Pandit Bhimsen Joshi made various public appearances for more then 2 hours and sang excellent classical songs at the age of 85 and was honoured with a padma bhushan award by the president of India. He was known for his excessive drinking habits and would give his best only after downing pegs of whiskey. This was the greatest sign of his drinking powers.

"He did lot of dua for the mumineen and becaz of his dua we are seeing a lot of wealth and prosperity in Dawat"

So you agree that the most important achievement of a Muslim and a Muslim's ultimate goal in life should be "lot of wealth",
there is no place for any deeds in "aakhirat" and hence this dua. Excellent followers... "Do in Rome what the Romans do" i.e. worship wealth and "Live like Mohammed Burhanudin (luxurous life in palace) and Die like Taher Saifudin (surrounded by precious stones, gold and chandeliers)"

"Even one glimpse of Moula makes all the mumineen comfortable and feel proud becaz of which we feel confident in every walk of life and prosper, bacaz of which there is peace in our family and community at large....Although this might sound funny to few but there are 1.5million people around the globe who is benefitted

One glimpse of the elephant god or the monkey god makes all the hindus comfortable and proud so does it mean that they are right in worshipping them ?

Scores of hindus, parsis, christians and jews are hundred times more prosperous then bohras and so are scores of bohras living in mumbra and slums of mumbai and various parts of India who live below poverty line, why is his dua not working on them and why doesnt the wajebat and qarzan hasanah money reach them ? In your own words your claims do sound funny because only the selected few are benefitting and the biggest beneficiary is Burhanudin saab himself and his family who enjoy an extravagant lifestyle.

bhimsen joshi drinking and singing at 85 being compared to syednas sermons at 98 is preposterous and smacks of petty antagonism

well syedna lives a life of luxury-so did the fatemid imams of egypt-anything wrong in that?

Nothing wrong in living a luxurious life.. Its an individual's wish, but living a luxurious life by fooling people and amassing wealth in the name of religion is definitely wrong.

So what is wrong, Imam Ali and Imam Hussain lived in Shack, Prophet Mohammed (SAW) who was a and is a leader of much larger population lived in shack and did not use community's money. Imam Ali never received salary from Bait Ul Maal even though he was entitled.
SO IF YOU AND ALL THE ABDES AND SYEDNA AND HIS GOON SHEZADAS CALLS THEMSELVES THE SHIAAT OF ALI THEN THEY SHOULD FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE OF LIKE THEY SAY" LIVE LIKE ALI AND DIE LIKE HUSSAIN"

East African, Say this exact thing to your dummy Moula- you know.... the hypocrite one who doesn't follow Ali and Husain's shariat, the one who flatters himself with spectacles, parades, prostration, and Hindu rituals - while professing to be a standard bearer of Islam. I'm sure that you'll recognize him from the pomp and circumstance he surrounds himself with.

Saifuddin,

And you live a life of a pauper ? , interesting

Why don't you aim to be a leader and than refuse all the pomp which goes with it, it does not happen in real life, sometimes its the circumtances which forces a leader to follow the requirements

I do not take Wajebaats, Ziyafats and Najwas from other, I work hard and from my earning I choose to live the life I like
Neither do I give Vaez and tell people to live like ALI AND DIE LIKE HUSSAIN as done by your Shazaadas and Syedna
SO YOU COMPARING ME WITH SYEDNA OR IMAM ALI LIVING IS RIDICULOUSLY STUPID.

Well, It does happen in real life, yes DALAI LAMA does refuse all the pomp and he lives a simple life. He has more followers then Syedna and DALAI LAMA has been received by more democratically elected Heads of the States in the world while Syenda is received by DICTATORIAL AND CORRUPT heads of states and their surrogates in the world.

IT SEEMS LIKE YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM A FOOT IN THE MOUTH DISEASE.AND THIS IS NOT GAALI OR GALUCH, IT IS JUST A CONCERN. YOU NEED TO SEE A PSYCHIATRIST, OF COURSE WITH RAZA FROM KOTHAR DONOT ASK SYEDNA TO DO DUA FOR YOU SINCE HE IS ASKING ALL THE MUMINEEN TO DO DUA FOR HIS OWN HEALTH, SEEMS LIKE HIS DUAS ARE NOT REACHING TO THE RIGHT AUTHORITY.

Ur comparison is stupid which obvisouly speaks out ur True mentality as a Bohra and muslim at large....we r here talking of spritual leaders and not the folk singers...i doubt u r a muslim either as u r more close to pandit bhimsen and his whiskey....and u much better know the power of whiskey

Stop living in the fantasy world created by Kothar, Be real. There is nothing like Dua and Karam, Its all nonsense and rubbish fed into followers like yourself.

