Re: Moula Cares

All jest aside, I'm up for it.

Sadly I have no substance of my own and will make no progress without actual contributions from others.

I'm surprised this hasn't been done before.

Re: This Forum Is Creating Panic In Kothari Circles.

Al zulfiqar, Except they’re not “facts” backed up by hardcore evidence: you call it how you see it, which I have no qualms over. My main issue on arguing with denunciation is that it’s not progressive at all. You speak of valid points, but your approach condescends rather than brings to reason. You...

Statistics and all that - anajmi vs. Grayson

Back to statistics are we? Rather than point out the specific factors in your article (which I will if you insist) and say why none if it still isn't absolute, consider the following: http://www.psmag.com/health/rerun-therapy-remote-control-restores-self-control-44378/ vs. http://healthland.time.co...

Re: Moula Cares

Humsafar, I rabidly insist on such and rightfully so. This isn’t the 70s or 80s (thank God) where information solely comes from the top; truth is more transparent than ever. My words target the fence sitters (and those unafraid of honesty), to start them going a little. People need to talk about th...

Re: Qutbi Bohra

its very unfortunate If its really true that money is being offered to join Mazoon camp. but i highly doubt it as their has alway been a rumor of getting 4 lac in cash if one puts pictures of Jafariya bohra's leader in our shops or houses instead of Syedna's so this offering of money to join is old...

Spoon feeding makes us no better than the opposition. Information gathering does.
Eye-opening is what'll get things going. That's the kicker. However it's achieved.

Re: Moula Cares

You're right, it's dumb that we're in such a situation that even the Quran can't save us. Break the monopoly, show flaws in the system. Maybe it is time for you to smarten up instead of taking comfort in your dumbness. On the contrary, I'm glad I have (to an extent) and seek to further. But never w...

Being in a situation, willingly I might add, where even the Quran can't save you is a pitiful situation to be in. Maybe you don't deserve to be saved. I don't cons...

Re: Moula Cares

Brother GM, I will inshallah look further into the forum to find more definitive evidence later of the topics you mentioned, but at the moment I'll give a brief reflection of what I know (and don't know) of those incidents. 1) They owned the hotel. That's great; was there alcohol served while they ...

Re: Moula Cares

Bro anajmi, Yes, there's a lot of substance to see. The issue is the people don't see it. Brainwashed. Blind. Call them what you will. Ostentatiousness like this has become the norm; whether it be through unflinching conviction, or resigned acceptance. Which is why, at this point, we can't attempt ...

Re: Debunking The Tiffin Myth..

Discussing statistics becomes relevant when furthering one's point in this particular matter. I do not hold any definitive position (homecooking is good or bad) ,I'm merely pointing out there's two sides to the coin and statistics could be used to "prove" either. Putting the dots together...

Re: Debunking The Tiffin Myth..

Fair enough; let me try to come up with more "juice". Statistics to "prove" a point is complex because the parameters used are not only variable, but there's also a good deal of external influence that may or may not skew data. The link you provided did just that and did it well...

Quraan Translation

Salaams brothers and sisters, Could anyone guide me to a good Quraan translation (English). One that preferably uses modern and easy to understand English. I've come across a good few online, but am curious to users suggestions as to which one they use and why. One's without commentary/analysis are...

Re: Compendium of Truth

you wanty proof and witnesses, go attend one of the so called religious affairs of the clergy and make sure take your tape recorder and camera. I have attended a good few in which I haven't came across controversial discussions. The culture and religious practices might be, but again, I seek specif...

In the case above it worked with those conditions. If implemented honorably and efficiently it remains good.

In the cases of bringing hardships, I agree with eradicating it.

Things are not always generally one way.

Re: Moula Cares

Salaams brother. Unfortunately your example is applicable to pretty much all intangibles of faith; while I’m inclined to agree with you in an Islamic context, it can’t be denied that from a purely academic point of few, nuances of faith can’t be proven or disproven. Us remaining firm on different v...

Re: Compendium of Truth

Lol, I understand this is rather tricky. Perhaps I misworded some suggestions out of passion at the expense of practicality. Let me give it a shot. Instead of saying things like "young kids treated princely, openly stealing money" and "outright opulence by the ruling elite" (whi...

Personally, not a fan of the dabba system when it's forced (I'd like to think my future wife and I have fun with each others cooking instead of receiving daily meals we're not always interested to eat), however I'm certain that when carried out efficiently, it's meant with good intentions. The jama...

Re: Compendium of Truth

Welcome Grayson. Good idea about compiling a dossier of all the wrongs, but how is it possible without people unwilling to come forward and name names. Just naming the culprit is incomplete evidence, it doesn't amount to much. Besides, for Bohras themselves they do not need "evidence" of ...

Compendium of Truth

Assalaamu Alaykum brothers and sisters, I have lurked around this site for many years and have come across various stories and claims pertaining to a plethora of topics about our faith/culture/society. I humbly suggest that we keep a record (whether chronological or not) of incidents that have take...
