Hi BB:
You still don't know this old man's dirty tricks. He is nothing but a farce. He pretend himself as a profound Arabic scholar but he is just is money monger. Mr. Pious delivered speech in Arabic in Yemen (posted on the web sometime back). He was reading through papers, the extent was more Gujrati than Arabic rather he was delivering Arabic speech in Gujrati.
His late father at least had some contribution to educate Bohras. But the present regime is more interest in making money and self-proclamation.
Rise up now or ......

What do you mean by "delivering Arabic speech in Gujrati"? And again, please show us the link.
I've personally heard Syedna delivering a speech to a group of Yemeni bohras. I can't vouch for the perfectness of his Arabic but to claim that he cannot converse in Arabic in my opinion is misplaced criticism.

He is more fluent in Arabic than morons on this site. That is for sure.
But just curious? How did u know he was reading arabic from Gujrati script.. were you standing there??
Would you be able to distinguish between gujrati and arabic scripts or for that matter dawat ni zabaan?
The reform movement in itself is a big fallacy...
There is nothing reforming in this movement but rather more of the deforming type.
They are deforming the reformers and their likes into non-practicing muslims in every way....
First at least be muslims and then move towards your other intended goals... Have you read on the web, their latest itinerary for the UK conference..?? They start their day with Quran tilawat.. and end it with BOLLYWOOD type dance and masti running into the night.. Wow. that is real reform man.. from democracy to outright nastiks.
The women you see in their newsletter dont even look remotely muslims..
But of course that will happen and their next generation will not know what islam is..

By the way, just for your info, the arabs in the AGCC speak with a local Bedouin dialect which is much different from the Fasih (Pure) spoken arabic that is common to the arab world such as Egypt.Originally posted by BB:

Arabic spoken in the AGCC countries is full of slang.. Simply like the enligh spoken in ghettos in the US and normal english spoken by others..

I am sure many won't approve of music, dance, but then isnt Islam a progressive religion, where one has to change with times. I think the organisers should be congradulated in bringing new, and shall I say daring ways so that our youths don't feel isolated from the western life. Just because you dance, does not mean you are doing something unreligious.I think its better than visiting pubs before jamaan, as it happens often, and after some appatizers, they come back to masjit to wash their sins?

I hope you have checked this link and your silence is a proof that you are also shocked and your argument that arab speaks beidoun arabic is baseless and stupid.
Are you trying to say that Aqua Moula is fluent in arabic but not willing to answer shiekh in arabic?

These honorary doctorate degrees are worth as much as the patronge appointments in exchange for money for a Mulla or Sheikh title.(present cost of an honorary patronge Sheikh from Kothar starts from $ 93,000). They even accept instalment payments.

Though no fully authenticated, maybe you can pass this link to some of your 'REFORMIST" women.... but it wouldnt matter....as they do not actually belive in Islam..
Religion is just a convenience for you guys...
Regarding dancing and music.. well.. is your prerogative but how progressive you guys are. fantastic... amazing..Start the function with Quran Majeed and end with "BOLLYWOOD" styledance.. That talks a lot about where you are going....
People who see through you are already aware of the Fallacy and sham that is the reform movement. Most of you are just trying to get a free ride on this so-called reform movement..
U guys never were Bohra.. But got a great excuse for analternative lifestyle where yu can do anything.. You justify anything anti-islamic and say it is progressive.....
Regarding Music and dance, One saying of the Prophet Muhammad in Kitaabul Fitan which reads in translation: "The messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'A people of my Muslim community will drink wine, calling it by other than its real name. Merriment will be made for them through the playing of musical instruments and the singing of lady singers. Allah will cleave (cut open) the earth under them and turn others into apes and swine."
Rasullullah probably knew that munafeqeen like you will exist...
By the way, I dont know of any "MUMIN" who go to bar before or after masjid.. They are probably your kind - "Wolf in Shee[p's clothing" who try to stay within our folds but do everything that is unislamic......

Why you got pissed off?why are you diverting the "TOPIC"?
I think you are trying to neglect the original question because you do not have any proper answer for that.
well who the hell are you to judge who is muslim and who is not?Allah taa'la has not given this right to any one.
Brother if you have good answer for questions then you can go ahead and lets have a healthy argument on that topic but why are you trying to sled the mud on others by using foul language.Have some manners and talk something sense.
I am still not convenced that if aqua moula is "bolta quran"then why can't he understand the arabic (the language of Quran).

Re: why aqua mola needed an arabic translator when he came t
You know.. you all are a confused lot.
On one end you say you despise Aqa Maula TUS. On the other hand you say you believe he is your spiritual head(As per Reformer's stated policy). This is a total contradiction.
If he is your spiritual head, the way you talk about about him here doesnt show in any way that he is your spiritual head. On the other hand, you say you are Dawoodi Bohra. But the main tenet of Dawoodi Bohraism is that in additon to being Muslims, we are the 'Followers of Dai ul Mutlaq - Syedna Mohammed Buhranuddin Saheb TUS'.
Get your act together and at least be consistent in what you think...

I have replied the originalquestion above. If you dont like the explanation then it is not a prerogative.. Regarding healthy debate, there is none on this forum.. There is a lot of mud-slinging on done on our Dai and that cannot be tolereated. They had started off with Kothar and now these people have become so bold that they abuse our spiritual leader and that is unacceptable..
The likes of JINX and MOHD Husain do not believe in Debate. They are sworn enemies of Bohras and are fitnatis...They do not believe in debate.. They only believe in deface..
With the amount of malice and defamation going on on this site, dont be surprised if the website owners of this site are sued.
I have no problem in healthy debates but when you abuse our leader and our system then the healthy part of the debate disappears....
As I said if my replies stop, do understand that these "FREE" individuals have banned me from this forum...as has happened in the past.

