufaddal and inform of operations. This is simply a business of Mufaddal which he has created and enjoys reaping the profits. Islam never explicitly or implicitly mentions that it is acceptable for one to create a business in the name of Islam. If you don’t agree with the truth mentioned above then you are practicing the wrong religion. Ruling by international Mafia Net work

35. The Dai announce to grant the Qarzan Hasana fund is money collected from large amounts of contributions in the form Bhatta beside Salam, Zakat, and other imposed taxes the Kothar receives everyday from mindless Bohras. First of all, to even be eligible for money from Qarzan Hasana you have to be the “fanatic follower” of the Jamaat. Basically you have to lick their ass till your tongue turns brown. After struggling to get acknowledgment and awareness from the clergy that you are in the need of money a huge salaam will be required from the borrower. The salaam is similar to paying interest on a loan because it's money that you literally throw away in order to participate in a loan. And to make matters worse, you have to give them a substantial amount of collateral. Unwillingly, the priest class will assume that your collateral is a gift and your likelihood of receiving it back is slim to none. Finally, when your hopes begin to rise they will immediately sink down when they issue you funds for an insignificant amount. For people expecting 400,000 to 500,000 (the usual amount needed to start a small business nowadays), forget it. You’ll be lucky to receive even 20,000.What we object to is the non-accountability of these "Baitulmaal". One simple question: How does the Bohra Clergy maintain or sustain their lavish lifestyles around the world and world-wide travels. You may say that they are entitled to a stipend for serving the community. If they are entitled to such exorbitant stipends, how about the real Mullah and Sheikhs (graduates of the Jameia) who serve the flock throughout the world - I may add in the rural communities as opposed to the Bhaisahebs and She-zadas who "serve" in the urban and international cities. I recently went around India for Ziyarats and I saw with my own eyes how the real Mullas and Sheikhs live pathetically and poorly and serve the community in or around the villages and towns - especially looking after some Mazaars. You offer them a token salaam and they a thank you profusely and with such heartfelt gratification and Dua. Compare this to the Zaani Bhaisahebs and Harami She-zadas. They will demand hefty Salams even before they provide funeral service and then treat you like dirt - even with curses!! By the way, can you elaborate on "Allah keeps me from wrath for asking you to perform your Salaat.” Exploitation and Corruption

36. Mufaddal stresses to their "slaves" that it is forbidden to collect interest (Riba) by putting your money in an account that earns a financial reward. Well, I would like to know if Mufaddal Saifuddin “practices what he preaches” in regards to his personal finances? Where does he keep the billions of Dollars he has accumulated in the past several decades? Does he store his commodities in the form of cash in his palace or in Swiss Bank accounts earning high rates of interest and in addition, protection from the I.R.S.? Think about it for a minute. With the amount of financial resources at the fingertips of Mufaddal one can wonder about the broad range of investment opportunities available to him. I can undeniably imagine that banks come forward to Syedna begging him to store his enormous wealth in their accounts. Exploitation and Corruption

37. Majority of Bohra women are highly emotional and uneducated and, therefore, are prone to manipulation by Mulla. As a matter of fact because of these fanatic Bohra women, Mufaddal’s Business is booming at very staggering level. Also, mostly men in the Bohra community are very puny and act like sissies in front of Mufaddal and his family. They need to resist Khotar and must do concrete effort for the change. In order to combat the big "Lucifer" and his cabinet, there is no need to live in fear or intimidated by "thug" Shaitanuddin and Company. Ignorance of Bohra Community

