Kothar Inc is also trying too hard to appear arabs, with thier fancy mix of gujarati and daawat ni zabaan into lisaan-e-daawat. one small example .. replacing the term "farzando" with "Atfaal" that means child in arabic ..

Kothar does not embrace Indian culture with pride and acknoweldgement, instead they cook thier own stories to justify thier adaptation of idol worshipping to promot thier control over idolm worship hungry masses.

Ask a mullah to admitting wadhvaanu with aarti as an adaptation of reverence or respect, these mullahs will fume in anger and justify with some lies about prophet muhammed times doing aarti bla blah ..

I agree with you completely. Nothing wrong with wadhavu for birthdays, marriages - it is our Indian heritage, and it is not necessary that whatever we do should have the stamp of Arab culture on it. That said, wadhavu for a person in authority like the Dai does appear like puja/worship. And please don't drag "progressives" into this, these are the opinions of individuals. Everybody who criticises the Kothar does not automatically become a progressive, don't paint everybody with the same brush. Progressives are not closet Islamists, we respect and are proud of the influences of Indian culture and we continue to do wadhavu during birthdays and marriages.

I beg to differ. Wadhavvanu aka aarti is a polytheist ritual carried out by hindus which has no place in Islam.
And we are not talking about Arab culture ... we are talking about whether it is an islamically accepted ritual and whether it was practised at the time of Rasulullah (saw). I don't think it would be correct to say that Arab culture is also Islamic culture. It's perfectly possible that some Arab rituals do not have any islamic sanction at all.

A moderators certainly has to give reason for deletion. It can otherwise lead to summary deletion based on personal bias of the moderators without recourse.

Secondly, others will know why it was deleted and serve as a benchmark.

Mods can also edit out the "offending" part and leave a moderator note about it.

I am moderator of a very big forum which I won't name but there are rules for moderation.

Indian religious and opinion leader, the Peace Ambassador His Holiness, Syedna Aali Qadr Mufaddal Aaifuddin, has jetted into the country for a two week holiday.


The Peace Ambassador, who heads the Dawoodi Bohra community, has an entourage of 50 followers and is in the country for two weeks where he will be on holiday in Chirundu.

Mr Naymuddin Kausarali, who is the Mombasa representative of the Dawoodi Bohras, said Mufaddal Saifuddin’s message to Zimbabweans is to safeguard their birthright.

Mr Kausarali also urged Zimbabweans to maintain the peace that is there in the country, laying lavish praise on the welcome that they received.

Negative reports, largely fuelled by vindictive foreign media outlets have been attempting to soil the country’s tourism sector by spewing out falsehoods.

This month, the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church world leader, Dr Ted Wilson also visited the country to spearhead a spiritual revival.

The government of President Robert Mugabe, which took office after a disputed election in July 2013, has ignored the rights provisions in the new constitution. A legislative framework that would improve the human rights environment in line with the constitution has yet to be created. The government failed to provide redress for some 20,000 people displaced by the Tokwe-Mukorsi dam in Masvingo province in February 2014. In violation of the rights to water, sanitation and health, many people in the capital, Harare, have little access to potable water and sanitation services. Police continue to use old laws that deny them due process rights. Activists and human rights defenders, including lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people, continue to face harassment by police. There has been no progress towards justice for past human rights abuses and political violence.

there was a practice of posting muffy maula's touring pics on hunting trips with rifles and trophy, displayed in high resolution in bohra masjid cinema with background music ( ghanu jeevo or some other madeh) or notice boards. since last year, i did not see any such drama. either I missed the show .. or they did not put it.

With the Raza and Doa Mubarak of Aqa Maula Syedna AaliQadr Mufaddal Saifuddin saheb (TUS) and under the guidance of Aaliwaqar Shahzada Dr. Qaidjoher bhaisaheb Ezzuddin saheb (DM) and Aaliwaqar Shahzada Ammar bhaisaheb Jamaluddin saheb (DM) and motivating leadership of Janab Aliasger bhaisaheb bin Aaliwaqar Shahzada Dr. Qaidjoher bhaisaheb Ezzuddin saheb (DM Shababul Eidiz Zahabi Mumbai took a welcome initiative to organize a special event “Celebration 2015 and Burhani Bazar” to celebrate the joyous return of Maula TUS na farzando and were supported in this by Anjumane Shiateali, SBUT and Shibam Associates as Gold Sponsors and Monginis and Faiz e Dawoodi Bohra Trust as Silver sponsors.

