Dawat policy regarding higher education among Dawoodi Bohras is practically discouraging. Pakistan is the best example. In Pakistan there is a conscious effort done by clergy and their touts (Jamat members) that younger generation does not divert their attention towards higher education as it is very dangerous in the production of slaves. Education will create problems in creation of brain wash. They harp on 'doing business' which ultimately means 'sit at a small shop' or 'do some unskilled work and call it your business'.
To show the authorities in Pakistan, Dawat grants small scholarship for their own schools to a few students and make false propaganda of generous contribution for education. This is simply making fool to the common class. Not a single institution is available which exclusively entertain each application for education, inside the country or abroad. What a cruelty.

No standardized School where Bohra poor children get quality education free without fees. Third grade Saifyah and Badri Schools are running in Karachi for lower class, even there fees charging and if it is not pay by students due to reasons, management cut the name of poor students. This is the contribution of our Dai for community’s education? For self glorification and Wah Wah and get honorary doctorate 52nd built genetic institute without planning in Karachi University. Without planning means how many community’s students take benefits from it? While other communities built institutes with prior planning to entertain their students on priority bases or for special quota. Shame on the bad luck of the Bohras.

Secondly if you see Bohra community in Karachi or in Rawalpindi/Islamabad, they are basically divided into two - Educated Class and Semi- or Non-Educated. Educated Class are not fanatic slaves and they are Bohras by name only, they rarely show up and take any active interest (they may be registered and paying Goonda Kothari taxes) - one can name some big families here. Education has improved their lives and they can better follow Islam. On the other hand, other class is in clutches of Kothar; some may be living and leading good life but most certainly they are far away from teachings of Islam. Most of them are living and leading a miserable life, and God forbid may live same life in hereafter. Jahannam is eternal abode for Mushrik.

Education is Key. Education will bring knowledge and some wisdom. Education enables you to open your eyes wide open. If slaves can only 'open their eyes’............. God will Inshahallah brighten their hearts and enlighten their minds.

Education is not the priority for the community, that is the reason they have been regressing over the years. Other communities have moved much forward from our community in education and the way they conduct and run their business.
The scholarship given to children are mostly for the community schools so the children once they graduate would still remain educated zombies with no mind of their own to think and act. They will always remain slaves to dawat because kothar sponsored their education.

Throwing education priority at the back by the community elders is the most fatal blow for the youngsters, when you see young boys wearing topis and worn out clothes sitting in kiosks and small shops its really depressing, how will this generation support their families, their lives would be only to wake up in the morning go to the market bring a bread and six eggs wear the same old worn out pant shirt and topi which has lost its color with repeated wash then go to the shop do some titbits in the afternoon eat food from faiz mawaid, then pass a boring day with smoke and dust in the night go to some darees or majlis kill the time avoid the family as they are unable to fullfill their demands at night sit with friends facing similar conditions, sleep with all the worries of paying school fees utility bills mawaid fund rents etc etc etc and with no hope of rescue fall asleep to face another tedious boring and colorless day................... no vacations no foreign trips no cars no rewards no promotions just a dull and heavy life to pass or to kill the time, is this life yes this is the kind of life that our youths are going through in most of the middle class and poor families of our community which constitutes about 80% of our population in the largest city of karachi, the educational institutions which are already there are commercialy run to generate profits and their standards are hopeless in respect to the international standards, scholarships are rarely given in most of the cases only consolations. honestly our community in karachi has transformed from SAETHIYA to KANGLAA. and in my opinion the only reason for this transformation is lack of education, if anybody from jamaat education dept in burhani mahal is reading my post in the name of Allah advise your policy makers to eat a golden egg everyday rather then cutting the chicken into two, spend some amount of money that you generate for educating deprived children of the community rather then just making education committee and counselling students with hollow plans.

@salaar- this is what dawat wants, they want us to remain impoverished, uneducated, bankrupt and depleted of everything that we have so we are dependent on them for food, shelter, medicine and their children's education. This way they would control and keep us in chained. This is how want us run our lives - taking advantage of our innocence.
The education scholarships that they provide are only for the children who have some contact with the Jamats in one form or another, those who are are not seen in masjids often or have short beards are excluded out or coerced into obeying clergy's commands if they want any scholarships for their children. Most of the them only sponsor to our own community run schools so in reality they are creating an army for themselves who will be prostrating in front of them all their lives.