38. Typical Bohra Wedding Card written in "Dawat Nee Zabaan" for Bohra slaves imposed by "Burhani Mafia" - It's so funny and it symbolizes Mufaddal Saifuddin as an idol or God that is in need of worship! The wedding cards 5 to 10 years ago were not written to praise Dai like a god. This card is so senseless and made even worse because it is written in "dumb" Gujrati, so called Dawat Nee Zaban. How dumb can the Bohras get by adopting this trash and forgetting the supremacy of Allah? Here it goes: “Syedna Duae Mustajab See Makhsus Chey. Har Majlis Mashhad Ma Dua Na Motiyo Nisar Farmavey Chey. Ye Dua Par Malaikat Amin Boley Chey. Khasatan Ehna Mazahir Zikra Na Khutba Ma Nazar Aaya, Ye Dua Ni Barakat Pehriyo lagan baki rehsay. Haqiqi nemat Hudat- kiraam chey. Ye Hudat Karaam ni zikar haqiqat ma Khuda ni zikar chey. Ye nemato ni zikar har haal ma wajib chey. Ye zikar shukar adaa karwa no bhalo zariya chey. Ehny hurmat si hamari daughter/son---- nee Shadee naseeb thaee chay. Ahma shareek thawa nu aap nay izan araz kariyay chay---Tey kabul farmavi libasul Anwar ma tashrif laavi mamnun kariye--- Every invitation cards/letter have to mentioned Mufaddal Saifuddin’s name and at the end one has to be mentioned as "Abde Syedna" and "Amte Syedna". Shirk---Ghunda Mafia Rule by force of Danda

39. Ashra of Moharram - its festival of joy for Mufaddal and his mafia Kothar - They run around all over the world to make the most money -Where is Mufaddal going to be this year? How insane can a 93 year old person be? He is still meandering all over the world to make fat bucks in the name of Imam Hussain. I know that the fanatical Bohris are willing to scurry about the Earth this Mohrarram in search of Mufaddal. No Muslim leader anywhere in the world makes such vulgar show of his personality as Mufaddal does, by stopping Waiz everywhere and compelling the followers to gather at just one place where he is delivering his sermons. Bohra shop owners are compelled to close down their shops, businessmen to suspend their business and students to miss their classes and exams for 9 days of Moharram and be present in the Masjids to hear Dai's discourses. Crores of rupees are spent on relaying his lackluster Waiz in Bohra-populace all over the world. Bohra men and women kneeling down on the road with folded hands, like a slave, on Dai's arrival and departure, at each time and all places. Dai’s establishment invited media and TV channels personnel with their cameras inside the mosques to cover the occasion and give it as much publicity as possible. The whole atmosphere in the Bohra locality was heavy with the cult and personality of Dai. No one, not even his representatives while sending press release ever talks about the tragedy of Karbala or Teachings of Islam. They only talk about the Burhanuddin, falsely claiming that he is most concerned for Muslims, for love, peace integrity and well-being of every individual in the world. The fact is that Mufaddal is not bothered even about the sufferings of his own followers. He and his establishment leave no occasion to exploit and squeeze money from his followers. Even for his Moharram sermons he charges amounts in crores of rupees as his Salam and then only he agrees to deliver his sermons at a place of his choice. Red carpets are rolled out all over the path for dai as if he were a monarch and not a religious leader. Yadgare Yazidi

40. As RSS (fundamentalist Hindu grassroots organization, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) camp the followers worship weapons like swords and trishool, Dawoodi Bohras worship Syedna and Mufaddal worships power and those who are in power. Why does Mufaddal Saifuddin constantly travel all over the world fervently collecting money from Bohra communities? Shouldn’t he take a break? Moula Money, Moula Money, Moula Money. How much money does “Lalchee” Mufaddal Saifuddin want to collect before he passes on? Isn't the current amount he has sufficient? Sky is the limit

41. As if it is a day of Eid, Bohra happily call the 10th Moharram as Ashara Mubarak and celebrate it with fine colorful dresses as "Women use colorful Ridas - in baby pink, pale green, baby blue, lavender - embroidered with intricate floral patterns, lavish food with chicken biryani, ice-cream and sweets. Why does Bohra Dai made the month of Muharram similar to a circus event where thousands of Bohras follow him around like sheep? Has there ever been a time when Mufaddal's repetitive lackluster lecture has bored you to the point of dozing off for a brief moment? Be honest now! Ah------------- Only power full name is Ya Husain----- Ya Husain, Mumineen Nee Jamaat--------Ah--------Ya Husain----------Ah—Bawajee Saheb Farmaway Chay Su Kaam Fikar Karu Cho, Mey Jannat Ma Laee Jaees.

42. How can Mufaddal Saifuddin claim he is a Dai when he doesn't exhibit any qualities of a Dai? Aren't genuine Dai's suppose to live a life without luxury, numerous quantity of material goods, and reaping a massive amount of money on almost every occasion of his life? Like Guru Rajnesh

43. Why has Syedna developed such a system where we must offer money every time to get permission, for burial purposes, marriage, naming ceremonies, new births, birthdays, and several other "rituals"? It wouldn't shock me if Syedna Mufaddal required us to ask him permission for each time we shit, pee, or engage in sexual activity and don't forget we would have to offer him Salam along the way.