I am also a dawoodi Bohra and following each and every rasm including safai ni chithi,Razaa,Saaya and many other things but frankly speaking i don't like to do them i am doing it forcibly.I have to do it because i don't want my parents to face BARAAT AND SALAAM BANDH etc etc.
I am not the only one but there are thousands of youth they don't like it but still they have to do it because of our religouse leader's inhuman behaviour.
there are hundreds of Issues in our community which have not been sorted out and they do not have proper answers for them.for example when one of my friend asked them why they take zakaat here and also in India where we have no source of income?they had no answer for that similarly there are many more questions which they do not answer and if you ask them they get angry and start insulting you and they have last weapon i.e. Moula no farmaan che .
so if mohd husain and zinx are trying to find out the problems in our system then i don't think there is anything wrong.we must know whats happening in our society.
In Kuwait ppl are living in club where 15-16 guys live together and they still have to pay a lot of money to our community and with that monthly collection of sabeel our Jannab saheb is living in a villa of 3000$ rent a month.Don't you think its wrong.Do you want me to list down the Issues? It will run in pages.
May Allah have Mercy on all of us … Ameen.

Re: why aqua mola needed an arabic translator when he came t
You are right, mumin110, the reformist are not disputing the dai, as a spiritual leader, but then is it not the duty of a leader to make sure that there is harmony in the community? There are always going to be people who will not be satisfied, but there is a more deep rooted problem in the community than that. In any family dispute, its the head of the family who takes the initiative and resolves them. If the leader cannot do this simple and obvious task, he should step aside. Anyway nowhere(as far as I know) in the reformist discussion has it been discussed to remove or replace the Dai. For your information, even Asgarali Engineer,I have heard, addressing the dai as "sayadna saheb".The reformist movement is not fighting for daiship for its leader, but for accountibility from kothar. They should not interfere in the daily life of individuals , but just guide us spiritually.

Is this true or just a hearsay?
Ofcourse I would not be surprised that its true, as it has been happening for the last 30-40 years, or more. This goes on to prove that this is a business and not a religion. If it is religion, than its only for the rich ones and after paying the amount, has bought a visa to haven. And the visa is being sold by HIS agent.

Re: why aqua mola needed an arabic translator when he came t
I studied Arabic for one year and I can vouch for the fact that Arabic dialects are not communicative. I had a Yemeni teacher who was somewhat of an expert of classical Arabic poetry and prose who admitted that if he didn't watch Egyptian TV and listen to Egyptian radio he would not understand their dialect. I speak Fusha, classical Arabic, but I do not understand Egyptians, Iraqis, Lebanese, etc. Although I am not Bohra any more it is incorrect to assume that because he required a translator therefore he can not speak Arabic.

Problem with you is that you are not a bohra and you do not attend the vaaz thats why you do not know whats happening in our community and so far as arabic is concerned i am in kuwait and routine communication over here is so easy that a person who comes here with no knowledge of arabic can talk to any one in arabic.so our argument is that our beloved moulana who is said to be scholar of arabic and said to be "speaking Quran"can not understand the basic arabic of local kuwaitis then how could he understand the Quran and guide us as per Quran.

Re: why aqua mola needed an arabic translator when he came t
Sajid,
mentioned about the “accent”, which was no way near Arabic accent (sorry I misspeld in my last post). I never mentioned, Sydena was delivering Arabic speech reading through Gujrati script.
Syedna has a Gujarati accent when he speaks in Arabic? What kind of accent do you expect him to have? Chinese? Ayatollah Sistani has a Persian accent when he speaks Arabic. That doesn't prevent him from being a spiritual leader to mainly Arabic-speaking Shias.
When we talk about Ulema-e-Karam, we expect that their grasp on Arabic knowledge is superior than commoner Muslims as they study the language over the period of time through most learned teachers and scholars.
Unfortunately your problem with "accent" has little to do with the above. The Arabic knowledge you are talking about is classical Arabic, in order to understand the language of the Quran and early texts, not modern Arabic or local dialects.
When we talk about Sydena, he holds several Ph.D. degrees from different universities including one from Al-Azher (per my knowledge).
Syedna does not hold PhDs - he holds honorary doctorates, which as the term implies, are honorary degrees not academic.
====================
BB,
Being a Bohra or non-Bohra is irrelevant with regards to Shayba's point regarding the differences in Arabic dialects and between modern and classical Arabic.
====================
Towards the end of this clip, Syedna can be clearly seen talking to a Kuwaiti minister without any translator near him:

Forget the arabic - the bhaisahebs are doing what they do best - eating and going for the food and what is the female doing there without rida?
Re: why aqua mola needed an arabic translator when he came t
Brother Muslim
Can you hear the Conversation?Answer is "NO".
For your Information some of Kuwaitis can speak better Urdu than what we can speak.
Since i was in kuwait when aqua mola visited i know that the Translator was there with him whenever he happened to see any kuwaiti.
Brother Observer forget about the Rida look at the way they are eating with "SPOON AND FORK".Why didn'they ask them to arrange for "THAAL".Can't they eat with five fingures?which they think is necessary and they are the one who want us to eat in that manner.
In one of the clip i saw that the beard guy standing behind Bhaisahebs is trying to get involved with that female which apparently look like unnecessarily.
Brother Muslim there is nothing wrong to point out the shortcomings even if its within some one whom you loved more than anything.

You are making silly excuses now. It is unlikely in a luncheon hosted by a Kuwaiti minister that they all speak Urdu. Unless you can come back with something solid, your arguments are hot air.
