Muslim leaders are not as clever as Bohra leaders - QJ BS. By attending Modi's swearing-in ceremony, he has done a great favor for our community.

The day before the election results, there was tension in Old Hyderabad as one community found their banner burnt and another found a burnt book. The police could not stem the ensuing riot so the army was brought in and promptly fired in the air, killing three fellows who had just popped out to see what the ruckus. After 3 days the curfew was lifted, the families of the dead were compensated, a joint committee set up to find out how firing in the air could anyone nearby. This of course had nothing to do with the results as was initially thought, Neither do I think the Gomitpur clash anything to do with Modi. The attack on the Indian embassy on the other hand had a specific intention of disrupting or even cancelling the swearing in ceremony.

The Gomtipur incident was the result of a clash between Hindus and Muslims during a wedding ceremony when the fight broke out on the issue of car parking. It is interesting to note that although vehicles were burnt and the incident could have taken an ugly turn but the police were extra prompt in restoring law and order, if only the police were as prompt during 2002 Mass genocide then the Genocide itself wouldn't have taken place. They didn't allow the situation to get out of control because their master was taking oath and this could have boomeranged badly on him.HirsuteGenuflector wrote:Neither do I think the Gomitpur clash anything to do with Modi.

Dear readers,
This is one incident that happened in Pune, sharing news on same below.
Was quite surprised to read a good number of communal and racist comments under the comments section of this news.
What the guy did was not right, agreed, but it was definitely not that intense in nature that they had to kill him.
They could have just prosecuted him under some section and given him a warning.
There are more heinous crimes than this that are reported in India each day, where the accused go scot-free, wonder why this guy "caught attention".
There is certainly a bad preconceived notion about muslims in India.
Techie beaten to death in Pune, 7 men of Hindu outfit held.
PUNE: A 28-year-old software professional was bludgeoned to death allegedly by seven persons with suspected links to a Hindu outfit near here, police said on Wednesday.
The murder of Shaikh Mohasin Sadiq, who hailed from Solapur and was a resident of Hadapsar, on Monday night sparked tension in the area, they said.
The trigger for the attack was apparently uploading of derogatory pictures of warrior king Shivaji and late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray on Facebook, which led to a protest bandh on Sunday.
Police have arrested seven persons in this regard under sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder) and 147 (rioting) of Indian Penal Code.
They are said to be linked to Hindu Rashtra Sena. Sadiq worked in the IT department of a textile firm in the city.
He was thrashed with sticks at Bankar Colony by the accused and succumbed to his injuries during treatment at a nearby hospital, police said.
Two other youths too had been attacked and injured in stone throwing at the same spot on the same night, according to police.
Police said the case was handed over to Crime Branch and they have appealed to citizens not to believe or spread rumours as the situation is peaceful.
Security has been beefed up in the area.
