Eid-ul-FIKR Mubarak

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

Time has come again to wish a non-prosperous
Eid-ul-FIKR Mubarak to all the oppressed Kothari Bohris. And a Blessed Eid-ul-Mubarak to all the emancipated, enlightened and progressive Bohris.

For this year's form the category is as follows:
Zakat Ul Maal
Nazar Muqam
Khumus
Kuffarra
Minnat/Niyaaz
Najwa
Hadiyath Salaam Mazzon Sahib
Hadiyath Salaam Mukasir Sahib
Haqun Nafas
For Minnat to Syedna Tahir Saifuddin and Minnat to Syedna Burhanuddin from last year you are asked to put the money in an envelope and give it to AAMIL since they decided not to put on the form.

And for the sadaqah towards Aqua Moula’s good health in London, $94.00 per waajebaat.

An engineer died and ended up in Hell. He was not pleased with the level of comfort in Hell, and began to redesign and build improvements. After a while, they had toilets that flush, air conditioning, and escalators. Everyone grew very fond of him.
One day God called to Satan to mock him, "So, how's it going down there in Hell?"

Satan replied, "Hey, things are great. We've got air conditioning and flush toilets and escalators, and there's no telling what this engineer is going to come up with next."

God was surprised, "What? You've got an engineer? That's a mistake. He should never have gotten down there in the first place. Send him back up here."

"No way," replied Satan. "I like having an engineer, and I'm keeping him."

God threatened, "Send him back up here now or I'll sue!"

Satan laughed and answered, "Yeah, right. And just where are YOU going to get a lawyer?"

HAPPY EID MUBARAK

ANOTHER ONE BUT PROMISE NO MORE

Benifits of Being an Athiest

A very religious man lived right next door to an atheist. The religious man prayed every single day and night, spending much time at church, while the atheist never even thought of such acts.
However, the atheist's had a good life. An excellent, well-payed job, and a beautiful wife, lovely, healthy, children, whereas the religious man's job was stressful and his wages were low, his wife was getting fatter every day ,and his kids were obnoxious, and non loving.

So one day, while deep into his regular prayer, he looked towards heaven and asked, "Oh God, I honour you every day, I ask your advice for every problem and confess to you my every sin. Yet my neighbour, who doesn't even believe in you and certainly never prays, seems blessed with every happiness, while I go poor and suffer many an indignity. Why is this?"

A great voice bellowed out from above, "BECAUSE HE DOESN'T BOTHER ME ALL THE TIME!"

Moomin52,

Asghar Ali Engineer is not the "leader" of any 'reformist religion'.

He is a political pioneer in the reform movement amongst the dawoodi bohra community but in no way does he represent any spiritual authority.

Nobody amongst 'reformists' have referred to him as a religious leader. It is only the absent minded hard-core abde syedna's who call him this.

Get your facts straight.

Eid Mubarak to all - reformist or not!

The Bohras world over celebrate on the same (pre-determined) date. In London most but not all mosques are celebrating today; in North England Eid is tomoroow and I am told in Pakistan it will probably be tomorrow but could be Saturday. Can the (true) scholars and/or avid readers of the Traditions explain how this is particularly for the same geographical location? Surely something is wrong!

Aleem - you're right!!

He has never claimed spirital leadership of the group. However, bohras are so intuned to not being able to function without a leader that they cannot see how there can be a group without one (even if its not their own). If these folkes had the mindset to get their facts right we would all be one big happy community today. They're so brainwashed that they can't even tell when they're told to jump - they answer how high. Although in their defense I must say - they will first go and send an online ARZI - get a RAZA and then proceed!!
