Re: Claims of Imam-hood?
And if you call it a matter of "faith" then why isn't the Bohras' faith as pure as yours? Belief in the face of reasonable doubt?

Re: Claims of Imam-hood?
So if Mufaddal Saifuddin (or the Aga Khan) can convince a whole group of pretty intelligent, hardworking people into believing that he is the Imam, then why is it so hard to believe that Muhammad could convince conflicted Arabs in an unfairly stratified society that he was the true Prophet of God, h...

KQ's website, fatemidawat.com, has a new update that includes a scholarly work about Ali written by KQ's daughter. If you want unbiased information on the key Islamic figures, this is probably a good place to start; it has been edited by other experts, so despite the fact that Qutbuddin is a (corrup...

Interesting post... not a surprise that these people can stoop so low. Seeing as law enforcement is useless (due to bribes and connections) against some of these people, perhaps a cleansing is in order. Someone here with money and connections (in a position of power) could get it done.

As a neutral observer, it seems that (at this point) the MS camp has a slightly more "convincing" stance than KQ's side. While many of you have rightly questioned the integrity of MS camp's sources (the nass letter, possibility of doctored video), these claims must be proven before used as...

James, advice: Unless you wish to continue being figuratively body slammed by SBM, avoid bringing up what is and isn't permitted in islam... In my opinion, this sequence considerably dilutes any additional arguments you make: "Islam has ruled Insurance as haram . Perhaps reform is needed in Isl...

Actually, if you listen closely, words are indeed audible, albeit not very clearly. The beleivequtbuddin website has a few arguments correct. He says "khuda barkut aape" pretty clearly at one point. I'm not advocating anyone here, just pointing out the facts. I still find it suspicious tha...

Honestly, it's just what mohamedshah said. It's faith. Unfortunately, this community has degenerated into a cult. So many driven people, if united by a competent and altruistic leader, could accomplish so much good. The well respected Dawoodi Bohra community is being destroyed as a result of the greed and callousness of the present leadership.

It would be nice to see God ignore religion when he makes his good boy/bad boy picks on Judgement day. Actually put decent people in heaven. But I guess all the decent christians and jews get the same treatment as iblis and abu lahab. Not very just at all, and I think you can agree with that.
