If you want to be true to Islam then be faithful to Holy Prophet (PBUH) and follow his SEERAT which included TOLERANCE, FORGIVENESS, GENEROSITY and PATIENCE. There is no Islam without obedience of the Holy Prophet(PBUH). By only keeping a beard of certain length and keeping your pants above your ankles does not make one pure follower.
