Dawedaar Ni Kahani by Sh. Yusuf Ganjifrockwala

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

No I don't get your point at all TAHER MAKKA. I think you are sick and disgusting to ask a question such as the one you asked me knowing that I am a lady and that too on a public forum.

Since you posed this question to me I think you are quite comfortable talking to your family ladies in the same way! So please go home and ask your family ladies this question!

topiwala,

if you need any ideas on how to sell off your extremely slow moving stocks of extra large size topi's, then send me a pm. i have helped atleast 1/2 a dozen bohra sujni/masalla/ridha/saayakurta/tasbeeh/namazijodi/hafti/deeniqutub wala's sell-off their dead stocks of XXL topi's.

perhaps, you being in the business of selling topi's must have realised, that year-on-year bohras' head sizes are shrinking. this is expected, because scientifically it has been proved that when we dont make frequent use of any of our organs, they shrink and become redundant. bohras stopped using their brains about 60-70 years ago. since then their heads are shrinking. scientists and researchers are quite alarmed about this irreversible trend and lay the blame squarely at the feet of the bohra dai's. since their dai is a natiq e quran bohras dont need to learn the quran with tafseer and taawil, they dont need to travel to makka since their dai is haqiqi kaaba, they dont need to understand, comprehend or delve into esoteric ilm or the intricacies of deen as they are dished out everything out at sabaks, bayaans, majlises etc. all they need to do is attend with their ears plugged, do maatam which further deadens their brains and then eat labrez 2 kharaas, 2 mithaas jamans which blocks their arteries, creates diabetes, cardiac problems and even impotency. these factors are well known to cause shrinkage of brains and severely reduce cranium sizes.

well, i am here to help you unblock your valuable funds tied up in the XXL topi sizes. do not hesitate to reach out to me. please...

To provide a fair comment, I watched the video. It is no more than a few minutes.

Look at the language used in the video. Nasty, full of lannat etc. And exactly what point does this video make other than that this person knows how to use foul language? All he says is that they gave him Ziyafat many times and after he declared this claim as the manoos, he started cursing SKQ and his sons and that he wrote him this letter. Okay, so what is the point? Does nothing to suggest to me that SKQ is wrong. And the name of the website (dawedaar par lannat) leaves no doubt what they are trying to convey.

Such language, such video, and SMS not saying anything against it (and rememeber, all they have to say is once and all the abdes will remove these videos) makes me doubt SMS side's sincerity when they say: Don't say bad things about the other side.

Come on, all your folks are spreading this hate, and you are doing nothing to stop it; and you expect us to believe the above claim?

Asalaam'alykum members,

All i have to say is that please do not make any judgement or conclusions regarding SKQ saheb after watching these videos, this people are plotted by MS and Co to fool bohras emotionally, they were successful in doing that, Just see the height hypocrisy anything which is against them or disliked by them on websites like you tube they claim copy infringement and then very conveniently they promote such hate filled video messages on those same sites.
Handful of Bohras who speak against SKQ saheb cannot prove in court or reality that SKQ sahebs claim for successor ship is wrong, he can only be turned down if majority that means from 600000 bohras at least 50% of people speak against him than only the ratio will be fair and judgement can be made.

I agree with Brother Akhtiar Wahid. I don't know a single person from this group. What I mean by that is that they are not known as prominent Bohras or known in common society. Just another effort to mislead the community. The sad thing is that a lot of people actually buy in to this rubbish.

Hey Flat tyre ..why are you bringing in mothers of people in your arguments..what is wrong with you ..the issue is about the video and you go digging the past of AZ.

Another point talking about women's undies excites some abdes and feel very courageous and macho ? Disgusting.

Please voluntarily withdraw the comment or I will ask the Admin to delete it.

