it is clearly stated in the bohri sahefa that praying the 14 rakats on the night of shabe barat is like going for haj twenty times. This being the case and belief why do the jamaat committee goondas of u.s. jamaats ask for money and sell units of 252 $ and more for the purpose of sending people to haj, karbala ziarat, syedna Tahir saifuddin ziarat etc.

It is also said that offering one time Namaz in Kabatullah is equivelent one lakh Namaz. That does not mean that after offering Namaz in Kabatullah you are exepted from offering Namaz for many more years.

point taken ,but point to consider ,the quran states one should go to haj from his own earnings and not on the handouts of others. It is not a do or die situation that one has to perform haj. If allah has given you the means , then by all means perform not once but as many times as you like.

Hajj is only mandatory if one can afford it and complying with certain other conditions.

Almighty Allah would appreciate very much if the money is collected NOW internationally and usefully spent on the Pakistani Flood Victims - NOT by KOTHAR or KOTHARIS (as they would not be accounted as usual) - but by credible international charitable organizations such as Red Cross or Oxfam etc. Even giving it to the Pakistani Government or to its charitable organizations will end in Prez Zardari's and his sycophants' pockets.

Service to humanity is service to Allah.
