And for your city aamil i'll suggest report him to IT Dept. with the help of your friend, as he will be able to provide you enough proof to nail the Aamil.

Do report once you are done.

aqs can the master show by example where the wajebaat and ziafats he personally receives by his own hands get declared for tax obligations ? the we can ask the Amil do as his maula is doing !

Someone mentioned the the Sayedna does not know the pain his action does, while at the same time he can read the mind and hearts of his Abdes ..which is BS !

Zada now will enforce his zulum and when Kolkata guys struggle to cough up 5xsabeel they will be accused of failing to follow Maulas farman and kushi they will be in breach of Misaq...

This is a well practised approach with the dadhi, rida, etc.

Aqs,

Don't try to defend wrong. There are many amils who are on amalat in my city has taken help of this gentleman.

If you say that the amil extract money as salam from mumin or from jamat as fee for special namaz or vaez are showing as their income in income tax return then every body are sure on this board that there is no truth in you and you are doing only to defend the wrong.

OzMujaheed,

File a RTI writ and ask for tax declarations of Syedna(tus). As far as i know Aamils do file their tax returns as per the directives of vazarat.

if you are asked to have beard as per Sunna and your woman is asked to cover her self then how is this Zulm of Kothar

Br aqs,
With all due respect to your comment:
if you are asked to have beard as per Sunna and your woman is asked to cover her self then how is this Zulm of Kothar
It is not just being asked to keep beard and women wear rida, it is forced down people's throats.
Tell me if I didn't have a beard, will the amil perform my nikah?
Tell me if I didn't have a beard, will I be allowed to recite marsiyah's in majlis?

You will concur that asking Rs20000 or Rs25000 to pay by an average working person is not very humane. I only wish that Syedna saheb has taken into consideration plight of ordinary bohras before giving monetary hidayat.
You will also agree with me, that jamat people will try to make this hidayat a reality. By doing so, so many people will suffer miserbaly. YOu may never know, for a sick person that amount may make a life and death difference. Jamat uses all coercive tools at its disposal, including stopping your day to day religious affair, or forbidding you from performing lot of things, or making you a pariah.
In misaq we dont swear to pay anything in return for hidaya. You may agree, as no jamat runs in transparent and honest manner, they are accoutable to none. They have no right to ask anything let alone increase many folds.
When I asked the above question, I wanted to make the point, that when it is known that such hidayats are not practical, why to put people into this embarassing situation.

i am also paying 5200/-

Dear Aqs,

It seems that either you are deliberately misleading or you are from the kothar class who are ignorant about what is happening in the community. Regarding a complain to the higher authority just ask any one of your friend or relative in Chennai and Kolkata and find out how many letter are written against various amils and all has gone to the dumb ears. The similar story is of almost of the bilad.

Yes they do file as per directive of vazarat but not as require by the income tax department. Thanks for giving an idea to file RTI writ. Now the bohras are frustrated and I am sure RTI writ also will be filed in short period. Wait and see.

There is nothing wrong to give hidayat to wear a rida or beard but it is julm when you insult in public who are not obeying. This has happend severol time in my city and your forth coming defend that to report to the higher authority will be a base less because once it has been done by a shazada him self.

I n our city many are giving sabils more then 10,000 for the establishment and plus about 2 to 5 thousand as chula sabil. Here also you are misleading the bohras.

There are no grievance redressal set procedures in place. If you write a letter to Al vazaarat, individually or collectively regarding any complaint, there is a deafening silence. On the other hand, the local Amil will start his nonsense behavior of selective avoidance - make you crave for "maafi" - as if this was the agenda of his life. In fact he is just trying to save his a*** - trying to conceal his stupidity and shortcomings from the higher ups. He is in fact the person who is going against the directives of Kothar and the culprit. Not vice versa. Who, how and where does an ordinary person get to explain this?

Confirm and toe the line - this is the basis of dawoodi bohraism today. No matter what arguments are put forward, everything is just an eyewash.

This is the ground reality and every Bohra is suffering. Not everyone is forthcoming with his or his views. Unless some major policy statement is issued and followed to the letter, things can only get worse from here.

Maqbool,

by higher authority i didnt mean shz or any one in kothar, i meant Govt. authorities. if you know the culprits who evade tax then help govt to nail them with the help of your friend.

i have agreed to it before that tanzeem people go over board in implementing beard directive. i also dont agree to force things. just tell them and if they like they will keep it.

I dont know about your city but in my home town my family pays 2100/annually. this is for middle class families. rich guys pay in the range of 5k-7k/annually.

Thanks Maqbool, I could not have said it better

aqs are you daring us to report Amils worldwide and get them to audit their collections and provide their tax statements ?

Why not just get Kothar to make a ehlan and put it on the jamaat khanna noticebaord..what a way to start being transparent.

Ozmujaheed,

No i am not daring you for anything, i am also pissed off at listening to corruption charges now and then, so if you and others have some proof then report it to authorities, if Allah's fear is not working then let Govt. authorities instill some.

Majority of Muslims do not fear Allah. It has become child play, Authorities are currupt.

Bohras have central religious authority. for them religion is like "Hathi na daat, Some to chew and some for show"
I have personal knowledge of Shehdas eating non halal chines food and feeding chicken tenders to their kids.

Remember Fish rots from head. Show me which other sect of Islam precticing bribary (salam, Najwa etc)

Who is denying that there are any salams? Is receiving salams illegal? You can post any number of videos as you like.

And that too cuz jhumaath has way too many coomitments and income that they have is far too low and its below par most of the activities and jhamans
So to increase the standard for kolkattians professional sabeel is increased
what do u mean standards of kolkatians? will the kolkatians now have 4 meals a day and university degrees? or higher income? the only standard that will be increasing is the weight of kothar's huge pocket.

lol u sound as if some rich bohris pay higher taxes and its all gonna trickle down! the jamaat's limits are only till jumatkhana and the various parties held in it. they donot reciprocate in any other way. as u said urself the "bhoaj" (weight) of the jamans is too much. jamans are not a necessary part of a lifestyle. if jamans weight is too much to bear reduce some jamans. is the only shan the kothar can demonstrate and its yardstick the number of lavish jamans it can do?

show me any expenses made by jamat all over the world for the welfare of mumenins. Building masjid or jamatkhana is done only from extra collection, and most of the jamat fund is used to maintain the white elephant like amil and if the jamat members are clever they eats from it because molas hands are on them.

Money is precious money is power
Money is a devil cunning and evil
Source of war destruction of nations

Money causes hatred money unites
Money is lovely it attracts like a magnet
Cupboard love is given for money

Money is a master, it instructs we surrender
Money has rules we follow blindly
Cheating and stealing are done for money

Money gives power money gives respect
Money can earn you a stay in a coffin
Root of evil, source of happiness

Money is wonderful, money is Eden
Money is a murderer it kills like a cobra
Rejoice with money, cry for money

Money is a stinging bee, money is delicious
Money is sweet as sweet as honey
Once you lick it you’ll die for money.

Money is war, money is peace
Money’s path is deception, cheating and enmity
People kill and get killed for money.

Money is attractive, money glitters
Money does make one act like a dummy
Petrified can’t move, like Egyptian mummy.

Money and power are closely related
Money is power, power is money
Too much money may mean power and misery.
