This Swamy is a B@@@@d of the highest order, he had originally formed a political party "Janata Party" but due to his hindutva leanings and hatred for muslims he was allowed to join BJP.

Harvard drops Indian MP Subramanian Swamy's courses

Harvard University has dropped two economics courses taught by Indian MP Subramanian Swamy after he wrote two articles that "demonise" Islam

Mr Swamy, a trained economist, recommended demolishing hundreds of mosques in the article.

He also wrote that only Muslims who "acknowledge that their ancestors were Hindus" be allowed to vote in India.

Mr Swamy said the university should have consulted him before taking the decision.

The controversial piece appeared in the Daily News and Analysis (DNA) newspaper in July.

Harvard University said Mr Swamy's views were "reprehensible". The MP holds a doctorate in economics from the university.

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences voted with an "overwhelming majority" to remove the courses taught by Mr Swamy.

Its meeting resulted in a "heated debate" when Comparative Religion Professor Diana Eck proposed an amendment to exclude Mr Swamy's courses, the campus newspaper Harvard Crimson reported.

"Swamy's op-ed [piece] clearly crosses the line by demonising an entire religious community and calling for violence against their sacred places," Prof Eck was quoted as saying.

Earlier in July, more than 400 students had signed a petition demanding Mr Swamy's removal after the university had decided to stand by him.

Books of Nehruvian historians should be set afire: Swamy

“Marxist, Muslim and Western historians” were in the line of fire on Sunday at a seminar organised by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh-backed Akhil Bharatiya Itihaas Sankalan Yojana (ABISY) to offer tribute to ‘A Forgotten Hindu Emperor, Maharaja Hemchandra Vikramaditya’ with Bharatiya Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy calling for burning of their books.

The complaint of ABISY — the history wing of the RSS — and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad against these historians was that they had ignored many Hindu historical figures by design. ABISY national president Satish Chandra Mittal said Hemchandra Vikramaditya — who had established ‘Hindu raj’ in North India before the second battle of Panipat, 1556 — was a nationalist. Books written by “Nehruvian historians” such as Bipin Chandra and Romila Thapar should be set afire, Dr. Swamy said.

He said Muslims should give up claim to the disputed land/structures at Ayodhya, Varanasi and Mathura so that temples could be constructed there. “This will help create a new milieu in the country.” Referring to the disputes over the Ramjanmabhoomi Temple-Babri Masjid in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Temple-Gyanvyapi Mosque in Varanasi and the Keshav Dev Temple-Shahi Idgah in Mathura, he said temples should be built there. “Even if the government does not do anything, I will; I will go to court.”

Replace History Books Written by Britishers: Swamy

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy today advocated replacing history books written by Britishers in pre-Independence era, alleging they had "distorted" facts about India.

Addressing students at Banaras Hindu University's Swatantrata Bhawan hall, he said the history books written by Indians should be promoted instead of the ones written by the Britishers.

Swamy said that even in the course books of schools and colleges the facts about Hindu kings should be mentioned more than the Mughal emperors like Akbar, Aurangzeb and others.

He said there was a need for rebuilding temples in places where they were allegedly demolished and mosques built.

The BJP leader also said that Sanskrit should be made compulsory in schools.

"Other than the mother tongue, Sanskrit should be made compulsory as the secondary language," he said.

He also alleged that the Uttar Pradesh government is "forcibly" getting FIRs registered on conversion issue but there is no law regarding conversions in the state like the one in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Himachal Pradesh.

"Conversions will continue in other states also. This process has been going on for ages," the BJP leader said.

Mosques and churches are mere buildings, says BJP leader Subramanian Swamy

Guwahati: Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, rather known for making outrageous statements has once again triggered a controversy by terming mosques and churches as mere buildings during his visit to Guwahati. This time even his own party men tried to shy away from the controversial leader.

Swami said the presence of God is only in temples while mosques and churches are mere buildings.

Political parties, students’ bodies and others also slammed Swami for such statements. Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), a peasants’ body in the state has lodged an FIR at Latasil police station.

“The accused Mr Swami deliberately uttered those words to wound the religious feelings of persons belonging to a certain religious group. Since such statement has the potential of, and has in fact, created a communally volatile situation in the state, under such circumstances we request you to register a case against Subramanian Swamy and other conspirators under appropriate section of law and arrest them immediately,” the FIR mentioned.

Congress, All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) and Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) among others have condemned the BJP leader.

Besides, protests were staged across the state and several organizations have burnt the effigy of Swami.

Earlier also he made similar comments. Swamy had said that if an illegal Muslim immigrant was ready to convert to Hinduism then he could be allowed to stay in India during his last visit.

Dear Mr. Swamy, you deserve an Oscar!

Dear Mr. Subramaniya Swamy,

I guess your brains are getting old and tired that they are building up such sick thoughts and ideas… How about taming it a little bit or just resting it in peace so that your body can feel a little light? It will be a good exercise so that other people can even see for themselves if anything like that even exists…

OMG! The Bharat Ratna idea for Rajapakshe is an awesome one and why not suggest Nobel Peace Prize instead, for all that you may know, he might even have the sufficient blood stains to be conferred with any amount of highest peace prizes’ standard requirements?

How people like you can live absolutely undisturbed in the midst of smell of blood and human flesh still manage to act intellectual and breathe to exist?

