Re: Qutbi Bohra
While I do not believe Progressives are vested in the politics, I'm sure matters of leadership and it's inevitable conclusions is of interest. Considering a good chunk of Progressives (as seen on this forum) aren't deviants in faith in itself (or atleast don't make it a primary concern), but a move...

Re: Qutbi Bohra
Bro GM, I understand that, which is why I don't denounce the possibility of it either. Your reasoning for things being the way they are resonates with me too; the alleged motive makes sense. But I can't believe in it, simply because it may be true. Identifying your inside source adds further credib...

Re: Qutbi Bohra
If insiders are to believed then there definately is a document lying with the 52nd Dai otherwise there wouldn't have been a hue and cry among the average bohras about it. Remember that this point is raised not only on this forum but even within the average bohras themselves, albeit in a hushed ton...

Re: what will happen to our community ?
Bro GM : Did you know that the Mansoos had a second wife for a short period who was the daughter of the current Mazoon saheb. But it ended in divorce because his first wife did not accept her or support him. May be he is saying all this from his own experience. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't M...

If there's a document written by Syedna Taher Saifuddin about the Mazoon, it gives Mazoon support.

Re: Qutbi Bohra
I am sorry to disappoint you all with the latest news from Mumbai that there will be no Qutbi bohras. Mazoon saheb who was in USA left for India a week ago and has written a rebuttal to the Hindustan Times that he has accepted the Nass on Mufaddal Bhaisaheb Saifuddin. Awesome. Is this rebuttal publ...

Re: Qutbi Bohra
It's not truth just yet if it's between the lines. We attempt to make sense; our queries are valid and not completely unfounded. But only people who know for sure could clear doubt. I sure hope they do, and urge them to do so. At present, we can only be patient and discuss intelligently. Let's caut...

Re: Qutbi Bohra
Well, till SMB is alive Mazoon saheb`s camp is not going to take any such step which will result in people`s sentiments going in favor of mansoos. So, strategical and planned moves are done and gradually Mazoon saheb has achieved lot of ground and support. Its inside family game which is going to b...

Re: Qutbi Bohra
No, I don't think so either. But (if true) having support by a revered figure such as Syedna Taher Saifuddin (Mazoon) is better than uncertainty of Nuss (Mufaddal Bhaisaheb).Humsafar wrote: I don't think a Dai can do nuss on two succeeding Dais.

Re: Qutbi Bohra
While it seems it could be a false rumor, it's still too soon to say. Let's see if anyone has anything transparent or constructive to add to the matter. Particularly from those that claim they're with Mazoon. Or moreso, that Mazoon has a different faction for them to be with.

Re: Qutbi Bohra
I would also like to ask, for everyone who claims they are part of or know people part of Mazoon's 'new daawat': what was the reasoning behind this change in allegiance? If indeed this is true, why change camps? Any evidence provided by the alleged 'Mazoon camp' to suggest so? I would prefer actual...

Re: Qutbi Bohra
On the contrary, reverence for Syedna Taher Saifuddin runs high. It helps that it's been propagated for years by Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin himself to the point where he's the most celebrated Dai in our history. Questions concerning the legitimacy of Syedi Mufaddal bhaisaheb wouldn't suggest the D...

Re: Qutbi Bohra
It might be true STS intended Mazoon to be the Dai. It might not. It might be in writing. It might not. We can't know further on this matter unless it's actually touched upon by people concerned with it. In this day in age, it falls upon the Syedna of the time to make the decision of Nuss. Your rea...

Re: Qutbi Bohra
A thought worth considering: After the alleged "nuss", there have been various events in which both Syedna and Mufaddal bhaisaheb have been present together. The most prominent (to me) being Ashara 2 years ago. I do not recall seeing the Syedna rebuke Mufaddal bhaisaheb a single time. On ...

Re: Anybody in Internet Marketing ?
For all these years I was growing up in Middle and High School. Still growing up in life as well.
Developing a semblance of better thinking (and a few years of Speech class and Debate club) helped me find a voice.
For better or worse.

Sceptical sums up the doubt succinctly.
Edit: Although from what I recall, Moiz bhaisahebs words were audible. Despite fondness from what I've heard of the man, doubt's still in reliability of the chain of events.

Apologies for my attempt of Hindi/Urdu: Jhagda to hoga. Aur hota hain. Lekin uska bhi tariqa hain. Ghussa aur gaali ki zaruri nai hai. Aaj rasul ka zamaan bhi nai hai, jisme haq ka dalil apunka saamne hai. Islam itna pehla huwa ke baad log unke haq personal samajh per lehta hai. Aur jo log ye maant...

Re: Why is this remour of new Qutbi Bohras sect?
Indeed it's not as gratuitous, but even the mention of it likely relegates the rest of the words this informative post has to offer. Compare that bit to the other information mentioned and it's a contrast of popular belief (of both past and present) and folklore, intertwined. It doesn't have to do ...

Welcome to the forum, and sorry but I have to admonish you. If that's a reason for you not wanting to marry a Bohra girl it's a rather foolish one. These young girls didn't ask for this to happen to them. Your protest is unfair. If indeed you do marry a Bohra girl and are gifted with a daughter you...

Re: Why is this remour of new Qutbi Bohras sect?
I understand brother and agree it should be irrelevant. But we can't have senior reformists continue to bring this up as it'll alienate those that agree solely with accountability.
If it's a view that continues to pair with justified demands, I fear the amount of people that listen will lessen.

Re: Why is this remour of new Qutbi Bohras sect?
Reevaluation of faith is too drastic a measure.
Accountability is what resonates now.
Pushing both together, hand in hand, doesn't seem like an effective tactic to me.
The former will make the faithful disregard the latter. Whereas establishing the latter could eventually challenge the former.

Re: Bohra Madrasa, the start of abde ideology
"Wrong" is a relative term. Essentially you can say, that whatever we learn and believe in that doesn't conform with generally accepted principles of Islam could be designated as "wrong." Then again, there are people themselves who determine what are generally accepted principle...

Re: Why is this remour of new Qutbi Bohras sect?
But the further divide took placed in 1837 A.D. among Daudi Bohras. This split is important to our topic as this split was due to ambiguity in the declaration of “Nass” as 46th Dai Syedna Badruddin Saheb died at the age of 26 years due to food poisoning, without pronouncing clear and open “Nass- Ja...
