Sayedna in ICU

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

Yes. Sayedna Saheb's condition is critical and he has been admitted in ICU in Saifee Hospital - Mumbai, according to a Bohra doctor attending on him. SMS are sent to Amils all over asking to instruct Bohras to pray for his health and slaughter goats in his name. Numbers of Bohras in traditional dress are seen at various places today.

in Case Syedna (God forbidding) goes in coma, what kind of spin the Kothari goons will give
Would they say that Syedna is in Maraqiba or doing Mazakerat with Imam U Zaman or would they be honest and say that he is on life support?

Omabharti,

The example of Late Dhirubhai Ambani is not far behind. It was rumoured that he was admitted 'dead' in the hospital but was purposely kept on ventilator for almost a fortnight as the sons wanted to buy time to sort out the nitty grittys of their business empire. If at all the truth was declared on the same day then immediately Reliance Inds shares would have been hammered down very severely. The suspense was kept alive for a few days for obvious reasons.

It wouldnt be surprising if the same startegy is adopted to solve the disputes between the known 4 splinter groups who have been fighting tooth and nail since quite sometime to grab the coveted and lucrative post held by their master. Hence if at all Burhanudin saab is in a coma or the obvious has taken place then they would buy time to settle matters between themselves and then announce the name of the next candidate who could be the one of a popular choice. They would then float the story that announcement was made prior to him going in a coma and as the only witnesses are people of his own group who would obviously echo the elected person's theory it wouldnt be difficult for them to convince the abdes. After all the monetary stakes are too high for them to forgo. It will be interesting to watch the turn of events.

Rest Allah (swt) knows best.

Most of the time Burhanuddin’s whereabouts are always kept hush-hush and secret by the kothar. For example, whenever he comes back to India after his lengthy and moneymaking excursions.

kothar always keeps health related and personal family problems top secret from the gullible bohris. They never keep us updated or informed about his current health condition. Or what kind of diseases is he suffering from? Shouldn’t we be allowed to know rather than guess?

Now this is typically what the kothar’s public relations pattern is: After a while of silence, Burhanuddin suddenly “pops” up either in Germany, England or Africa. There he can be seen and enjoying the usual un-Islamic stuff like receptions, selling titles, wadhawanu rasam, ziafat, bethak, kadambosi, wholesale nikah, meeting with corrupt politicians and the list goes on and on.

And how come he is still not announcing who is going to have the honour of being the next oppressor?

There are 2 versions being circulated within bohras as to the cause of Burhanudin saab's ailment and he being subsequently admitted to the hospital :-

1) He contracted yellow fever during his visit to Africa.
2) He felt sick after attending a ziyafat and was directly taken to the hospital from the venue.

The Bohra doctor attending on Sayedna Saheb says: Depration as the cause of his illness.

News in todays Times of India - Mumbai Mirror
Slaughter Goats to save Syedna
TIMES OF INDIA - MUMBAI MIRROR - Saturday, March 21, 2009 By Manoj R Nair

Every Dawoodi Bohra family in the country asked to pray and offer an animal sacrifice for the health of their 97-year-old spiritual leader, admitted to Saifee Hospital last week
As Dawoodi Bohras pray for the health of their ailing spiritual leader Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, admitted to Saifee Hospital at Charni Road with old age-related complaints this week, the community's religious leaders have asked each Bohra family in the country to sacrifice a goat for his quick recovery
.

Since March 19, the community's local religious officials called Amils have been receiving SMSes in Gujarati from their higher-ups, asking them to encourage Bohra families to offer prayers and a zabiha or sacrifice for the 97-year-old Syedna, the 52nd Dai or head of the 20-lakh strong community.

The message has also been received by Bohras living in places like Bhavnagar and Udaipur. In Udaipur, which has a large Bohra population, between 50 to 60 goats were sacrificed on Friday, a community member said. However, Shabbir Nalwala, a businessman from Pydhonie said, "All Bohras are praying for his recovery. But goat sacrifice is an individual's decision."

A community member from Nagpada said that some offered goat sacrifices on Friday, and more offerings will take place on Saturday morning. "Prayers were offered at all Bohra masjids in the city. We began at 11.30 am and continued until the 1 pm namaaz. There were more prayers after the namaaz, up to 2.30 pm," he said.
Bohra families, who are Shias, have the option to give donations to mosques to carry out the sacrifice on their behalf. While Muslims consider many animal species, including cattle and camels as 'clean' for sacrifice, the goat is the most preferred animal.

"For religious rituals, a goat with an unblemished black hide is considered the best sacrifice," said a member of the community.
The Syedna, who turns 98 on April 15, is believed to be the representative of a secluded Imam, a descendant of Prophet Mohammad. He is known to spend nearly 15 hours a day at work, and is still at the helm of his community's religious issues.

Just a week ago, he returned from a trip to East Africa where Bohras make up an influential business community.
Just before he was admitted to hospital, he reportedly spent many hours at his Malabar Hill residence, Saifee Mahal, meeting delegates from Bohra communities all over the country.
"The Syedna travels and works so hard. I think he just needs some rest. At 97, he is as healthy as people 50 years younger. All of us are praying that he completes 100 years," said Saifuddin Kopty, a businessman from Fort and an ardent admirer of the Syedna.

