If I was a martian and you were to explain the concept of God, How would you explain it. Are there any scientic proofs you would employ? Coz this martian mainly understands the language of rational and logic. Can you prove the existence of God?

Do not worry about Martians. I am sure God will send them a Martian prophet from amongst themselves. God says in the quran that there have not been a people without the message being delivered to them.
Let us just worry about earthlings.

> Can you prove the existence of God?
The answer to this question is apparent - a resounding "no."
If the existence of God could be proven in some unequivocal matter, than clearly everyone would believe in God. Science has directly resulted in people both abandoning belief in God and establishing belief in God or in specific religions - so it obviously holds no objective answers on this matter.

Murtazaji,
Some poeple cannot understand why people even dare ask questions such as "Does Allah Exist". Because for them, everything is based on that belief, that Allah does exist! However, I am glad you have addressed this question to all us Muslims.
Yes, I agree, there is no evidence of the existance of God. But then again...if you trace everything back to the big bang theory...where did that come from?
Also, I am sure you believe in things such as love..but can you really sceintifically prove the fact that something like love does exist? No. To believe in love, one must have faith in love. Similarly to believe in Allah, one must have the faith in Allah.
Granted that there is no hard core evidence of Allah. But if you look at it historically you can see the pattern in which people changed their lifestyles? I mean, for a whole community to hoola baloo over something that its really there, is pretty strange..don't you think?

What existed before the creation of universe? Me, of course. But I would not expect your mind, the way I have arranged it, to understand all that. So, just worship me. I created you for that. If you do not, I will send you to hell. I create that too and anything else that your little mind can concieve of. I like to be worshipped by the toys I create. If my toys do not amuse me, then, like your silly children, I can also throw a mighty tantrum and do horrible things to you.
Remember a silly Sufi story saying that I was bored by myself so I created this heaven, earth and hell and humans to amuse myself!
But I am merciful and will point you to a silly argument about my existence which was first devised by Anslem, a stupid devotee of mine, who is now considered a saint by little minds. This goes like this:
Think of a perfect human being with all the perfect attributes of infinite knowledge, wisdom, mercy, compassion, power.
Now such a being must also have an attribute of "existence". For, without that, he/she/it would not be perfect.
So, if "existence" is one of my perfect attributes, I must exist. So there, you of puny intellects!!

porus,
you say it in a sarcastic way, but who knows, maybe god did create us for his amusement and he will definitely throw a tantrum (as is evident by the prophet's hadith that HE will be very angry on the day of judgement) and throw us in hell. Either way, we are better off doing what he asks us to do, don't you think?

Anajmi,
If you think God is so childish that he will throw a tantrum if you don't exactly go by what he says then what is the guarantee that he won't change his mind and still throw a tantrum even if you do go by his vaguely established rules.

Well, he is God isn't he? So I will believe what he says in his book and trust him. If he changes his mind, there is nothing I can do about it, but then that is the difference between us, humans and HIM.

If he indeed "did create us for his amusement and he will definitely throw a tantrum (as is evident by the prophet's hadith that HE will be very angry on the day of judgement)"
...then how is there a " difference between us, humans and HIM "