How long Pigs of Qasr-e-Aali and bulldogs of Bait-e-Zaani will suck blood of Bohras???

Nice initiative ,

You forgot the greatest sin which they do please put this as first point:, the Daee asks people to prostrate to him, Sajda and its a full fledged sajda of Namaz. He has even surpassed Pharoah.

ALso ask devotees to do hindu rituals like joining hands and bowing down, aarti to the dai.

Bohras face Stockholm syndrome

#6

Unread post by shehzaada » Sat Apr 26, 2014 6:37 am

The Sydna\Daee \Kothar etc are the captors of docile bohra community and due to generations of captivity they just cannot help but associate with this fold of slavery. PSYCHOLOGY describes this irrational behaviour as Stockholm syndrome, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_syndrome) when Bani Israeli were enslaved by the Pharoah , inspite of all the Zulm they did he was always viewed in positive light and adored and worshipped by bani israelis, Moses was deemed to be an outcast even by the people whom he sought to free from bondage.

Note the Oslo syndrome is a corollary to Stockholm syndrome which applies to large group of people like dawoodi Bohras.

The solution of the problem is to change the environment of Bohras where they should not be in touch with their captors. Members brainstorm solutions to this syndrome

We require BIG revolt so that whole world comes to know about this satanic things till then nothing will happen. Just like Bhagat singh did in british court by which he was able to expose the british corrupt practise to the world and with the help of newspaper he was also successful to aware indian citizen

the e jammat card is a draconian method of making a notorious attempt to make certain one does not dance outside the ring of the clergy.

There cannot be a big revolt if majority as abdes like SMS and willingly practice the satanic practises.

if majority were against the oppression , by now there would be change.

we need to be prepared fort the worst that this community is unreformable....

I am considering options outside non-Bohra...

the question is , is the aggregate effort to try to reform Bohras less equal or greater than the effort to assimilate in a new society and community.

also after the effort where is success and satisfaction most likely?

The State of Bohras Today
Can be summed up by this Jalaluddin Rumi poem. (Mathnawi, VI, 831-845)

These spiritual windowshoppers,
Who idly ask, How much is that? Oh, I'm just looking
They handle a hundred items and put them down,
Shadows with no capital

What is spent is love and two eyes wet with weeping.
But these walk into a shop,
and their whole lives pass suddenly in that moment,
in that shop.

Where did you go? "Nowhere."
What did you have to eat? "Nothing much."

Even of you don't know what you want,
Buy something, to be part of the exchanging flow.

Start a huge, foolish project,

alam, Bohra spring:

I append below two conflicting lifelines; each one has its merit. Dispair, dispondency hopelessness, are all negative and must be abolished from our vocabulary.

Poet Hafees Jaunpuri writes:

Qaid me itna zamana ho gaya
Ab qafass bhi ashiana ho gaya
(We have lived so long in this cage
That even the cage seems a home, warm and kind)

Poet Mohamed Iqbal writes:

Is siraab-e-rango-o-bu ko gulistan samjha hai tu
Ah, ai nadaan qafass ko ashiana samjha hai tu
(This mirage of hue and scent is to you a garden true
You confuse the cage with nest, O, you silly fool)

See the difference:
SMS parading children with folded hand..

and
520 kindergarten children from 11 schools gathered in a mosque in Istanbul to pray in congregation wearing t-shirts written on it,
"The coolness of my eyes is in prayer."

most bohra kids will prefer to go to darees to eat halwaa puri then attending namaaz with jamaat.

kids are masoom they dont care halwa puri, main culprit are parents and their leaders.

poor state of community.

Perception of bohras are changing rapidly in outside world. From being a peaceful, humble community, it has become butt of jokes with its twisted fantasies now going public. Infact it’s the abdes who are making a fool of themselves. Every now and then there are processions in public honoring any tom dick and harry in such a way as if they are demi gods landed on earth. Shouting, yelling going crazy, expressing their emotions in public and running like maniacs. Muslims as well as non muslims now look in amusement how an abde and amte degrade themselves in public.

