Third world really?

The innovative global measure of progress, the Happy Planet Index, has been constructed by the New Economics Foundation (Nef) and Friends of the Earth using three factors: life expectancy, human well-being, and damage done via a country's "environmental footprint."

Vanuatu — the happiest place on earth

Vanuatu comes top because its people are satisfied with their lot, live to nearly 70 and do little damage to the planet. Zimbabwe takes bottom place in the table. Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Colombia, countries that have experienced recent civil upheavals, all feature in the top 10 on the grounds that they do little environmental harm and manage comparatively high levels of satisfaction with life.

The big industrial nations fare badly. Britain is 108th, below Libya, Gabon, and Azerbaijan. The U.S. is 150th and Russia is 172nd, near the bottom of the 178 nations for which statistics are available.

I feel most of the damage wasdone by elecricity and the way its produced. If we can only harness electrical power via solar, wind and turbine making sure that nature is not harmed in any way.The places on top will remain there.
We need power(electric Power)the cheaper it is more we will use it.No one person can be satisfied with the lack of power. So it would be safe to assume that know we have four things that cannot be satisfied,Money Land Sex and Electricity.

Vanuatu, haun, wonder if they follow any of the religion.I think if you take out religion out of the aquation the world would be less divided.
A friend of mine (muslim) married a chinese girl, although he was engaged to a muslim girl. His thoughts were that if he had married a muslim girl he would never have the peace of mind that he has know. The lady lets him be himself, she never questions him about the money and relatives. She just lives her own life.
He can help the family with thousands of dollars and no questions asked.Whereas when I look at my own circumtances I see the wife getting upset about how such and such relative behaved with her,and how should I give in the name of Allah( charity wise).
Maybe we need to do away with religion, and make the world a better place.A lodge brother used to tell me that the source of all the problems in mankind is the relion. It just creates hatered among mankind.
Its friday afternoon,a little hot. Br.Anajmi want to go to the beach? Lets not worry about the books and frolic in the waves.Lets see the nature at its best and praise him.

Br, seeker,

That religion is the cause of all problems is nothing but a lie created by those who don't want to live their lives guided by moral principles defined by a higher authority.

Look at yourself, religion is being blamed for a wife complaining about money and relatives. What more proof do you want? No wonder you want to keep going to the beach!!
