As you can see, we are back in business. We apologise for the distruption in service these past few days. It was somethng beyond our control. Our Webhost all of a sudden changed the server configuration without even informing us. This threw the message board out of whack, and made us really really mad. Also, we lost a day's worth of data - all the posts from Sep 1 pm to Sep 2 pm has gone. We are extremely sorry about this.

As a result of this bad experience we decided to change the Webhost. This website has moved house, so to speak. Hopefully it's going to be more secure and efficient and you all will have a lot smoother experience from now on.

Important: The address (url) of the Message Board has changed. The old bookmark won't work. Pls update your old bookmark.

Also, many old posts seem to display "question marks" in place of "dashes" and "quotation marks". We cannot get around this problem, but hopefully this won't be a problem with new posts. There might some other glitches we do not yet know. If you come across any, do let us know.

Thank God the board is back

I had worst of the fears
Just after 9/11 a number of Muslim forums on the web were ordered closed by some hidden (not so very hidden)powers

One popular such place was on sunnah.org, this was THE PLACE for visitors and contributers, sadly it was mercilessly closed down. The web site is still there but I am sure 99% of their traffic must have disappeared.

Oh I am glad the board is back, I thought the guys reached your place as well.

As you can see I have signed in with a slightly different name. When I tried to post a reply, it said YOU ARE NOT REGISTERTED and when I tried to register with muy original name it said SOMEONE ELSE IS ALREADY REGISTERED so I had to register again.

We checked your old account, it seems to work fine. You should be able to post messages too. Pls try logging in again.

I too had the same problem. So I created a new name Kabeer instead of Khan.

but this happeend when I used Opera

I had opened THIS account using Explorer, so when I come to this site using explorer I am ALREADY logged in, thus this post using explorer. After posting this, I I intend to ask a simple question by starting a new topic. This I shall try and do with my old identity, i.e. I'lll logout and then again login. Let us see