Had enough

Have been around here for sometime.
For last few months this forum is being used as battleground for or against SMS.
No complaints about as most DB's have this forum to espouse their point of view.
Does anyone think that SMS or SQ will change the Jammat you are attending.
Do not know SQ 's agenda but believe He is better for moving our community to this modern era.
However it all boils down to money and power.Unless local jamaat has autonomy and elected officials with accountability there will be no changes in common Bohra life
Sorry to see that many previous contributors have not participated in this dialogue .Contributions so for are for or against the protagonist .
No problem as have been listening for last 40 years and will do so.

prominent members went underground just shows they were self centered and they were looking for their own leadership, even after repeatedly asking to badri and other members no answers has been passed on.

prog chapter is over, now the dawoodi bohra them self has to do something, and take this struggle to higher level.

Glad that some are around...but lack of respect to Porous is not acceptable as a human being.Whatever his reasons are for not participating he does not deserve disrespect .So brother let's wait and see how it unfolds and likely SMS will control everything but that will leave me on periphery.

As a Reformist, the story unfolding is interesting to watch from afar with some bemusement and a whole load of skepticism that any real change is likely. Like my fellow Reformists, I am quite content with the life and community we have built for ourselves, with no one to fear or succumb to.

Why would we want to change our status quo? Call us selfish if you will. Forty years ago, when we were shut out from the mosque and disowned by close relatives, no one came to our rescue or to empathize with us. Why should we care now?

Previous contributors to the forum are silent, mostly because recent discussions are abusive, shallow or trivial from all sides of debate.

Kothar is making a mockery of its ownself on daily basis which is reflective enough. Moreover with information overload, all their activities are getting sufficient exposure.

i disagree with your perspective i feel like everything has a shelf life similarly there is a interest life for every writer on a particular forum, once that writer feels that he or she has delivered most of what was there in their mind a phase starts when all queries and their answers seems repetitions and ultimately the writer quits to participate actively.

Hello everyone. Been reading P..DB sometimes. Interesting to see how people think at least to see am not the odd one only. What I had expected of the succession confusion very much it is more of a power play. What makes educated fools is " not seeing is believing" Hikmat and ghaib has become like a day trading chart used by learned people & those pretending to be learned. You condition yourself to use rational thinking is such cases. I think we have had enough of these nonsense. Can someone emerge purely speaking about Allah Subahanahu and his messengers?? Guide people to spirituality and help change society to be more intellectual? Well I guess we have to do it by ourselves within. Almighty has created human with this great gift of knowledge and mind to think and see what this human has become of it.

I agree with comments , SKQ on the horizon the reformist need has been overshadowed. The word reformist drives away abdes . It is a fact...there is a stigma. Whether it is a successful propaganda by Kothar so be it. What is strange liberal Bohras are happy to say they are modern, not orthodox but will have difficulty ever admitting they are reformist.

The recent events has confirmed that Bohras do not want reforms ...those beings who were born as Bohras and want to practise Islam have to leave the community and either become Shia or Sunni. Bohra ism is an ideology which has roots from Islam but it really is not Islamic . It has traces of Islam . Bohras may feel good pretend they are Muslims , but this ideology does not attract anyone to it voluntarily who we're not born as Bohras. The only outsiders join it is through marriage . Trying to force it to be Islamic by defiance or rebellion is not feasible. This attempt has failed for centuries.

I am not being defeatist but reality is why bother trying to reform any further . That does not mean we stop using this site to blog comments and raise opinions . The discussions may slowly inform people that there is another perceptive , those who are used to listening to established propaganda . But again if we think we are reforming the society ...well the effort put in and the results are quite uneconomical.

Sure SKQ can try to succeed and if he does win the case it will be a miracle he has an uphill battle and then what...the future of the community looks fragmented and unpredictable ....I believe the Bohra community peaked during 52 and it is now trending downwards...in 50 years ...it is difficult to know whether we will progress, regress or just fall apart. In 50 years will tiffin , roti making , ziafats still be a big thing or there will be new ideas. There will be a mass of people who will remain slaves but the rest..the next generation could be very different ...there will be the iPhone type hip youth who love materials western lifestyle and then the orthodox...I only hope they will be tolerant of each other more than we were.

