Mab`as Roza craziness

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

Mab`as Roza craziness

every year Kids start their first roza on Mab`as day or Moti sawalakh day, year by year the competition to have the kid do their first Roza at early age is increasing. Now to find a 1-2 month old kid do roza is not unique. Have parents gone crazy or they have completely lost their mind to put their kid to such hardship. I met a couple of parents who were boasting how they made their 2 month old boy do the fasting, they told in detail how their kid was crying all day and taking out his tongue as if to ask for milk or water. I was blank at their stupidity and they were reveling in the limelight.

Basic question: Who gets the sawab for this madness.

Kid: who is suppose to be sinless till he is matured or of Misaq OR
Parents: who endured the so called hardship.

In previous years the minimum age of first Roza used to hover around 4-5 years which is going down drastically every year and somewhere Jamats are responsible for organizing awards to be given to the youngest kid among all the rozdar kids.

Concerned people should stop this before a mishap happens and a kid loses his life because his parents wanted to bask in the limelight

Feeling like give a tight slap to such idiots. Just Imagine the helplessness and thirst of 2 month old baby. :(

Rightly said. Now a days more of like matter of pride amongst bohras that falaana child completed the fast, he/she is just 2 yr old, 1 yr old, 6 month old. and matter of shame if your child is bit elder and has not yet.

Next time you see one of your relatives do this to their infant child, report it to authority.

Here in USA they will loose custody of infant in a split second.

to do this to infant is nuts.

Why is Kothar silent on this?

This is a competative world and bohras are only competing with one another to be one up. Its like the famous Surf ad, "Bhala uski kameez meri kameez se safed kyu ?"
