Bohras In Makkah Arrested On Ashura.

It is reported that after the Ashura vayez, a posse of the 'Haya' police (Sharia Police) raided the bohra rubat, Mohammedi Makaan and arrested around 13 bohras for matam majlis and ulawful congregation as it is against Saudi laws for people to gather in groups of more then five. The Sharia police were keeping a close watch on the Bohra activities for almost 3 days and had planned to raid the premises on 9th Mohurrum i.e. the night of Ashura when the Mohammedi Makaan would be full to its capacity but they had got the dates wrong as they thought that bohras being shias, Ashura for them also falls on Thursday. Had they got the dates correct and had conducted the raid on Wednesday night then many more Bohras would have been arrested. It so happened that by the time the police reached the rubat, the majlis was over and only a few locals including the caretakers were present who ultimately got arrested.

with this action on part of the saudis, qatar and others will follow. although I doubt about kuwait. this year, u.a.e. ,u.k. u.s. and the west may not have allowed this moharram tamasha. I do not know how India allows its citizens to be ripped off by this so called religious order of muslims. yes I know "shia" do comes out on street, and they do pay heavy charge for it.

It is true that they raided the Mohammade Makan and arrested 13 people however they released the females and right now 7 person are detained and being questioned. There are two group in Makkah one is Arabic speaking and other is non arabs. The raid was on Arabic speaking group. I am trying to collect more information on the matter. However Rubat people and other bohras are tight lipped on the issue.

Reports are there that Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam centers are also on radar of CID. There was no Eid ul Adhah prayers in Jeddah this year due to this factor. Bohras in Jeddah arranging their programs in Rented places called Isterahaa ( Farms) on Madina road outskirt of Jeddah City.

The people going to majlis not in white dress and a simple majlis is not mocking but the lavish food, Celebration of nikah and collection of huge amount (of course for Ayyasi) just to use the the occasion is defiantly a mocking. by the way do you know that they are collecting lacks of thal amount @ 552/- per thal from every mumin even compulsory fro madresa student? This collection is huge compare to the expenses during the tamasa.