It's funny that all the johnnys-come-lately are eager to write off reformists. All these years when you all were suckling at the teats of the Kothar and whimpering helplessly when beaten and humiliated by it, it was we reformists who stood up for our rights and dignity. We challenged the tyrants and called their bluff. And as "bohri" aptly says, none of you then paid any attention or cared to see and understand who we were or what were our demands. In fact, the most of you newly enlightened ones were all too quick to call us muddais and munafiq and "baraatted" us at every whim of your masters.

What has changed since then? Nothing really, if you really ponder over it long enough. Khuzema Qutbuddin, the mazoon who was morally responsible of the plight of Bohras for the past 50 years, has suddenly become a knight in shining armour. This shows the gullibility of Bohras who are rooting for him. He is being seen as a liberal and a liberator. Well, he is not. Does anyone seriously think that he cares for ordinary Bohras or is having sleepless nights over their welfare? He maybe a decent man, but his decency has only helped him serve a tyrannical regime all these years. His silence is his acquiescence and culpability in what the Bohras have become today - a dai-worshipping cult controlled by a ruthless mafia, and Bohras are no more than hand-folding, back-bending, grovelling slaves who can't think and say beyond "su karsu". KQ is as much responsible as Muffadal and his mafia brothers for this state of affairs.

Now that KQ has staked a claim for Daiship - and promising some leniency - all the so-called educated people see a window of opportunity. They see an enlightened leader who can do something for them. This very attitude reveals their deep-seated dependence on a leader, a messiah to do something for them. Never having the courage or awareness to stand up for themselves, now all the bright ones are pinning their hopes on a man who for all practical purposes represents power and privilege. KQ is in this for his own selfish reasons. The claim to the secret nass may well be true, but is quite meaningless to Bohras, their lives and their daily struggles. If he becomes a dai do you think the system of ji-hazuri, sajda, wajebaat, ownership of Dawat properties will end? Do you think there will be accountability, and accounting for his personal wealth and businesses? He is a chip of the old block, and truth be told, nothing radical or enlightening can come from this "royal family" - it is morally and spiritually bankrupt.

The fight between Qutbuddin and Mufaddal is over ownership of Dawat properties and Bohra slaves. A typical royal fracas over power and loot. It does not and should not concern Bohras in general, and it does not concern reformsits in particular. Let these two cats sort out who the top-dog is. Getting the people to support one camp over other is ridiculous and makes nonsense of the Imam and his ilhaams. We must all watch the show and enjoy it, too. For it is not very often that a "royal family" that prided itself in its white purity washes its dirty linen in public. This same "royal family", including KQ, have been declaring baraat and splitting families all these years, and now it's their turn. Chacha-bhatija are at each others' throats. Khuda ke ghar dair hai andhair nahi. The court case only adds spice to the drama. Once again, like previous court cases, royal beans will be spilled and once again these royal grandees will be exposed for what they really are: hollow, flawed and greedy.

For us reformists it is hard to contain our glee over what has transpired. Tragic it maybe, but also supremely satisfying. And we find little of value to add to the ongoing discussion as most of it is focused on supporting one candidate over the other. Reformists demands are clear, and we would want those demands implemented for the whole community no matter who the dai is. Yes we are ready to support the candidate who can meet our demands - but the question is, is this the way a dai is going to be chosen or elected? Are people going to have a say in this? Is Imam out of the picture? Is nass gone the way of nass-bandi? A democratic election of a Dai would be a wonderful thing, and if that is the case then why restrict the field to these two tainted individuals, why not open the field to more capable, enlightened and educated candidates? Surely our community does not lack worthy and eminent people for the job.

If not, then we will wait until the Dai is cast. In the meantime everything else is just noise, gullible Bohras getting excited over nothing.

If Cardinals and/or Bishops from all over can gather to 'elect' a new pope who themselves are 'elected' why bohras cannot ahve this.

Each Jamat should 'elect' its own Amil (parameters and conditions may be set and agreed as 'constitution') and once contenders for Dai are known they should meet in Mumbai or Surat to 'elect' next Dai based on the manadate given to them by their local jamat members (A referendum should be held at each Jamat to elect the Dai who in turn be voted by Amil of that Jamat).