Syedi Mazoon saheb Syedi Husain bhaisaheb Husamuddin saheb DM graciously accepted the araz of Shababul Eidiz Zahabi Mumbai and performed the iftitah of “Celebration 2015 and Burhani Bazar” on Saturday 12th Shaban 1436 30th May 2015 at 11:45am at Tambawala Grounds (Near Hatimi Masjid). It was a glorious day and inspite of it being peak Summer time and usually very hot everyone was glad that the weather was cloudy and pleasant. The iftitah ceremony was attended by Saadaat Kiraam, Ummaal Kiraam, Kothar Mubarak, Aayaanul Jamaat, Sponsors, Participants and many children who were eagerly awaiting the start of the event.

The program started with Tilaawatul Quran e Majeed and then followed by Qasaid, Madeh etc recited by members of Shabab ul Eidiz Zahabi, Mumbai. A welcome speech was followed by Sharbat / Wadhawani Rasam and Najwa araz. Shabab members did salaam and then all the Sponsors were felicitated. A 53 kilo cake sponsored by Monginis was cut by Syedi Mazoon saheb DM. It was distributed by Shabab members amongst all attendees.

Syedi Mazoon saheb DM visited each and every stall in the Food Court and Consumer Stalls.

With such an auspicious start we were sure that the response will be amazing and we are glad that on both evenings the venue was full and everyone enjoyed the Magic, Jugglery and Mimicry shows organized for them. The rides were priced very reasonably so that the kids could enjoy thoroughly.

We had the pleasure of welcoming the Area BMC E Ward Corporator Shrimati Yamini Jadhav and her husband Shri Yashwant Jadhav who visited the event on our invitation. They visited all the stalls and appreciated the efforts of Shabab ul Eidiz Zahabi in hosting such an event which is open to all and had such a variety of entertainment and fun for all age groups.
We had promised a Shopping Bonanza, Food Extravaganza and a variety of Games and Rides for the entire family and from the positive feedback we received we are glad we could achieve our goal.

The Consumer Stalls started with the sponsors Shibaam Associates. Thereafter the Burhani Bazar section started in which an amazing variety of new and unused or sparingly used products had been displayed for sale which had been contributed by Mumineen of Mumbai. These were sold at fabulous discounts and at unrealistically low prices.

The other Consumer stalls were of Pidilite, 7 seeds Honey, Maimoon Creations, Garaan, Raj Distributors – Pure Berrys, Suryaraj Solar Power, Bohra Market, Mohammed Property, Saifee Burhani Novelties, Prism Sales & Distribution, Galaxy Computer Services, Shahi Dryfruit Mukhwas and Paan, Royal Crystal Art, Burhani Jewellers, Arya 24kt India Pvt. Ltd., Tulip Creations, MN Creations, Premises Leasing Group of Cos., Stallion Associates, Ridas & More and The House of
Pure Cottons – Ridas & Joris.

The Food Court comprised of Stalls of BIR Sosyo, Bhol Tikka Hut & Bhol Caterer, Café Emoticon, Delhi Zaika, Al Firdaus Caterers, Taj Temptations, Hot en Spicy, Chilli Food Court, Ice Golas, Cup Cakes and More, Ezzi Soft Drinks & Fortune Food Products & Kapadwanji Seekh Paratha.

The Games & Rides section had Fun Park, Air Hockey, Mini Train, Bungee Jumping, Giant Wheel, Titanic Boat, Rock Climber, Bull Ride, Zig Zag Slide, Hair Beading, Balloon Sculpting, Balloon Shooting, Caricature Artist, Zig Zag Slide, Popcorn, Candy Floss and Robotic Games.

There were Lucky Draws throughout the day and Gifts were sponsored by Topstar Food Products and Toysbox. A grand lucky draw was announced at 8pm wherein a Bismillah in gold was given by Arya 24 karat India Pvt. Ltd. Saifee Hospital had also given 3 basic health checkups as part of the lucky draws.
