Why blame the people involved. They were, after all only following the hadith!!

At least, the Yemeni court appears "enlightened". Though not quite. A girl under 15 could be married off by her parents, exactly what happened to Aisha, according to hadith.

Unfortunately, these people are not following the hadith. These are lies propagated by people who people in tripple horned goddesses appearing in their dreams.

Understanding hadith is not easy. You need to spend 17 years on the Himalayas before you can understand them and they need to be applied in the proper context and the context and circumstances in which they were applied need to be studied. A trip to the himalayas will also cure people of their filthy dreams!!

Just to clarify things, if I were a lawmaker, I would prohibit marriage of a girl younger than 18 and even then, only with the girl's consent. This age of consent may increase as the years go by, since people are getting more and more dumb every year.

If Yemenis had any sense, they would have annulled the marriage. By granting divorce, they accepted the marriage but fell foul of the rule that the girl should have reached puberty ubefore being handed over to her "husband" old enough to be her grandfather.

If it takes 17 years to understand hadith, how long does it take to understand Yusufali? O, never mind?

Yusufali is easy to understand. With the help of Yusufali, I have hammered many scholars of Arabic and have caused them to see tripple horned goddesses in their dreams!!
