RAJKOT: Vishwa Hindu Parishad's (VHP) president Pravin Togadia sent temperatures soaring in Bhavnagar on Saturday evening with a hate speech that targeted Muslims for buying properties in Hindu areas.

At night, Togadia joined a group of VHP and Bajrang Dal members on a street protest outside a house purchased by a Muslim businessman near Meghani Circle. While saffron groups have been regularly organizing 'Ram Dhuns' and 'Ram Darbars' to thwart such deals, Togadia went a step further by asking the protesters to take complete control of the house and put a 'Bajrang Dal' board on it.

Togadia told the gathering that there were two ways to stop such deals. One is to pressurize the state government to bring in Disturbed Areas Act in Bhavnagar, which prevents inter-community sale of immovable property. The second is to take forcible possession of the house and fight a legal battle later which will go on for years.

He gave the Muslim occupant 48 hours to vacate the house. "If he does not relent, go with stones, tyres and tomatoes to his office. There is nothing wrong in it. Killers of Rajiv Gandhi have not been hanged ... there is nothing to fear and the case will go on," Togadia told the charged-up gathering.

"I have done it in the past and Muslims have lost both property and money," he said.

He also said that this election is the best time to pressurize political parties to ensure safety of Hindus. "Don't be reluctant to pressurize Congress or BJP for the sake of Hindus' safety," he said.

After the event was over, tension was palpable and police feared that the mob might attack the house. A team of policemen has been stationed outside the house to avert any trouble.

Apparently the Muslim businessman of this story is a Dawoodi bohra!!

The man is a dawoodi bohra who fears for his life in his own house in Gujarat, Ehsan Jaffri was also a dawoodi bohra whose hands and legs were chopped off and thrown in a pit of fire, his aged wife is fighting a lone battle against the most powerful man of India, scores of bohras suffered heavy monetary losses as their business establishments were burnt down, many bohras were even killed including a family who was traveling in a Tata Sumo. Now inspite of all this, is there any help from the Dai ? Is there a SINGLE word of protest ? It seems he would have acted only after his own female siblings were gangraped and trishuls pierced in their private parts, if their own pregnant females stomachs would have been ripped apart and the unborn baby thrown in fire, if petrol was gushed down the throat of their own 8/10 year old child and then lit up and the body exploded like a bomb...... Just like what happened to the innocent Muslims of Gujarat !!

New Delhi, April 21: Dr. Mohammad Manzoor Alam, General Secretary, All India Milli Council has written to Governor of Gujarat, Union Home Minister, Secretary, Central Cabinet Secretariat, Chief Justice of India, Chief of Indian Bar Council and others over threatening speech by Pravin Togadia in Bhavnagar on April 19 that clearly suggested use of violence if the Muslim owner did not vacate the house within 48 hours.

The following is the text of the letter.

Sir,

This is to draw your kind attention to the incendiary politics and posturing of Pravin Togadia in Bhavnagar on April 19. He collected a bunch of VHP and Bajrang Dal rabble rousers before a newly-purchased house of a Muslim in a Hindu locality.

He said Muslims must be forced out of Hindu area. He delivered a threatening speech that clearly suggested use of violence if the Muslim owner did not vacate the house within 48 hours.

He told the slogan-shouting menacing followers that he had in the past deprived Muslims of their property and their money, implying that the Muslim house-owner had to be simply forced out and denied compensation for this loss.

He said nothing would happen if they just force out the Muslim owner of the property and capture it because legal suits following such misappropriation drag on for years. He told his men to put a Bajrang Dal board on the house after capturing it.

Togadia told his men that if the property owner does not vacate it they should come back with stones, (burning) tyres and tomatoes to his office. “There is nothing wrong in it. Killers of Rajiv Gandhi have not been hanged. There is nothing to fear.”

He added, “I have done it in the past and Muslims have lost both property and money.”

He went on a long rant against Muslims, a speech full of hate.

A copy of the news item appeared in this respect in the Times of India is enclosed for your perusal.

We request you to kindly initiate moves to restrain him, save the intended victims and bring this demented, hate-crazed rabble-rouser to book.

I have worked with Tanvir Jafri at L&T Special Steels (SSHF) Hazira for 3 years and I know for a fact he is not bohra, and till last year his mom was still in AHD.

According to Murtuza Fakhruddin Lanewala (22) who travelled in an overcrowded, tempo truck several thousand adivasis assembled on both sides of the road and indulged in heavy stone-throwing while the vehicles inched towards Dahod. The convoy took 8 hours to reach Dahod situated at a distance of about 48 km. The DSP is reported to have fired several rounds in the air in order to clear the road, which had been blocked by the stone pelting adivasis. None of them seem to have suffered an injury. A 60-year-old man died when he was hit by the stones hurled at the tempo in which he was travelling. Five children aged between two and five died on the way due to suffocation.

•Murtuza’s tempo suffered a punctured wheel and stopped at Rayaniya village. Some attackers who had been pursuing them pounced upon them and murdered Murtuza’s grandfather, Tyabji alias Fakhruddin Sharafali Garbarwala, his maternal uncle Murtuza Tyabjibhai Garbarwala, maternal aunt Fatimaben and another relative Zenabben Burhanbhai Mulla Mithawala. The team heard rumours spoken in hushed tones about the humiliating end suffered by the two Bohra women mentioned above. The attackers are said to have dragged them to a mosque, gang raped them and burnt them alive with tires around their necks.

I heard all bohras are voting for Narendra Modi in the current elections. I talked to a few people and they said why shouldnt we vote for them..he is good for dawoodi bohras and Maula also supports him. I could do nothing but pity them on the miserable state of their minds. Sad state of affairs really!
