Got to know this from a bohri girl in US.. Apparently she studied at jamea in surat n wanted to continue her studies in US. Now as you may know, American schools/colleges require transcripts (a kind of report card according to US format. But the jamea refused to issue a transcript because of which she could not get credit for jamea education..

This clearly shows that the Jamea education has no real value in the existing world, it is rubbish and sheer waste of time.

Doesn't Jamea train future bhaisahabs? In that case it's the foundation of a very lucrative career lol.

Give me the names of bhaisaabs who got their education in Jamea because as per my knowledge there are NONE. To go a step further even the sons of ex-jamea ustads and pupils have not opted for a Jamea education !! This proves that Jamea is just a show piece to showcase it to the public at large.

Really, I thought Jamea was the training ground for all the Chamchas lol!

What do they learn in Jamea? Why do people go there? Is it free or do they have to pay?

Say everything like a parrot, just follow what they say, don't ask questions.

It is like asking, why do abdes give Ziafat. The ones going to Jamea are mostly the children of rich Sheikhs, NKDs etc who are sent by their parents who in turn want to prove their loyalty and slavery to Kothar. It doesn't matter to them if the Jamea course has no value in the real world as ultimately they have to manage the established business of their father and for which they feel that higher education doesn't matter much.

Ghulam Mohammed

Much of what you say about jamea is correct. Yes, they do learn everything parrot-fashion and cannot ask questions. In secular education we are told to debate and are tested on our evaluation and are told to give pros and cons of any issue. However, in jamea everything is black or white. In imtihaan you must praise the Dai as much as you and attribute all good things to him. You must also scorn anyone and everything that is deemed to be un-bohralike.

Yes, a lot of jamea children are offspring of wealthy sheikhs who, as you say, “want to prove their loyalty and slavery to kothar”, and they have established businesses to fall back on.

However, you are wrong that bhai sahebs and ustads do not send their children there. Some do. They know that it is very lucrative to be an amil and send their children there so that they can train for a future amalat. Of course, this being the da’wat, there are divisions according to what “class” of bohras you belong to. The bhai sahebs children do not actually attend jamea much, unlike normal bohras, where attendance is strictly monitored. They get a lot of private tutoring from ustads. And when they do attend, they tend to sit separately and do not mingle much with their classmates.

What one gets to learn in Jamea is not clear but we certainly see a lot of match-making happening there and umpteen nuptial knots getting tied between the male and female students. So , in that sense its a sort of a heaven where marriages are made.

I have earlier also posted that Jamea is creating a army of burden on society. 50 students clear Jamea every year, they dont have any job except being some low rung job of a mullah in a madarsa, Its the lowest in hierarchy. Kothar is trying very hard to put these passouts as Mosul cum moallims in low population areas.

And its a misconception that Jamea students marry between themselves as boys there want girls from commoners who will always be in awe of them and girls dont want to marry boys over there as they know they cant be aamil and they cant adjust their fancy lifestyle with madarsa Moallims so they try to catch sons of wealthy shiekhs.

Nothing but indoctrination centre. Jamea from jam'a means gathering.... they collect abdes who indoctrinate others in return.
The students here don't respect their teachers. The debates if any are pre concluded.
The concept of sallim then sal lim.... means first accept that it is true even before any discussion and only them sal lim (ask why).
The shafahi drama is being carried out every year and the arrogant qasim loves scaring students during orals.

And yet stupid abdes flock to get admission into it every year just to join the rat race.
Shame on humanity if such institution exist.

Over the years, i have Spoken to Jameea graduates 1 on 1 several times, out of context of majlis and madresah - notwhere they act like robots. It's actually refreshing to smooch and socialize with them, and eventually their guard and robotic behavior wears down.

Some are as crippled and trapped in the systemic cult which only comes to their realization years after they immerse themselves inthe non-bohra world, or continue to read and become acquainted with world affairs. They realize they were living in a cult, and that bohraism is a bubble. These crippled and trapped are not as few as one would think. They are Not out in the open, and it takes a while before they trust others to share their views.

Nowadays, they are just robotically doing their jobs to earn a living and not become homeless.
