meaning of dai

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

Unfortunately, all problems in the community can be traced back directly to the rule of the corrupt kothar and the Syedna. So if anything against the Syedna is a "big no", then you are wasting your time over here and the progressives are wasting their time with you.

If you come with a closed mind, nobody can help you understand anything. For a long time, through many posts, in a variety of ways it has been made clear to you where the source of corruption, both in terms of money and in terms of beliefs and Islam, is located.

If after such a vast amount of effort and time, it becomes clear to you that you don't want to open your eyes, you are already a lost cause. What a waste of a God gifted human life, which you have converted to slavery of another human.

My sympathies are with you. May Allah grant you some taufiq.

The present Dai being a symbol of what is wrong (or right) in our jamaat depending on one's viewpoint, my question is does anyone remember or know of the countless times we say TUS and pray Tulul Umr ni Namaaz ane Dua for any other syedna except the present one? I assume in spite of all the prayers being said for his long life , he is going to die. right? I have heard a story regarding his secret visits to Germany where a younger person has plastic surgery done to impersonate him so that the loot maar of the community can carry on " ta qayamat'. Does anyone know anything about this at all? Given the money at stake, it does not seem so unlikely , specially as the German doctors and what he is being treated for is never mentioned by anyone !

You always come up with similar quotes and "what do u people have against mola", "why dont u leave us abdes alone" etc. etc. There is an ancient Talmudic saying which fits people like you perfectly...“He who is kind to the cruel ends up being cruel to the kind.”

Let us not be partisan. Let a third party, not involved in the argument say so. Neither Orthies nor Progressives.

Now with an open mind read what the various commissions, comprised of retired and eminent judges have to say. Nathwani commission as an example.