I request Mr. Narendra Modi to nominate you for the Oscars as you have acted extremely well in the movie Anaconda and the scene where you spit venom is just so applaud-able and requires extreme amount of brainlessness and technique.

I also request Mr. Namo to nominate the citizens of this country for the ‘tolerant idiots’ award as that is the only apt thing for all of our tolerance and idiotic acceptance of all jokers midst us in the name of politics.

Regards,

Bhargavi Dilipkumar

Subramanian Swamy almost ruins a marriage

Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy sent shockwaves to everyone present at a wedding when he went forward to tie the knot around the bride instead of handing over the sacred thread to the groom.

Beware! Subramanian Swamy's 'Krishna Package' Is A Threat, Not A Gracious Offer

Dr. Subramanian Swamy has a penchant for the outrageous, the agent provocateur of Indian politics. But he also has the uncanny knack of masking the outrageous in the guise of perfect reasonableness.

In a country as diverse as India, the magic mantra for everyone getting along, has always been thoda adjust karna. Swamy seemed to be echoing exactly that when he proposed generously, if rather presumptuously, on behalf of all Hindus:

"We Hindus offer Lord Krishna’s package to Muslims - give us 3 temples and keep 39,997 masjids. I hope Muslim leaders don’t become Duryodhans."

Swamy made this bumper offer in a tweet as a follow-up to a two-day seminar in DU about the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. Speaking at the seminar Swamy claimed there were over 40,000 temples demolished in the country and in a gesture of majoritarian magnanimity he announced, “We never say that all those should be reconstructed… but there can be no compromise on three of them – Ram Janmabhoomi temple, Krishna temple in Mathura, and Kashi Vishvanath.”

Three for 39,997? On the face of it, it almost appears like the deal of a lifetime. But in reality his “Krishna package” is more of a threat than an offer, just another way of reviving that belligerent slogan from the days of the Babri Masjid demolition “Abhi toh bas yeh jhanki hai, Mathura Kashi baki hai”.

What Swamy is saying is give us these three, otherwise we can open a Pandora’s Box of another 39,997.

What Swamy is saying is give us these three, otherwise we can open a Pandora’s Box of another 39,997. There are plenty more temples where these three came from. Ram Janmabhoomi, Mathura and Kashi Visvanath might be the big three but Swamy is saying in no uncertain terms, that if he does not get its way on them, there are tens of thousands of masjids they can target. The temple-masjid issue could thus become an ongoing gangrene sore that would never really heal in the Indian body politic. And between Swamy’s own legal acumen and Hindutva’s footsoldiers’ wrath-yatras, that could well be a Mahabharata battle with no end in sight.

Make no mistake, Swamy is throwing down a gauntlet disguised as compromise. The Samajwadi Party’s Azam Khan happily took the bait and asked Swamy “to take all the mosques and start offering namaaz".

VHP patron Ashok Singhal’s death gave the temple a renewed fillip. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said the temple would be fitting tribute to Singhal. But as the Indian Express points out, barely a month or so earlier, at Singhal’s 89th birthday, neither Bhagwat nor Home Minister Rajnath Singh uttered the T-word. Perhaps the BJP had seen the writing on the wall. Even Pandit Bindeshwari Prasad Awashti, the head priest at the Janmabhoomi Sansthan in Mathura had said, “If you ask me, the main issues in the constituency are the unprepared roads, power cuts and short supply of drinking water. The temple was an issue at one time, the public has, however realized that only Krishna himself can find the solution.”

Enter Subramanian Swamy with delusions of Krishna, offering a war-averting package the way Lord Krishna had asked Duryodhana for five villages for the Pandavas. This comes as truckloads of stones arriving at Ram Sevak puram, a VHP property in Ayodhya start making news. The VHP had announced a nationwide drive to collect stones in June.

Even if the BJP relegates the temple to Page 41 of its manifesto, the VHP keeps it on Page 1. Temple building, cow slaughter, reconversion of tribals have always been its frontline issues. Pushing them is its way of staying in the headlines and forcing the BJP into a tight corner. VHP leader Pravin Togadia has always been a bit of thorn in Narendra Modi’s side. Before the 2014 elections Togadia said, “We want that this country should get a prime minister who passes a law and make mandir, and while doing so, if he loses power, he should be ready to do it.” Narendra Modi, whatever he feels about the temple, clearly has no interest in that kind of sacrifice. Amit Shah had said that to resolve Article 370 and the temple issue, the BJP needs 370 seats.

It suits the BJP to run with the hares and hunt with the hounds on the temple issue but Swamy is making it harder for them to keep doing that. Swamy is often described as a loose cannon within the BJP. If one day he is taking on the Gandhis in the National Herald case, on another day he is apparently helping suspended BJP MP Kirti Azad with Arun Jaitley on DDCA. This would have been all right for the maverick leader of the one-man Janata Party. But now that his party has been merged with the BJP, the mothership does not have very many degrees of separation between Swamy and itself. And when Swamy stirs the hornet's nest, the BJP too risks getting stung.

Subramanian Swamy has slyly conjured up this horrifying vision of a scorched-earth Mahabharata style war with brother arrayed against brother. In the process he has also proven that no matter who is Krishna and who is Duryodhana in this fight, he is the unchallenged contender for one mythic role. And it’s not Lord Krishna.

Shakuni, thy name is Swamy.
