It is obvious that the Syedna is very old and sooner rather than later will meet his maker. It is also clear that he has been either not been able to find a successor or is not in a position to name one.

The whole daawat e hadiyah now, has nothing to do with deen and has been converted into a money minting machine. Whoever inherits it will roll in money and his future generations too.

Looking at this scenario, a major fall out is expected on the demise of the present incumbent. His sons and other stakeholders will use all tools at their disposal, such as Saam, Daam, Dand and Bhed.

A lot of dirty linen will be washed in public and tools like blackmailing will be used freely, a lot many skeletons will tumble out of cupboards and Allah alone knows what else will come out of the churning.

Three or four factions will form and fight with each other till the bitter end. Everybody, the winner, the losers etc., will come out of the contest with a lot of mud sticking to them and their credibility in tatters.

Under the circumstances, what happens to the common taheri? It is bound to be a major shock to them.

In this situation, what alternatives will there be? Are the progressives, the thinkers and the prescient doing anything to prepare for the coming situation?

Let us be proactive and think through the situation.

Your post is good but does not represent the thoughts of the community and kothar. What I mean by that is both are used to each other. Before dying syedna will definitely name his successor. With his rubber stamp and using his death as a publicity stunt the new incumbent will get all the sympathy and support from the community. Remember one thing that his kith and kin by now know the game of dawat very well. There will be fights but they will be sorted out within the family inside closed doors. For outsiders it will still be the ruhani family with all the knowledge and noor. Ghanu jeevo will still continue for the next dai whoever he is...

This is more like a business organization. One CEO leaves another one takes over...

My predictions are that at the time of Burhanudddin's death bed, he will pronounce his successor. But if his death is a sudden jolt, then, there may be only two options:
1) as Smart mentioned that there will be chaos and factions within the Royal Family.
2) as Aareef mentioned, it will be sorted out within closed doors (but I believe not without a Royal DV).

The infighting has been going on for years together. There are reports from 2003. Which means that the issue is on boil for the last 6 years and the sad part is that the Syedna has been incapable of resolving it.

You seemed to have missed out deeni education. Rasulallah SAW, was a reformist in his time.

He struggled a lot against the establishment then, faced a lot of problems, and had to leave his own city for his convictions. His own people collected an army and attacked him.

It was because he was on the path of truth, that Allah was with him and eventually after a long struggle did he succeed.

The establishment at that time thought that they could crush him because they were in a majority.

So stop equating the Syedna with Rasulallah SAW. The facts are otherwise.
