Dr. Abbas Alvie passes away

Dr Abbas Alvie, a well known reformist from Udaipur passed away today (June 7, 2012). Dr Alvie, a medical doctor, was also well versed in Shia/Fatimid literature and was a passionate speaker on the subject. Every moharrum he gave lectures on Islam and gained prominence as a speaker. He was invited to many reformists centres in the UK, East Africa, Kuwait, Dubai and within India to speak. Dr. Alvie was around 65 years of age and is survived by a wife, daughter and two sons. May Allah rest his soul in peace. Amen.

Dr. Abbas Alvi was noe of the teachers in Madressa Deeni Talim in Udaipur and a remarkable Waizeen.
