Yemen and Bohras

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

Yemen and Bohras

Now USA and some of the Western Countries have declared Yemen for special treatment, I wonder how does Kothar's thinking will change asking Bohras to go to Yemen during Hajj season. How about this scenario, a pakistani born USA Citizen Bohra going to Saudi for Umrah and then Yemen and returning to USA . I wonder how that will play out in security at USA airport...........
Any thoughts and please NO USA BASHING......

Perhaps this may not address the issues for US citizens but my family is in dilemma about visit to Yemen. As Canadians, on return we may not have many repercussions compared to US citizens. We (Canadians) probably have to forgo easy border crossing to US,if we have Yemeni Visas.
Talked to travel agent and it appears that many Bohras on returning from Mumbai were able to travel safely to Yemen and back to Canada without any problems.Family members who are in Yemen for last 2 to 3 weeks do not notice any concerns about their safety.
We have not decided regarding the trip to Yemen but wait over next couple of weeks before making final decisions.

Oma is right, I have a friend, who is canadian went to saudi arabia(not for hajj) but for personal reasons, he is denied entry into usa three times. He is a bohra. Though it is pathetic, but well this is how it is. Bohra administration should really think about ordinary bohra's inconvienience too, and should not be too selfish. It is high time that this administration heed to current days need.
I would strongly suggest people who want to travel to these countries, they should take into consideration all aspects, and if not neccessary avoid it. God is omni present he can listen to in northern hemisphere as well as in yemen or saudi arabia.
One more intresting thing to add, A yemeni (who was a bohra but abondoned bohrasim when present administration in late sixties and early seventies went on rampage to claim what was not there) told some one that the place where masoleoum of syedna hatim is, on which we have spent millions of dollars, there is no authentic historical evidence that it was actually the grave of syedna hatim.

Anyone who wishes to come to the US should consider that soon this entire country is going to become one big Guantanamo Bay. You can't enter without getting into trouble and you can't leave without getting into a lot of trouble. You will have rights like they say prisoners do in Guantanamo. People like Oma are already scared.

What the hell are you doing in USA? Go back where ever you are from. I am not scared but not coward or unfaithful like you. USA has given me more opportunity and I am thankful for that.
I am on different boards including CAIR which is on the forefront of fighting for the rights of Muslim in America
Muslims have more rights in USA and Canada then they have in Pakistan or Saudi or any other so called Islamic Countries where if speak against the govt. you get vanished In USA atleast you have a prison where you have a chance to be released one day unlike countries you boast about where you just get hanged or shot to death.
SO GET LOST

So is the case of Hz Ali. His son buried in unmarked grave in desert. Only god knows true grave.

and then you say.
Muslims have more rights in USA and Canada
If they have more rights then what the heck are you doing on those boards and what rights are you fighting for? Get the heck out of them. Go join a board fighting for muslim rights in Saudi or Pakistan. And stop fooling yourself and others.

Anyone who works hard and has the mercy of Allah can earn their living wherever they want to. My rizq brought me here and so I am over here. Don't talk like the fart. Someone might've done a favor for you by bringing you to the US. No one did any favors for me and I don't have to be graterful to anybody but Allah.

Answer is in your own statement. Sects like yours have honest wrong belief.

When you say, Mola Ali (a.s.) son buried him it means his sons knows the grave location.

Your Sunni sects have this honest wrong belief that only God know true grave. You honestly believe this wrong belief because you are told likewise by your sect leaders.

The proof that this belief of your sect is wrong is present in your own statement – Mola Ali (a.s.) son buried him. Which unambiguously means besides God Mola Ali (a.s.) son also knew grave address!

Hence, your Sunni sect belief that only God knows Mola Ali (a.s.) grave is proven wrong.

I don't have to be graterful to anybody but Allah.
SO GO BACK TO THE COUNTRY WHERE YOU CAME FROM AND BE THANKFUL THERE, WHY ALLAH DID NOT PROVIDE YOU THE RIZQ THAT YOU HAD TO COME TO A KAFIR COUNTRY.
By berating a country which provided you the opportunity, you are also un-thankful to ALLAH who brought you here for a purpose and I hope that purpose was not to destroy this country with your Idiotic and Moronic thinking

PLEASE DON'T TALK LIKE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL KIDS. A COUNTRY IS ONLY MADE UP OF PEOPLE. YOU CAN'T BERATE A COUNTRY. ONLY THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE WHAT IT IS. SO YOU BE THANKFUL, AND I WILL TRY TO POINT OUT THE PROBLEMS WITH IT. GO AND DO QADAMBOSI TO AMERICA. WHY ALLAH BROUGHT ME IS ONLY KNOWN TO HIM. WHAT I KNOW IS THAT IF I WASN'T HERE I WOULDN'T BE DEALING WITH PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND FART. AND I LIKE THAT.

ALLAH CHOSE YOU TO FIGHT FOR THE RIGHT OF MUSLIMS AND LIKE AN IDIOT YOU ARE FIGHTING FOR THEIR RIGHTS IN AMERICA WHERE THEY DON'T NEED YOU. THEY HAVE RIGHTS (AS PER YOUR OWN ACCOUNT). PLEASE, GO TO PAKISTAN AND FIGHT FOR THEIR RIGHTS OVER THERE. WE MUSLIMS IN AMERICA DON'T NEED YOU.

What a mockery!

Is this forum supposed to a pro US/ anti US discussion forum?

Ms. Omabharti, you claim to be on CAIR and other boards, and look at how you are talking and squabbling like a kid. This is how you are fighting for muslims' rights in the states?

Grow up!

And to answer your initial question..

This Yemen incident shall not have any effect on kothar or anyone else wishing to pursue hajj.
Firstly, Asians will have no trouble in spite of travelling to Yemen.

Secondly, if you are little aware of the dawoodi bohra system, you should know that these days there is an option to complete hajj without travelling to Yemen. So there should be no problem for anyone wishing to go for the pilgrimage.
