Most of them (practically all) of them have paid to get the title.

Shiekh Yousuf Nadir was a molester, he was out of the system for a while, but again he was included. Years back a Jamia ustad molested an 11 years old girl, He was never ousted or punished. He is still in the system.

shiekh saifuddin kaleykhan was arrested smuggling gold, he said that he was smuggling gold for salami.

Shiekh ali asghar of adam masjid karachi was caught red handed stealing money, he was ousted.

Do you want to imply that the representatives of the Syedna will meet you and offer a title to save you from sins, if you are able to pay?

Doesn't the Syedna take efforts to save the souls of the poor who are misled? At least on my side, I have never seen this happen. Can you give the example of even one poor guy who was made Shaikh to save him from sins.

I can give you one example from my city, there are many more...but I guess one is sufficient.

There is a shaikh by name Burhan in bangalore, who screwed his typist and made her pregnant... He is well known to be a womanizer before he got this title.. and his affair with his own typist was also before he got his title.

As far as what I have seen... The notorious elements in the community are those who run behind titles... because they have everything to gain by it.. Not only does it cover up their shady past, it also gives them a clean chit to continue as a respectable person in the community.. plus it allows them to join the band-wagon in looting and terrorizing common folks.

In the past 5 years or so... many scams were unearthed in southern cities of India..like Chennai and bangalore... in the name of bachat yojnas, qarde hasana etc... beneficiaries being the aamil. jamat heads and shaikhs.

1.1 The form along with this cover sheet must be completed in clear legible writing and the names of
the applicant and guarantors should be written in block capitals. A photo of the applicant must be
pasted at the space provided above.
1.2 Sections 1, 2, 3 are to be completed fully in all respects.
1.3 In certain circumstances depending primarily on the quantum of the application and the status of
the guarantors, the trustees may at its discretion waive the requirement of completing this form in
its entirety. Applicants are advised to seek prior approval.
2.1 In accordance with the irshadat of Huzurala (tus) the applicant will need to offer security in the form
of jewellery relavent to the amount of the qardan hasana sought.
2.2 A detailed inventory of the jewellery should be provided. Where the total value is in excess of
Sterling pounds £1,000/-, valuation certificates must be produced.
2.3 Two guarantors acceptable to the trustees will be required in support of the application. A formal
personal guarantee form duly completed and signed by each guarantor should be submitted with
the application.
2.4 On approval of the application, guarantors will have to provide postdated cheques as additional
security. In the event of default of the monthly repayments, this security is enforceable without prior
notice.
3.1 Repayment must be made by post dated cheques issued by the applicant only.
3.2 Third party cheques will not be accepted.

I would not go by the form... In reality it is very difficult to get Qardhan Hasana from Kothar... Its like asking for honey from the bear or snatching sugar cane from the mouth of a mad elephant...

When this Burhan learnt about the pregnancy of the typist he went to the Amil and Amil advised him to do what ever should be by wearing Topy that is the reason Sayedna insists to wear topy.

I remember this incident was the talk of the time then. And as on today the Burhan has not forgotten the summersaults
