It would have been a matter of pride for the entire community that at least a few individuals like Nasir Husain Gulam Noon are excelling in countries outside India as Curry King.
An everlasting attachment of the Bohras with Jaman.
But the newspapers of UK and Times of India and Telegraph of India had reported on 13th July 2006 that:-
“Mr. Gulam Noon’s peerage was blocked after officials at the House of Lords Appointments Commission discovered that he had made a secret £250,000 loan to the Labour Party. Sir Gulam, the curry magnate, was definitely destined for the Upper House until the commission read the report about the loan in The Times. Richard Roscoe, the head of nominations at Downing Street, was immediately contacted by the commission seeking urgent clarification about Sir Gulam. It is the first of its kind into a political party since Lloyd George sold peerages more than 70 years ago.
In short Gulam Noon was to be awarded the title of Lord but it was found that Gulam Noon had donated £250,000 to the Labour Party secretly to acquire this title. The investigation was done and the Scotland police arrested the close adviser of Prime Minister Tony Blair who was a scapegoat of Noon and the prime accused in the scandal.
Thereafter we see that Sayedna Saheb went to London. He along with Noon had a meeting in the House of Lords and then it seams that the matter was hushed up.
Question is: Are the Bohras on the fanatic side of the fence proud of this man who after achieving great success in UK is walking on the foot steps of his India masters?

Dear Brother Insaf,
I really don't know what the fanatics think of Noon. What I know for sure is that Noon, Dr Idris, Lord Sainsbury and the Labour Party have a very close relationship.
We know that Dr Idris is walking on the foot steps of his India masters. He uses the divide and rule policy all the time.
Please feel free to comment

As far as I know Gulam Noon has not done any harm to any bohras, he employs a few bohoras, has used his influence to help our causes in UK.
I know that he does attend the mosque regularly but that his decision.
He has worked hard to get to where he is now.
To clarify he did not pay the bribe to the labour party , he had paid a loan to Labour party which was not declared by the labour party, not his fault.
We as Bohras should be proud that one of us is doing so well in business and in the community.
He also contributes to a lot of charities in UK.
Therefore overall marks out of 10 , I would say 8.
His friendship with Sainsbury is his way of networking.