The old man in the video need to worry how he will explain this to his creator ...he has not much time to repent and ask for forgiveness

What is mind boggling SMS or his deputies have not tried to correct this old man ..but the tactic shows there is an audience for these crap..it is a shame to share a civilised community with them

Split in Bohra spiritual family
By: Ahmar Mustikhan
May 9, 2003

Las Vegas: A serious split has occurred in the ruling Dawoodi Bohra spiritual family in Mumbai over the highest offices in the Muslim sect, forcing some family members to flee to America.
The differences surfaced after some household members of the Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin were said to be sidelining the offices of the second and third highest priests of the faith, the ageing Syednas brothers.
The 92-year-old Syedna has so far not designated anyone as his successor.
The differences within the family, totally unrelated to reformist Asghar Ali Engineer, which had been simmering at the Syednas home Saifee Mahal at Malabar Hill were first made public on the Internet on the first day of Ramzan in November by a member of the Syednas family.

The site, http://www.zahirbatin.com, remained on the Net for nearly two months and received 9,000 hits. It was put up by the the American citizen grandson of one of the Syednas sisters.
Under police escort, the family had to flee their apartment in Mumbai, on the night of January 9 after three carloads of angry members of the otherwise peaceful community raided it thrice that day.
A complaint was filed with the Worli Police Station against the unknown raiders. The beleaguered family was chaperoned to safety by a top city industrialist, who is also a Bohra.

A pillar of the Dawoodi Bohras set of beliefs is the meesaq or covenant, according to which the Dai (chief summoner) or the Syedna, operates as the sole representative of the secluded Ismaili Imam, while he is assisted in carrying out this role by a first deputy called Mazoon and a second deputy called Mukasir.

The Dai, Mazoon and Mukasir are living proof of the presence of the Imam in seclusion as per Dawoodi Bohra faith. Not believing in one of them is not believing in any of them.
The now withdrawn website http://www.zahirbatin.com alleged that members of the Syednas family had been denying the offices of both the Mazoon and the Mukasir by saying they were in reality somebody else that the Zahir (visible) is different from the Batin (invisible).

However, in recent weeks both the Mazoon and the Mukasir have at large Dawoodi Bohra congregations that pertained to the life and martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain openly spoken against the fallacy of the Zahir-Batin concept.

The family member says he has tried to explain his position to the Syednas two sons in Mumbai, Shehzada Quaid Johar Bhaisaheb Ezzuddin and Shehzada Mufadal Bhaisaheb Saifuddin, who he said were unconvinced of the importance of the present Mazoon and Mukasir. What I simply did was to defend the Syedna himself and the basic covenants of the Dawoodi Bohra faith. It was not meant to insult or promote anyone.

Though camouflaged in theological terms, much of the ruling familys infighting appears to be connected to those who would have the final say in the multi-billion financial empire of the Dawoodi Bohra community, spanning several countries across the continents.

ARTICLE 2
Succession demystified

When we contacted the office of the Syedna for its response to the issue, we were told the Syedna, the Mazoon and the Mukasir were all out of the country and would not issue a response.
However, the Dawa-e-Hadiyah, the administrative office of the Syedna in Badri Mahal, said the succession was not a big issue in the community.
People are not worried that the Syedna has not named a successor. He can do it anytime. He is under no pressure to declare a successor. He has the final word on the issue. There could be groups opposing each other. But there is no rivalry for the post, said an official.

Traditionally, the person appointed as Mazoon is groomed to succeed the Syedna. For instance, the present Syedna was made Mazoon at the age of 19 when his father, who was 46 years old then, led the community.
But community members say it is not necessary that the Mazoon should automatically succeed the Syedna. If you look at the history of the Dawoodi Bohras, there have been instances where the Mazoon was not made the Sydena, says Quresh Raghid, an official in Badri Mahal.
The appointment to the highest post is not even hereditary and it need not be awarded to the eldest son of the incumbent Syedna. However, if the eldest son is found capable of leading the community, he is not debarred, which was the case with the present Sydena who succeeded his father, Syedna Taher Saifuddin, says another Bohra.

come on, bhai Zinger is correct. If you want to mock his video, say that: Disagree with his video (I did too), don't make fun of his surname.
