Dear Mumineen, Boss search is still on but I have found a news item in a Gujrati paper regarding Dr.Idris. Following is the free translation:

"Dr. Idris ne thayeli Jail ni Saza
London’s Amil Dr. Idris was gave 8 month’s jail punishment by Old Baily Court No. 16. He was arrested on charge of rash driving on 2-7-1989.He was driving his Mercedes car when he was chased by police. His car was stopped by police on A-40 road. He accepted that he was driving at 68 to78 miles speed. But police said he was driving at more than 68 mile speed. His car moving at such a high speed met with accident with another car driven by Mr. Morris, which caught fire killing Mrs. Morris and their 18-month child who were seated on back seat. Where as Mr. Morri, who was driving the car was burnt seriously and he died after struggling for life for 3 weeks in hospital. Dr. Idris was charged for telling lies about the speed of car for killing 3 people in accident by his car.
Three English Lords defended Dr. Idris’s case. Questions were raised regarding Dr. Idris’s character and conduct. One Lord said they he knew him for long and he held Majority shares of one metal industry at Karachi. His wife is also a decent lady. One more person, an English professor in Islamic studies at Oxford University also defended Dr. Idris. He said Dr. Idris wife is also a post-graduate in Islamic Studies and a decent lady.
Beside these three doctor’s recommendations few others also defended Dr. Idris. One eye specialist sent his letter, one letter signed several doctors of a hospital was also produced. One more letter by a member of British parliament was also produced in the court. These people gad said that Dr. Idris is a head of his community; that he is doing welfare work and he is trustee of four Trusts. Beside he is building a mosque costing 70 million dollars for development of U. K. If he is jailed it would be great lost his community. He is also an old man suffering from Diabetics and other diseases. (His age then was 45 years). No Bohra came forward to defend him.
The judge while reading the final verdict in an open court said, In similar case normally a punishment for five years is given but since he dose not have any previous record and enough recommendations regarding his character and reputation have been received a punishment for 8 month jail is accorded to him. Court also ordered to keep Dr. Idris’s driving license in court custody for four years.
Jivanjee from London says that a delegation with Shaikh Taher bhai Saheb has gone to seek Aga khan’s help to get quittance from 8 month’s jail term."
Dear Mumineen! Now my question is whether Dr. Idris completed his 8 months jail term?
