Many Apples for High Priest

The one and only free public forum for Bohras. The focus of this forum is the reform movement, the Dawoodi Bohra faith and, of course, the corrupt priesthood. But the discussion is in no way restricted to the Bohras alone.

Many Apples for High Priest

Last Saturday, I attended Syedna Qutbuddin Saheed's urus majlis in London, UK. The majlis was presided by Hatimbhaisaheb (somebody told me that he is Melum bhaisaheb's father in law). During the majlis they distributed salawat's apples. Hatimbhai saheb got 4 apples, his grandsons got 2-3 apples. The rest of mumineen got 1 each.

I fail to understand. If the item is for salawat then wouldn't 1 apple suffice? I hope you understand my point. Why does he need 4 apples? Why does his grandsons need 2-3 apples for salawat. This is what's breeding corruption and destroying the very fabric of our community.

I think we used to be a "bramans" and I realised that it's hard to change from a priestly caste to a islamic community.

My fellow reformist, There is going to be a better day

for ordinary bohras one apple is enough to keep the doctor away as they are less diseased in spirit and mind. but the amil and his family who are used to living on haraam ni kamai need more apples as they are highly corrupt and diseased, almost rotten to the core. thus they wud need to keep a whole hospital full of doctors away....!!! :mrgreen: :lol:

Melum bhaisaheb's father in law is nowt relevant to becoming the priest...this story only confirms that unless one is genetically or matrimonially related to Mr B then the chances of priesthood are rare.

It will be interesting to find out if people kissed this guys feet and treated him saintly with Darees and Salaams !

the 4, 2-3, 1 is good ratio of his durajat..if it was any other senior Shahib it would have been 5 to 1 ratio and if it was a Shazada would it be 10 to 1 and imagine if Mr B himself...we would have great global Apple shortages

@EA
If apples are not substantial, what is?
And who in his right senses is bothered about such petty details as who is whose son in law?
Is that what your daawat is reduced to? Gossiping about the dai's family and their soap episodes?
