Toronto Jamat is docile .. it is not that most are fanatics or do whatever they have been asked too ... it is more like a 'silent majority'. People do not like this crap that much but most of us are stucked one way or other - reasons could be family to financial (and yes this makes us cowards to some extent) but there seems to be no way out, simply put we were born free but are in chains everywhere.

Nobody wants to bell the cat .......... and cats are too catty!!

So people are silent, looking and watching ........ it seems that something will happen if there are signs of Division after the demise of 52nd Sultan. JC I beg to disagree.

Bohras in general live in fear....whether its fear of excommunication or isolation or family issues. This will not change much even after regime change. To many its a way of life and you cant change how u live unless you are ready to make sacrifices which many wont..again because of fear. So its a win - win situation for the Jamats and More La (and his successor!)

Sometimes its surprising that wives,parents, fear of social boycott, fear of excommunication, children's futures etc take precedent over the true basic principles of Islam and the concept of Allah as one and only God. JC, every individual on this earth have choices and it depends on the individual to decide what is right or wrong. Likewise you cant choose to accept being in the community but not believing in the amils or the jamat activities. Some members reason that we are members but we dont go to the Jamat except for Moharram, Ashura or Lailatul Qadr. These I find as the biggest hypocrites as they are actually abetting the jamat in their activities and promoting the extortion being experienced by the whole community. I want to ask these people that do you HAVE TO go to a JAMAT to celebrate these big days? Arent the reformists also celebrating the same too without these extortions too. Today these members may not choose to participate with the Jamans or the Jamat but nevertheless have big posters of More La in their living rooms (All torontonian members!) During the moharrams they listen to the same person who is promoting SHIRK and encourages actions contrary to the basic principles...Today ALLAH is remembered less then a human (check Milad Salgirah functions) Its really a sad state of affairs.

So in summary they really arent excuses for ones action. Its either right or wrong ... nothing in the middle!!!

Milad celebrations

Milaad Raat Program : Thursday , 24th March 2011 Time 6:00 PM
Milaad Procession will start at 6:00 PM. All mumineen are requested to come on time and join the procession. The procession will be leaded by bearers of Canada Flag and Dawat e Hadiyah flag followed by Burhani Scout Band. Jamali Madrassah children, AeF trustees and members, Shabab members & HQHT members will follow after their respective banners . Janab Amilsaheb will grace the procession at the end along with the mumineen. Mumineen are requested to wear feta & fakhir libaas in the procession. Madrassa Children and mumineen will be given roses , balloons and/or lanterns to hold during the procession. Mumineen are higly encouraged to bring bicycles, motorbikes and decorated cars to enhance the spendour of the procession. Those who have banners or flags or any other items which they can hold or any musical instrument they can play during the procession can do it as per the guidance of Procession Organization team. On this historic occasion of Al Milad e Me’avi, it is duty of each and every mumin to make the procession as grand as possible. Shabab ul iddiz Zahabi is organizing and managing the procession. Any suggestions to enhance the grandeur of the procession are highly welcome and can be emailed.
Procession will end at 7:30 PM. Maghrib Isha namaz & tawasulaat namaz will be followed by Khushi ni Majlis. It’ll commence with tilawat e Qura’an and qasaid. After qasaid recitation, all mumineen will have a chance of reciting madeh or make a takrir for 2 minutes. Mumineen can recite any madeh and in any language, however self composed madeh will be given a preference. Takrir can be based on a shaan of Aqa maula TUS, any mojeza or any personal experiences which has enlightened your life. Mumineen who are interested in reciting a madeh or delivering a takrir should inform Janab Amilsaheb in advance so that a list can be prepared. End moment requests shall not be entertained.
This will be followed by matemi noha and madeh. After sherbet and wadhawani rasam, mumineen can do najwa araz to Janab Amilsaheb. Please do araz of najwa or hadiya which relates to the shaan of Aqa maula TUS. Najwa can in gold geni or fakhir amount. Gold geni is more afzal. Please write your name, address and size of geni or amount on the envelope before doing the araz.
Mumineen & mehmano are invited to a khushi nu jaman thereafter.

1:45 PM Salatul Tasbiul Azam
2:00 PM Zohar Asar Namaz
Khushi ni Majlis
Janab Amilsaheb will grace Khushi ni majlis in Julus saqelat . Julus will be preceded by Burhani Scout playing the band.
Mumineen mardo should wear paghri/feto and fakhir libaas in khushi ni majlis. A golden ribbon should be attached to sayas which start from knee length upwards, round the collar and back downwards to knee length. Mumineen bairo should put mehndi on their hands, wear fakhir rida and adorn themselves with fakhir jewellery .
After sherbet, wadhavvani rasam shall be performed. Mumineen can also join wadhavani rasam by bringing their own wadhavani thali. Mumineen who intend to bring their wadhavani thali are requested to inform their names to janab Amilsaheb ensure proper planning.
Mumineen who could not do najawa tus shukr araz on milaad night should definitely do it on milad day. No mumin should remain mehroom from this.
Mumineen will have the azeem sharaf of listening to Kalemaat Nooraniyah in waaz Mubarak thereafter.
Khushi nu jaman will follow maghrib Isha Namaz. All mumineen and mehmano are invited.
It is Janab Amilsaheb’s taqidan farman that all mumineen should take whole day off on milaad day. This announcement is done a week before so that mumineen can plan their day off in advance.
“Aa din ni hurmat aney azeemat ghani che . Aa din ma barakat ghani che . Ibadat ane dua no din che , Barakat lewano din che .Tesi Sagla mumineen mukhleseen si adaban iltemaas chhe ke sagla job thi pura din ni chhutti le. Je sagla bimaar hoi te pan aavani potani puri koshish karse em ummid che. “
Mumineen who have still not registered their amalatut tabbodaat are requested to do it the second phase so that their names are included in Aqa Maula TUS dua mubarak on milaad day. Mumineen who have done niyat of any amal but have still not completed can also register the amal.
Mumineen who have still not paid the unit of $352 are requested to pay at earliest. This is also a part of amal of ayyam ul tabbodaat.
Important :
Janab Amilsaheb will personally do araz of najwa and reports in Hazrat Aaliyah Nooraniyah. Mumineen who have done darees in their homes and in markaz and have taken photographs should send the photos in jpg format to Janab Amilsaheb so that they are also included in the report when araz is done in Aqa maula TUS
Mumineen should have shakaranu ( sweet) in the meals in these days. Milaad na din saghla ek bija ne sakar chakhave and mubarakbadi aapey. Aa dino ma evu koi amal na karey jena thi koi mumin nu dil dukhe and dil maa ranjish paida thai.

Above is a mail from the Missisauga Amil to its members. Is such extravaganza a sign of a religious leader? Why does one have to pay a unit of 352 dollars? Why does one have to do Najwa in gold geni? Common this is surely Dai worship. Is this truly an islamic sect? More La is supposedly to be a religious leader but look at all the pomp surrounding him.How would you differenciate this from the Hindus celebrating their religious "God's on Earth"?