The SMSes received by religious leaders (Amil) reads:
"Etilla Thai ke Tamara Moze ma Momineen Muklesin Ne hidayat Karjou Ke Aaka Moulani Umar Darazi Waste Dua Kare Ane Zabiha Kare...Allwazarat."
(This is to inform you that you should instruct all loyal Bohras of your area to pray for a long life for the Syedna and also slaughter a goat... Ministry)

(Why only Slaughter Goats to save Syedna, even human were sacrified to save him. Remember Bohras from London who were sent to Karbala and Najaf to pray for Sayedna's health and were were killed.)

And yesterdays Hindustan times:-

Bohras pray for ailing spiritual leader
Hindustan Times - 20 March, 2009 Alifiya Khan

THE CITY'S Bohra community got together on Thursday to pray for their spiritual leader Syedna Dr Mohammed Burhanuddin, who was admitted to Saifee Hospital, opposite Charni Rd. station in south Mumbai.

The community swung into action after members received messages informing them of the Syedna's condition. The Syedna (97) complained of poor health soon after he returned to the city on March 12 from a trip to Nairobi, said community sources.
"It is true that he has been admitted to Saifee hospital. He is doing well," said Shaikh Muffadalbhai Shaikh Saifuddin Ezzy, a member of Anjuman-E-Shaite Ali, an association of the Dawoodi Bohra community. But he refused to give further details, merely saying: "Please do not interfere. It is an internal matter."

When in Mumbai, the Syedna lives in the Saifee Mahal complex in Malabar Hills. India has approximately seven lakh Bohras.
Members of the community were disconcerted by the news.

"My family is disturbed by the news," said Memuna Jafferali Cutlerywala, (42), a resident of Marol in Andheri. "We have been praying continuously, and I have sent messages to everyone I know to pray for his health and quick recovery."

A resident of Bandra, Sakina Nalwala went to visit Raudat Tahera, a mausoleum that has the tombstone of Syedna Taher Saifuddin, the current Syedna's father, to pray for the spiritual leader's health.

"I was feeling uneasy so I went to pray for his health. The entire community is anxiously waiting for good news," she said.

Gulp
Just to refresh your memory this is not Malumaat or Mumineen message board, even though we respect Syedna as Dai with all his corrupt practices
but this is not the forum to sing his praises go to the other forums, this Syedna and his father are responsible for corrupting the DAWAT and creating dissention in the community.
Aae Saifuddin Naa Jaani Jaldi Khisko Jaaldi Khisko

How many innocent goats must be murdered in the false hopes that this heinous act will breathe life into ailing Burhanuddin? And even if the non-fathomable and mysterious man-invented diety were to "hear" these prayers and "accept" the bloody, barbaric act of hundreds of goats being throat-slit, the thief will only live longer to take money from children and poor women.

In times of the weak economic scenerio globally, atleast there is something to cheer about for the 'kasais' (butchers). The bohras are playing a key role in improving the business of the same muslims who are looked down by them..... "Aa to musalman chhe, hamein to mumin chhe". Now suddenly the black goats would be a premium lot, an armani or gucci in their clan.

The subject matter is the hot topic of discussion amongst the bohras.

Bohra (A) : Who will be the next after the 52nd dai ?.
Bohra (B) : Do you play cards? .
Bohra (A) : What has playing cards to do with this question ?
Bohra (B) : Simple. Tell me how many cards do you play with ?
Bohra (A) : Off course 52.
Bohra (B) : What comes after the 52nd card ?
Bohra (A) : There are about 2 or maximum 4 jokers.
Bohra (B) : Thats right, now you have the answer for your question..... JOKERS !!!

Lolz no doubt.. they r jokers…

But dere seems a certain big downfall of DBs after 52nd
I don’t think dere ll b no more hype after him…

Da 51st n 52nd are considered Godz among DBs…
How pathetic… how can som1 remain such barbaric in 21st century… I don’t understand…

I just wonder if da marketing strategy used by kothar is great or da common bohras r dumb!!

In normal world affairs if the chief is unwell the deputy takes over..can we expect Mazoon saheb to be in charge ? I doubt with the idiotic power struggle.

If there was major issue and required a Dai's farman or intevention who would be accountable at this very moment ?

I have not seen any real life turning decisions which solves world hunger or war and peace in the my lifetime but some small mediocre farmas like let us rebuild a tomb or let's all congregate in some new city as something is about to happen and anxiously we are all let down because we suddenly hear gamo gam si unit collect karwa no farman che.

If the nas was on someone other then Mazoon this is the time he could get real life experience. I hope with this issue succession planning is high on the agenda and imortality is not taken for granted.

While I wish the Dai a speedy recovery as I hope everyone on this board does, let's face it, the Dai has not had to deal with a "major issue" in decades. I mean, how hard is it to rule a million people who adore you and are willing to obey your every command ? The only major issue is that several Bohri children born in the last two weeks remain unnamed.

I have heard a story told by a mumeen regarding reason behind the ill health of the Sayedna.
he had told that it is 100% correct.

Their was Kadambosi Baithak at Saifee Mahal, and Moula had presided the baithak. A lady came for kadambosi. When Moula saw that lady he was shocked. He asked the Shehzadas standing near him, that who allowed her to come in. He told them to being a bottle. Sayedna Saheb put his finger on the forehead of that ladt and then put the finger in bottle and told to close it immediately. The lady then ran away. Some people ran after to catch her but she was vanished.

It was then told shaitan has come in some form near Moula, and if he would not have put him in the bottle , then it would have create a lot of trouble to the public. Moula instructed to dig a very deep hole and put the bottle in it.

After this incident Moula became ill. He has taken all the "balas" of mumineen on him.

The story is to hard to believe, put as per the rumours this is a true fact.
