What is this Forum IS NOT

#1

Unread post by SBM » Sun Jun 15, 2014 9:07 am

To all the members who are posting on this forum, let me remind once again what this forum is NOT
1- This forum is not for bashing and setting scores for personal vandetta
2- This forum is not to create fissures between Shia and Sunni
3- This forum is not to create political discourse between different school of Muslim Fiqh
4-This forum is not to use foul language which may be fashionable in your household
5-This forum is not SKQ mouth piece
6- This forum is not to demean the Bohra or Shia followers and their faith.
7- This forum is not the medium to issue Laanats on any one.
8-This forum is not to bash any Muslims regardless of their school of thoughts
8- This forum is not to help regress our sisters- mothers- daughters from education to Roti making machines
WHAT THIS FORUM IS
1- To expose corruption by Kothari Goons ( that includes SKQ camp as he and his family are part of that Saify Mahal Clan)
2- To bring to forefront the atrocities committed by ruling class whether it is SMS or SKQ
3- To have suppressed Bohras express their frutstration as they have no other medium to do so
4-To have civilized debate without using foul language
5-To respect opinions of everyone and can disagree in civilized manner
6- To respect our Sisters-Mothers-Daughters to have a say in the progress of our faith and their lives.
I hope this helps many who are here to destroy the credibility of this free Dawoodi Bohra forum
Disclaimer: I am not associated in any form or shape with this forum and just a supporter of RESPECTABLE freedom of speech which is lacking in organized Bohras

One addition to brother SBM 's post, please do not sensationalise any information that you may want to share here without providing solid evidence. If you are yourself not sure or seeking a clarification, you should indicate as such in your post.

Thanks.

Sensationalism is the bread and butter of most of the people posting on this board. You are setting a very difficult benchmark to aim.

This culture of sensationalism and mojizas and laanats comes from our thought leaders and ghaib na maliks. No wonder it is reflected in the behaviour of Bohras, orthodox or otherwise.

Final point :- This is a Dawoodi Bohra Forum and here is no place for anti bohra Wahabi's.

Admin,

Just a suggestion.

Most threads here almost always get deteriorated by extreme Sunni/ Shia debates and thereby lose substance.

If you are to encourage a healthy debate on Sunni/ Shia sects and also maintain the decorum of the forum, I suggest you either lock that particular topic or issue an open warning to the member before it goes off the tangent.

Of course, participation in a debate naturally requires one to be tolerant but then again, it needs to be defined how much is really too much.In a zest to prove a point, some members tend to forget that there are several women too who frequent the forum.Any post that is derogatory in nature needs to be deleted as soon as it is published , irrespective of wherever it is posted ( Islam Today or Reforms).

I do understand that such a concern has been brought to your attention earlier too. But the fact that it is still a concern tells us that not enough is being done in this regard. This is not to undermine your efforts but only to express that may be a bit more than usual needs to be done.

Thanks.

Ummal Bani,
Thank you for comment. It is true that shia/sunni argument tends to hijack every thread. We are trying our best to control it and have in fact restricted or eliminated many offenders from both sides. If you have noticed, the situation is much better than what it used to be. But yes, more work needs to be done, and we are at it. Thank you for your concern and support.

Thank you, Admin, really appreciate your support for this. I think this is a great - and only - forum for Bohras of all creeds to voice their opinions, concerns, and suggestions. Best of all, it's a wonderful way to support each other in a brotherly/sistely way. Kudos!

If one wants to present a piece in support of his/her ideology-whatever be it be true to the spirit of the debate:

Make points that you feel support your argument, with valid claims and facts quoted if possible.
Being a non official forum, even if you do not substantiate your arguments-its not a crime-but your article loses its weight-age.
And make arguments in a proper decorum following general ethics.
Topics of religion always attract people literally ranting, abusing and replying in sarcastic tones.

Also my personal belief, as a general public-if I listen to a speech that argues for its belief-merely by downgrading and tramping upon other's ideology-especially in terms of religion-However valid your argument maybe, I shall turn deaf from that point forward.

EVERY RELIGION TEACHES, OR SHOULD TEACH US TOLERANCE TOWARDS OTHER RELIGIONS.

It should also include bohra ideology. There is a glaring claim by different bohras and shias wherever applicable.

Aren’t the majority of non-bohras who do not know the hidden-imam through his appointed visible DAI are doomed to hell ? This visible DAI is also not allowed to spread the Imam’s awareness to save the non-bohra people who does not have remotest idea of what awaits their fate after death ! the ever-loving, full of mercy, shafeek, jalaluddin, compassionate visible DAI will only lead the bohra by blood who has paid their monetory dues to heaven happily singing all the way to bank on the road to heaven. While the billion and trillions of non-bohras are going to be banished in HELL for not knowing the Imam of their times.
