Raza had been granted for a new markaz in Conroe (on the outskirts of Houston towards north). Since several years, abdes who lived in Woodlands area which is far from the Houston masjid (1-1.5 hours drive or a disance of about 35-40 miles) requested a new center for worship due to long commutes but they weren't heard. But now, since one of the sons (he's a doctor) of the Houston Aamil has moved there, they have realized the hardship and have granted raza and have bought a property for markaz in Conroe.

There are also people living in other areas that are also far from the Houston masjid such as Sugarland and other areas near city center but Conroe was chosen specifically because Aamil's son has moved there. The new markaz has started from the previous year with Ramzaan namaz happening there.
