5 mangal in a month

Bohri whatsapp duniya is abuzz with the pehli raat Mubarak messages and few of them suggest to do sadaka as there are 5 mangal (Tuesday) in this month. Whats the basis of this? Is it plain superstition?

This 5 mangal thing is another superstitious belief just like mandvo baandhvo during marriage, writing chopdas on Diwali at an auspicious time given by the Dai like 2.52 am, 3.52 am etc which is now 2.53am and 3.53 am, then there is wadhavni rasam with coconut on birthdays etc etc. These rituals/customs originate from Hinduism and as Bohras are Hindu converts they have stuck to these rituals inspite of there being no such commands in the Holy Quran or Prophetic Hadiths.
