Re: STF View on Iddat
Perhaps you only care to do detailed analysis of 3 or four sermons of people whom no one cares about LOL! Actually, I did very detailed analysis of all 10 of STF's sermons. But I only posted 3 here as I realized that posting here was a waste of my time. Many people, like yourself, are fanbois and b...

Re: My daughter is my Mother
This topic seems a little strange but I came across concept of "Busaheba" and "Aaisaheba". Literally meaning of these two words are "Great Mother" sort of Farsi/ Urdu and Marathi. Now, I came across one old lady wife of Late Najmuddin, Fatema bibi. She is also mother-i...

Looking for: Documentary on Bohras by British Historians during British Raj
I remember, a decade or so ago, there was a pdf document available on this forum written by a British historian, commissioned by the crown detailing the beliefs, rituals and political affairs of the Dawoodi Bohras... could anyone please help me finding this?
thanks!

Re: Mullahs, the scapegoats of Syedna.
Please stop hyperventilating! Read carefully, we said "we are not against the Dai as an institution ". Which means, let us clarify, that we accept the system of the Daiship (with all its flaws) but have problems with the incumbent. As for the evils of Mufaddal Saifuddin's regime or, for t...

I have been following STF's waaz and sadly it has diminished in quality exponentially.. He started from detailed explanations of Quran ayats and their actual meanings to how awesome the last 3 dais were like characters out of the MARVEL or DC universe.. the dreams TS had, how TS loved his dad etc et...

Re: Historical accounts of Karbala
what is the point of all this haqaiq and ilm when your life style doesnt match to the ahlul bayt. (or even close to it) I count on characters and not on the bookish knowledge. scriptwriters are easy to find, the real test is to live the life of preached characters. both ilm and amal are important a...

If there was a 'like' button, this post would have surely deserved it... What I fail to understand is that why (and more importantly, how) would Kitab ul-Idah wa'l-Bayan prove that the S. Hussain was the Dai because as far as I undesrtand, at that time, this level of knowledge was known by very few....

Yes, your above writeup shows that you are awaal chela and member of Ustadi Bohras. Instead of the da'i you have your own "Gau Mata of Ustadi Bohras", i.e. Shaikh Ahmak One, Shaikh Ahmak Two, Shaikh Ahmak Three and Shaikh Ahmak Four. Not sure who your current Gau Mata is as you seem hell-...

Infallible is a very broad term - If you mean it in the sense that someone who cannot fail then no, absolutely not.. Dai-al-Mutlaq are not infallible.

The Bohra history includes imams who were kings and lived like kings and were known as tolerant and just rulers. Why focus on the duat who were poor? Dear members, I am looking for information with regards to the rules of consumption of meat as a form of diet and it's history. It is morally wrong to prevent poor women from getting jobs to support their family. It is morally wrong to tell women they should sit in corner of the house, and only cook, sew, make topis, cook rotis and not pursue ambitious career goals. It is morally wrong to tell husbands to throw out their wi...

Re: Origin of Tayyibi Da'wah after Seclusion of Fatimid Imam(as)
In his biography of his father, Ja'far bin Mansur al-Yaman says that in the absence of the Imam the dawa is established by three ranks: da'i mutlaq, ma'dhun al-mutlaq and ma'dhun al-mashur (i.e. the mukasir). In such times the Imam, Bab, hujjas and da'i al-balagh accompany the Imam into seclusion. ...
