Just curious what is the significance of 17th raat washek ? Why not 15 ?

Of course 19, 21 and 23 is fine for washed although I cannot understand why people say 19 and 21 Mubarak ? ! I mean aap Kay maa baap ki barsi par Mubarak badi qabool Karo gay Kiya ?

Same way they say "Ashraa Mubarak" Imam Hussain and his family gave Shaadat and we say Ashra Mubarak so logic does not prevail amongst Bohras

Cause Hussain (ra) died to make life better for the Dai and his minions. Hence it is all Mubarak for them.

What is the history and importance of washik ? Does it come from Rasool Allah S.A.W 's or mola Ali's time ?

The word vashek comes from some Sanskrit word vaveshek or something which means new. It was considered as a new form of namaz therefore named vashek. It was introduced in the time of syedna Idrees Imaduddin Maula the 19th dai. Iam a little doubtful about the dai in whose period it started but most likely it was Syedna Idrees. This is a kind of nafil namaz to be performed on auspicious nights like 17th which is connected to Maulatena Fatima binte As ad the Ma sahiba of Maula Ali.

Kem ke aa missal ni daraz namaz pehle koi hati nahi, dhire dhire zaman na saathe aa namaz no naam short thatu gayu ane logo ene WASHEK si bulavta thaya.

Excerpts from Muqaddas Shehzada Muhammed ul Baqir BS Jamaluddin's bayan.
