By the way a friend of mine recently bought the book "Merchant Princes Of East Africa" from the University of Chicago, and gave it to me. It is a great study book about entrepreneurship. It is wonderfully written. I felt proud to have grown up knowing them and benefitted from their help. It is when I learnt about how our Syedna was making our Jamaat turn against such a great benefactor of the community( I was only 19 then) that I realized there was something seriously wrong with our Jamaat leaders and our people too. We have lost our back bone it seems. Remember, this was the time around the Zanzibar revolution and Tanzanian African Socialism when people were panicked and needed help. We had lost our jobs, our homes, our businesses, schools and our kids had no future in site. The Ismaili's Aga Khan was able to arrange a mass exodus for his people to all over the world.Of course there was no help coming from the Kothar; in fact the kothar was taking money out of East Africa.

here is a jist of what each and every bohra mumineen needs to know.
censorship is most effective when no one admits it exists. The first step to freeing yourself from oppressive power is to find the courage to admit you are a fraid. The more people confess to being afraid, the less reason there is to fear and easier it is to isolate repressive forces.

Easy, don't pay the charge. An empty masjid will teach them a good lesson.

you do not need waez of an amil that just flatters the dai to shed a few tears on Imam hussain and neither do you need a often repeated sing song of ghano jivo or to listen to another deceptive scheme to con you out of your money. simplicity is best. It is apparent you do not like what you see is going on. your conscience says it is wrong to ask money by the goonda committee of bhavnagar for you to shed a few tears on Imam Hussain. Be Brave. Hussain is with you. your thinking is right. do not attend such money making masjids and also request your friends and family to do the same.

its not about the amount of money, its the question why money is charged on first place?

millions visits mecca every year, do they charge some money to be in first place near Baitullah?

so giving excuse of crowding is not a valid reason at all.

Bohra folks were even blamed '...ilokano akido sacho notto..' that is why qayamat befell them.

Short of a cane to whip everyone in line, there is nothing "strick" that this person can do. He needs to know that there is no easy way. He should set an example by himself refusing to pay for him and for the women in his family. Then he should take his family and sit outside the masjid on a "chaddar" so that people can see that he is fighting against the tyranny. When people see someone taking the first step, they will start following.

not alone brother bhavnagar, not alone in this time and age. a chadar in front of bohra masjid and with your family. we do not need another udaipur. Do what Rasool would do. talk to people who you think may liten to your sensibility. turn even a few if you can to see your point of view and then may be it might make sense to a sensible few. Be careful who you talk to; kothar has inside informants and goondas everywhere.

I know this happens a lot and mostly with poor guys in community, I try really hard to get some moron to get me to some thing like this, but unfortunately it never happens, even while my nikah Amil was so cool and didnt asked any thing more, if he would have, I would have shown him stars in day light.

but any ways I will keep looking for some guy who come across me and demand some thing like this, and I will make sure he wont be in condition to ask again to any one else.

There is no need for threat. If huzaifa is at fault then ; since you are on this site which is read all over the world , state your case openly so others take heed from your experience with huzaifa.

Since the bohras are coming on this site with these complaints is it possible for this web site to go a step further and set up a complaints form which can then be submitted to the proper authorities? So for eg. if there is a problem with someone in Madagascar, then we can have a section where there would be a form that can be filled up for the Madagascar authorities (if the Madagascar authorities provide such a capability) with the proper details and submitted online. Same thing for other nations from where this site has been receiving these complaints.