If your Syedna really has magical powers, then ask him to eradicate poverty, sufferings, wars, terrorism and all other evils from the face of this planet, Can he do that?

A person who is spiritual never claims to perform miracles, He is in tone with reality and therefore co-exists. More importantly, a spiritual person never claims to be one, simply because he does not know.

Poverty, sufferings, war and all other evils have their roots in superstitions, ego and religion reinforces that superstition. It creates an escape route for people who do not want to face reality and therefore one ends up in a mess.

Why is Allah suffering from this complex? I mean, why does he always need people to remember him? He is more like a human, who always needs to be remembered for his good deeds, power and greatness., Which means he has a strong ego!

Hi Guys,

Bohraism has NOTHING to do with Islam ..... for whatever Islam stands for or is, as a Religion, right or wrong.

For that matter Bohraism cannot be compared to any religion, simply because it is NOT a religion, it is just a CULT.

Bohraism is the worst kind of Human and Grave worshipping cult, who also worship Wealth, Money and Power. As simple as that.

PLEASE DO NOT compare Prophet, Ali or Hussain with any of Bohra Dais or their life with Burhan as this is a great Dis-service to those Great Men who lived the life they preached, and died for what they believed..!!

Burhan is 98 today - today he will be 99, 100, 110, 120 ..... so WHAT??!!!! So what if another fat, arrogant, corrupt, devilish so-called Shahzada comes to power ..... for how long ..??? Revolution is bound to come, and it will come, soon, from within..!!!!

If God (for whatever He is) did not let Great Men live for ever, for if He did not give immortality to Great Villans, Burhan Kis Khayet Kee Moolee Hay .......

As an Urdu saying goes - Khuda Nay Shaytan Ki Rasee Daraz Ke Huvee Hay .....

Bro Mutmaeen/AMZ,

I knew that my statement on Bhimsen Joshi would antagonize youll which is because you have not understood the context in which I said so. The gullible bohras are so obssesed with the voice of Burhanudin saab at the age of 98 that they think that it is something unique and probably deserves a place in the guinness book of world records. What they fail to realise is that there are scores of old people in this world who have been blessed by Allah swt with melodious voice like Lata Mangeshkar who at 80 plus years of age is still called 'the nightingale of India'. So there is nothing great in maintaining a vocal system if you have billions of rupees at your disposal which can easily take care of it. Moreover, the most important asset of any leader is his voice/speech because a leader cant make any impression on his followers if his voice is distorted. Imagine any leader being DUMB and being able to maintain a vice like grip on his followers.

A film actor's asset is his look and physique, a wrestler's asset is his tough body and in the absence of that they are worthless and so they spend a chunk of their money towards taking care of it. Similarly, Burhanudin saab's asset is his voice without which he loses his grip over his followers easily. Hence it is of utmost importance for him to take care of his main asset or else how will money flow in his coffers ?

ur sheer antagonism of syedna makes u feel that his voice at 98 is nothing great-many an elderly too have such a voice quality

the respect for syedna that we have make us feel that at 98 to have such a voice quality is great-no bohra has said that its just the syedna and syedna alone who can have that sort of a voice quality at 98

and to say that bohras are obsessed with syednas voice and want it in guiness book is delibarate twisting of facts to bring out pent up animosity

syedna has a lovely voice quality at his age-period

who cares if the Syedna has an excellent voice at this age....wouldnt it have been better for him to rest and not excercise his efforts on one more vais instead... seriously what did you guyz get from watching that vais? TELL ME. probably more dua for the "momineen" which is good enough if genuine, and some more matam and praises for the syedna. What else? ppl came to know that the syedna is in ok health now which could have been done in other ways and probably the people now think that they are more closer to going to heaven cuz they came to watch the ailing dai of the Imams. the ones who didnt go by choice will be considered anti-mumineen and sufferring from a priority disorder.

Syedna has nothing to do with spirituality, It isn't his cup of tea! If his followers think otherwise, It is because they themselves do not know what it is to be spiritual.

If they feel good listening to his nonsense, It is because they are conditioned that way, It has nothing to do with the content of his speech.

East Africa walla,

How many from that 1 million are REALLY conditioned. I am one of those many ..... I also went to his vaiz, and so did many of my friends and relatives ...... but we went coz we were forced too .... we live in this society and yes, may be we are cowards not to come out openly ..... one of my relatives, a young chap, whose parents are die-hard fidayins, when asked what did you learn or hear anything new .... he says - but who was listening?? - a silent majoirty, like any other majority, is silent for now..!!!!! History shows and proves that. If one million is silent, that does not at all mean, they believe in all this crap .....
