Bro Araz5253:

Why are you so bent upon (1 original + 15 more posts) everyone throwing Mola Photos when your moniker here is so hypocritical, why don't you throw that away first ??? OR you must be an Abde Aamil who never practice what they preach.

It is good to first throwaway the photos before speaking ill of them. My alias is named so coz i extract great fun from the peculair names of rituals and entities used by abdes like mola, deedar, araz, chakri, barakat, mumineen etc does any0ne share the same excitement ?

Throwing away a person's photo prior to criticizing him or his actions is synonymous with discarding a book because one dislikes its contents. Taking it another way, a Namdhari Sikh will remove his 'paghdi' before drinking alcohol or remove his 'kangan' on entering a brothel. Don't we remember the childhood fable of a rabbit when it says: "Hun aankh michi laun to pachi mane koi joi na sake!"

that's a wrong comparison keeping mola photos is idolatry and one who keeps it in spite of knowing its prohibition is a disbeliever. And ignorance is not an excuse in Islam.

Moreover, throwing away mola photos and doing it in public will encourage others to do the same.

Removing physical attachment is USELESS if you can not remove emotional attachment.

No both are complementary and ofcourse only the person who is emotionally prepared can throw away mola photos. The point is that mola photos have to be thrown away as a sign of protest and polemic like how hazrat Ibrahim a.s demolished idols publicly to set an example.

As far as my relatives go I do not dictate their lives and beliefs and throwing away pictures is not the mission or priority of my life when there are more important and pressing issues facing Muslim Ummah

not keeping muffy pic in house will have BIG impact on mentality and psychology of people, they want you to keep their pic so that you keep thinking about them as a saviour day and night........you cant force people to throw away pic but you can start from your own house. we dont have any pic in our house but we do keep frames and Arabic calligraphy of Quran ayahs.

Yes you are right and progressives should embark on a mission to get rid of this idolatrous photos of pola mola. Nobody even thinks in this direction ! Mola photos are clever psycological barriers devised by satan himself.

I never had it in my house but your persistence of throwing away had a reversal affect on me and I decided to bring it in my house, Let me see if it changes anything in my life. Throwing v/s keeping

Throwing away of pictures of people who are highly revered by Dawoodi Bohras should be discouraged in the strongest of terms. Just to rile DB or to prove that i am no more a Bohra i will never go against the Quran which says not to disrespect other's religions. You can dispose of the pictures as you want but to tease Bohra's is not the way to go on. Please desist and stop asking others to take part in this tom foolery.
